Allison's POV:

I pulled my blanket up and turned on the volume down on the TV. Mel went over to Sidney's, probably to fuck and I was left alone at her house. I fluffed my pillow and laid back on the couch flipping through the channels. As usual, nothing was on TV. I sighed and flipped through a few more before pausing on the NHL network when James' photo flashed up onto the screen.

"Breaking NHL news. Earlier today the Pittsburgh Penguins announced that forward James Neal will be out for the remainder of the season." the girl said

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed turning the volume back up

"Neal suffered a broken wrist after a collison with Brad Marchand early on in the season. Marchand served a three game suspension for the hit. Neal and the Penguins couldn't be reached for a comment..." she continued speaking after that, but I was no longer paying attention. My mind was focused on James. I couldn't imagine what he was feeling at the moment...

James' POV:

"What did you just say James?" Jen repeated staring daggers into me

"I...uh...Jen..." I stammered, not knowing what to say

"We're practicing for a skit." Paul interrupted, looking at me

"Yeah. A skit we're doing for skates and plates." I continued

"A skit?" Jen replied skeptically, but then she shook her head. "Whatever...James...are you drunk?"

I looked down, "No?"

"Don't lie to me James." she replied holding up the empty bottle of Jack

"Shit...baby...I'm sorry...I just...I'm taking the news really hard..." I said

"What news?" Jen asked

"I'm out for the rest of the season."

Jen's demeanor changed completely, "Oh my god, baby! I'm so sorry." she said running to me and hugging me

"It's okay..."

"Is there anything I can do?"

"Take him home and make him go to bed." Paul snorted

I smacked him on the arm, "Shut up..."

"That's a good idea. Let's go..." Jen replied pulling me out of Paul's house. "What's this skit now?" Jen asked

"Oh haha...it's an inside joke...you see...it's Sid! He still like Melanie..." I replied, which wasn't a lie...he did...but that's not what was going on...also I was drunk and didn't even know why I was saying I still loved Allison, because I wasn't even sure what was going on.

"Oh...James...I have something to tell you." Jen said

"What?"

"I'm pregnant..."
