Arrow Hawk: Birth of the Hockey Avengers

Zvezda arrives in under 15 minutes, due to her fast flying supersonic flight, which she now possesses thanks to losing her ability to twinkle away (stellar teleportation). As she lands on the ground, she deactivates her look via her Dallas Star waist symbol. Instantly, her wings disappear and she looks like a mortal human wearing a Dallas Stars green dress. She is now Evelyn O'Reilly and not Zvezda.

Evelyn heads into the Pepsi Center and is shocked to run into John Tavares (or Portal) and Gabriel Landeskog (or Iceshot). They see her and look at her bizarrely. “Gabriel, John, the Hockey Avengers could use your help,” Evelyn calls out immediately.

“And what's going on?” both men ask her.

“A trio known as the Hat Trick of Trouble, including Jonathan Quick or Quick Save, Red Wing and Canuck are terrorizing Chicago. They've captured two archers, Nikita and Val and now Tyler! There's a robot army too and we are badly outnumbered. We need someone with glaciokinesis and teleportation. And I'm also thinking Vladdy too.”

Gabriel hangs his head and whines, “Chaos?! Not Vladdy! But he's still learning to control his powers...he literally wrecks havoc when he uses them.”

Evelyn nods. “And his powers are powerful. I promise he's ready enough. He won't take off anyone's heads or hurt anyone. I swear. We need all the help we can get.”

“So, if you're really desperate, let's find Vlad and join the party!” John exclaims.

Gabriel raises his arm up and flips his hand over. He produces some ice on the palm of his hand and smiles. “I'm in too. I could use some action. I mean what are powers for if you can’t use ‘em? Right?”

Evelyn nods. John taps into his superhero powers and becomes Portal, grabbing them both in a hug and then they vanish out of the Pepsi Center...


...And reappear a few seconds later in Tampa, Florida. They find themselves standing in front of Amalie Arena and walk in hurriedly. The three climb the steps and dart into the first tunnel.

On the ice, the Lightning are running a practice. Vladislav “Vlad” Namestnikov (or Chaos) is skating around with the other players. He is laughing and smiling and having a good time.

Evelyn races down the stairs and down to the boards. She bangs on them at once. “VLADDY!!”

Vladislav halts at once and spins around from where he is. He instantly frowns and skates over to her. He skids to a halt at the boards. “Zvezda. Or rather Evelyn.” Evelyn shakes her head, as John and Gabriel join her, folding their arms. “Tavs. And Gabe.”

“Vlad,” John and Gabriel grumble, sharing a look with one another.

“What could you possibly want?” Vlad asks with a dramatic roll of his eyes and a sigh.

“Stop being arrogant, Vladdy, you know that I'm a friend to everyone and I didn't mean to upset you, by not including you as a "Hockey Avenger." I could only have so many and I chose—” Evelyn scolds.

“Black Scorpion or Scorpion, Star Vision, Arrow Hawk, Captain Blackhawk and Showtime. Yeah, save it. I'm not mad about that. And I'm not mad at you...” He takes his hand out of his glove and looks at his fingers.

“Then why are you mad?” Evelyn inquired with a heavy sigh.

Vlad tosses his head back, shaking his blond locks out and then flicks his head at Gabriel. “Ask Iceshot.”

Evelyn turns to Gabriel, who narrows his eyes and then sighs.

The Colorado Avalanche captain shakes his head. “Come on man, what happens on the ice, stays on the ice. I didn't mean to run you through so hard. I was in the zone during the game and you know how that is.”

Vlad frowns. “You tripped me up with your stupid ice powers. Piss off. I'll help you out, Eve, but not Ice Freak there.” He glares at Gabriel, who wrinkles his nose up in disgust, returning the cold look.

“Oh, not this bucket of crap again!” Gabriel complains.

“That's good enough for me,” John states with a shrug. He “powers” up and teleports to the other side of the boards, grabbing Vlad, who is shocked. He teleports back to the other side. Vlad shoves himself free, but topples over on his skates. Evelyn catches him.

“Next time, warn me before you do something like that, Tavs, geez,” Vlad snaps.

Gabriel laughs and high-fives Portal. “Haha, I rather enjoyed it. Good work Tavy!”

Vlad takes a seat and removes his skates. “So, what's the plan?”

Evelyn looks at him, sternly. “As I told these two, a trio known as the Hat Trick of Trouble, including Quick Save (Jonathan Quick), Red Wing and Canuck are terrorizing Chicago. They've captured two archers, Nikita and Val and now Tyler! There's a robot army too and we are badly outnumbered. We need someone with glaciokinesis and teleportation and you too. We need all the help we can get. Are you in?”

Vlad gives her a kind smile. “I'm in. Nikita Zadorov's my friend and Val Nichushkin's a Russian too. I assume that’s who you mean. Russian hockey players have each other's backs.”

He taps his watch twice and his Tampa Bay hockey uniform morphs into his "Chaos" outfit: a black outfit with royal blue outlines and a silver spiral etched into the chest. He wears matching black and blue boots with it.

Then Chaos turns to the ice, to see the rest of his teammates looking at him, strangely. “Kuch!” One of the shocked players with the number “86” on his jersey skates forward. “Kuch, tell coach I gotta save the world, but I'll be back. Okay?”

“Uh, okay...” Nikita Kucherov stammers, shocked and unsure what to say. Apparently he doesn’t know about his teammate’s superpowers…or he’s just shocked by an Avalanche player, Islanders’ player and the Savior of the Dallas Stars being in Tampa, Florida.

Evelyn clasps her hands together and spins to Portal. “Great. Let's get back to Chicago then. John?”

Portal wraps his arms around Gabriel, Chaos and Evelyn and they instantly vanish from the Arena, reappearing a block from the battle scene.
