Arrow Hawk: Birth of the Hockey Avengers

...They reappear in the parking lot of the United Center.

“Thanks, Portal!” Zvezda says.

You can run...and you can teleport...but you cannot hide. And you know it! You may have won and gotten away this time, but this battle isn't over.

They all share looks with other another. Sure Zvezda, Captain Blackhawk, Showtime, and Arrow Hawk have defeated Strum, but this is Vanek...and Vanek is like a Strum 10.0. What are they going to do? How are they possibly going to take down Vanek now?

Scorpion turns and faces the heroine, who is lost in thought. “Ev, you said you defeated Red Wing, Canuck and Vanek before?”

“I did.”

“Then, you can do something?” Star Vision asks, hopefully.

“Not exactly. I took on Red Wing and Canuck before, yes, but it's not them I'm worried about. It's Vanek. This isn't the same Vanek and it isn't Strum either. This Vanek is much worse.”

Arrow Hawk lowers his bow. “Da. Eto Vanek gorazdo khuzhe...i strashno! Trudno pobedit'.”

Sabrebow nods in agreement. “Val yavlyayetsya pravil'nym. Na osnovanii togo, chto ya videl.”

Scorpion looks at his friend Star Vision. “What are they saying?”

Star Vision shrugs. “Don't know. I'm hungry again.”

“Really Chubbs?”

“What? I fought off the little nibble I had earlier.”

Scorpion frowns and shakes his head, trying desperately not to laugh.

Captain Blackhawk holds Showtime close to him. “So, what are we going to do?”

“We could wreck chaos?” Chaos suggests.

Iceshot instantly stomps his foot on the ground. Part of his arms and legs turn into ice from his tension. “NO! No more chaos.”

“What's the matter Iceboy, too frozen to fight? Ice got your fists?”

Iceshot storms over to Chaos and they have an intense staring contest. Iceshot produces ice on the palms of his hands, which slowly glisten crystal blue.

“Whoa! Whoa! Gabriel and Vladdy! Stop!” Zvezda shouts, darting forward to stand between them both. She holds her hands out and glares at Iceshot and then at Chaos. They stop in place.

Chaos smirks. “Yet again, a woman stops you from slicing me open!”

Iceshot glares at him. “Just be lucky I didn't ice that pretty little smirk off your face!”

Zvezda shakes her head. “John, do you mind?” She walks off, going to stand with Arrow Hawk, sighing.

Portal shakes his head and steps between Chaos and Iceshot now, wrapping his arms around both heroes. “Vlad, Gabe instead of channeling your anger toward each other, focus it on Vanek and the villains. Otherwise, I can teleport you both to a nice secluded room, where you both can be locked together.

Iceshot and Chaos look at Portal and gasp.

“Whoa man, easy.” Iceshot holds his hands out.

“Yeah, no need to go there Tavs.” Chaos shakes his head.

“What about Kelly and Brooke?” Showtime randomly suggests.

Zvezda spins to him. “Kelly and Brooke?”

“Yeah. Kelly Mackinnon and Brooke Johnson!” Arrow Hawk exclaims, excited. “Yay!!”

Scorpion and Star Vision share a look with one another, bewildered.

“Oh! My friends? You really think they can help us defeat Vanek?”

Captain Blackhawk nods. “Well, they did the first time.”

“I suppose that is true. I'll call 'em up and see.”

“It's been awhile since I've seen either of them. I wonder how Kelly's magic has been coming along...I meant to ask her, but forgot,” Captain Blackhawk remarks. “I mean, hopefully she’s got better control…and won’t turn anyone into a puppy.”

Zvezda walks away, eyeing Chaos and Iceshot along the way and giving them a nice hard "you'd better behave" stare. She reveals her communication watch, which used to activate her Black Hawk powers. She taps the button and calls Kelly.

“Hey there, this is Psychica AKA: Kelly Mackinnon!” Kelly’s voice sings out.

“Kelly, it's Evelyn,” Zvezda says.

“Hey Evelyn! Hawkley upgraded me, so now I have a cool codename like you and all the Hockey Avengers!”

“Cool. But listen, are you busy? Would Hawkley be opposed to you helping us out?”

“Nah. Don't think so.”

“I'm gonna send Portal to get you and Brooke then.”

“Okay. Portal's John Tavares, right?”

“Yeah. John's Portal.”

“I can get Brooke and we'll be ready.”

Zvezda hangs up, tapping the button on her watch. Then she walks back to the group.
