The Ice Prince and The Snow Queen

Jonathan’s Secret - Part 2

On Saturday, during the practice, before the big game later on that evening against the Manitoba Moose Jr., Jonathan took the ice to get in some extra drills and warm up shots. He was a little bit of an overachiever.

Ashia Bergeron sat in the seats, clapping, cheering and making high-pitched hooting noises to egg him on. Jonathan nodded to her, as he shot off around the rink.

“Get it Jonny!” Ashia screamed, cupping her hands around her mouth and then shying away, back into her chair, as he shot her the look.

As he completed his second lap around, his eyes caught sight of a bright red color. Jonathan’s expression faded, slightly. He wasn’t ready for Kacia to meet Ashia yet. He hadn’t had time to tell Ashia about his “friend”.

“Ashia, why don’t you go to the locker room and wait for me in there. I’ll be in to get my good luck hug and kiss!” Jonathan called, his voice slightly on edge with nerves.

“Okay...I guess so! Geez, hockey players and their pre-game nerves!”

She sighed and slid out of her chair and skipped toward the tunnel. She hopped over the wall and then dashed down the tunnel, gleefully. Jonathan watched her, shaking his head, while smiling.

What would he do without his Ashia Bergeron?

He skidded to a halt at the opposite end of the rink, across from the tunnels, where the penalty boxes were.

“Why, Kacia May, what are you doing here?” Jonathan questioned, spraying ice into the board, as he came to a halt in front of the Zamboni door.

Kacia pushed open the door and stepped on the ice. She wore a long sleeved black shirt with the Yankees’ team logo on it and a pair of slimming, skinny jeans. She smirked cleverly. Her eyes glowed with a grayish tint. “I don’t do hockey, Jonny.”

“Then why are you here?” Jonathan was bewildered. He stepped backward, as Kacia stepped onto the ice, glaring at him. “Uh, Kacia?” Jonathan questioned, flummoxed by the sudden change in the sweet American girl.

Kacia looked past him, in the direction of the tunnel. “Was that your girlfriend, Ashia?” For some reason, he noticed her tone finally and she sounded hostile. She didn’t like Ashia or something. Maybe it was nothing and he was just hearing things.

Jonathan nodded. “Her name’s Ashia Bergeron and yes, she’s my girlfriend! I haven’t told her about you yet. I thought we were going to do the “meet and greet” after the game tonight.”

Suddenly Kacia snapped and her eyebrows knit together, angrily. She looked seriously pissed off. “So, you just go around ensnaring female students’ hearts with utter kindness, before stomping on them, cruelly, aye? You’re like the Boston Red Sox to my New Yawk Yankees! They never get to make the playoffs or win the World Series, because Boston’s always there to ruin it!”

“Uh, um…”

“You already have a girlfriend, but not for long! There’s one thing you need to know about me Mr. Jonathan Toews. I am one jealous bitch and you should never mess with me!”

Jonathan was beginning to question the sanity of Kacia May. He wondered exactly what she had done back in New York. He wondered about her previous boyfriends that she claimed to have had.

“Oh, Jon! The boys need you in the locker room for the pre-game meeting!” Ashia’s voice sang out from the tunnel.

Jonathan gulped and eyed Kacia, who looked exactly like one jealous bitch. She wasn’t the same, kind girl she had once been, when they had first met. This was the real, true Kacia May.

“Please, Kacia, don’t do this!” Jonathan begged. “I thought we were friends!”

“Too late.” Kacia and Jonathan saw Ashia emerge from the tunnel. Before he could make the first move, the wicked girl snatched him by the wrist and yanked him around to face her. She kicked his leg out in a kind of slewfoot move, making his face come down to her level. She smirked and snickered, before she planted a kiss on his lips and forced him to make out with her in front of the shocked Ashia.

Ashia, who had not heard a response from Jonathan, emerged from the tunnel. “Jonny!?” she gasped.

Jonathan shoved Kacia off of him. She crashed into the boards roughly, laughing. She wiped her mouth and scrambled back onto her feet. She watched the scene before her, wickedly entertained.

Jonathan looked at Ashia, who was absolutely stunned. He could only guess what was running through her head. Jonathan’s first girlfriend bolted back down the tunnel, sobbing. “Ash, wait! Ashia!” Jonathan called after her. He was horrified.

After a few tense moments he spun back around to Kacia, who looked different now. She was grinning largely and looked satisfied, like her plan had worked brilliantly.

Jonathan whipped back around, hoping that Ashia would come back so that they could talk. His eyes watered and he was just shocked at what had happened.

“Oops, I didn’t realize she had come out!” Kacia snorted, faking sympathy.

Jonathan spun around to her. He was furious. “Bullshit! Why the hell did you do that?”

“I always get what I want, Jonathan Toews!” Kacia hissed, walking around him, like she was a shark circling its prey.

“Why?” Jonathan asked, struggling to keep his gaze on her. He tensed up, unsure as to what she was planning on doing to him. He was ready to counteract, if she tried anything illegal.

Kacia paused in front of him, placing her hand on his chest. She voiced her satisfaction with a murmur, as she appeared to size him up. “They call me the Black Widow back in New Yawk. I had a boyfriend there, before he was killed. Actually, come to think of it, all of the men I’ve come to be associated with...die.”

Jonathan held his breath. He couldn’t move; he was petrified to his spot. It was almost like she had entrapped him in a literal web.

“What did you do?” Jonathan frowned at Kacia.

Kacia slid her hand across the upper body of Jonathan and she continued to round him. “I may not do hockey, but I can damn sure have you be mine!”

“How about, hell no?!” Jonathan snapped back, holding his ground. He was furious with her. He had loved Ashia. “Not after you hurt Ashia! Besides, you’re not my type.”

“I do know how to pick my men. You can carry on with your stupid hockey life, but don’t go near Ashia anymore. She doesn’t want to see you anymore, you dirty cheater!”

“Only because you purposefully made out in front of her!” Jonathan rubbed his arm.

Kacia walked out of the rink and closed the door behind her. “I’ll see you tomorrow and the next day after that, and hey, the next day after that as well!” Kacia sneered.

“We aren’t going to date, Kacia! I thought I could have had another friend, but I was wrong. You’re just a crazy chick from New York City.”

“I may not be able to force you to date me, but I won’t stop seeing you. I’ll be there in the stands, watching you play. I’ll follow you everywhere and I will haunt you!” She slowly backed away and disappeared out one of the doors, leaving Jonathan alone.

The kid found he was gripping his hockey stick tightly in his gloved fingers. He didn’t want to do anything but stand there, staring at the exit. His mind raced like a complex atom.

During all of the chaos, the rink had emptied completely. Jonathan was the only one there. He felt alone and heartbroken. He had simply been nice to Kacia May, but she turned out to be a crazy, psycho woman. And she had hurt Ashia, the girl he cared most about.

**END OF FLASHBACK**

****

That’s all women did to him, lie and cheat and be cruel. They took advantage of him and his perfectness and also his good looks. It was like he was Tyler Seguin...or some young hot heart-throb. He spiraled out of control from there. And it was only made worse when he kept catching Kacia May stalking him and spying on him.

It was creepy. But he ignored her and knew that if he made it to the NHL, there’d be girls like her only in larger numbers and probably worse. So he eventually made it out of Winnipeg and away from Kacia. He was selected - as everyone knows - by the Blackhawks in the 2006 draft.

From the moment he entered the NHL locker room and laid eyes on the blue-eyed, blondie from Buffalo, all the women he’d dated, all the feelings he’d felt for the female gender...all of it...was gone. He spent the next few years building a love-hate relationship with Patrick Kane and then in the latter part of 2013, Jonathan proposed that they be boyfriends.

And Patrick agreed.

And they’d remained together and inseparable since then. Jonathan never looked back and was serious about settling with Patrick for life. He loved the blond and Patrick meant the world to him...and he didn’t think - or couldn’t think - that anything would ever change that. Patrick Kane was his one true love, as he put it. His hero. His savior. His everything.

It was all about Patrick Kane.

Notes

Okay, so for those of you reading who want the non slash or no Kazer (even though that's messed up and you have no idea what you are missing), this marks the end of the healthy Kazer...over the next few, you will see how Tazer changes and I hope you'll enjoy it more. But this is difficult for me, because I love Kazer so much. And come on, they're frickin' adorable together.
Anyway, Kacia's one messed up bitch, huh?
