A Second Chance at Love

The day of the All Star Game was relaxing. The guys had practice and took the boys with them, which freed us girls up to go get mani/pedis. We had asked Danielle last night to be the godmother of our son. She agreed readily and was super excited.

Breakfast was a celebration of sorts for us girls. Jeff and Pam were expecting, Danny and I were back together and Megan had told Claude last night she was moving to NJ and going go to med school here. She didn't start at Rutgers until September, which gave her plenty of time to relax and hang out with him. I secretly knew he had already went out and bought her a ring. I just didn't know when he planned on proposing.

We got to the salon and I looked at Danielle. "So spill girlie, what is up with you and Andrej?"

Megan cracked up. "We all seen you getting cozy on New Years Eve." she commented to her.

Danielle threw up her hands and groaned. "Ok already, but no telling the guys, not yet anyway. We have been talking everyday. He wants me to come visit him late next week and he is gonna make time to see me when he is in Ottawa in three weeks. Contrary too everyone's belief, we have only kissed. He is really quiet, but so nice. So we shall see." She smiled and I couldn't help but be happy for her.

"Ok, who is next to spill?" I said as I looked around. Pam spoke up next. "So I am super nervous to be a mom. Plus I don't want it changing anything between me and Jeff. I mean I can see him when I'm eight months pregnant not wanting to hurt the baby by having sex." I gave her a hug.

"He will be fine Pam, I promise." She sighed

Megan cracked up. "Tell him to call Raina. Her and Danny have perfected it."

I decided to call out Megan next since she was the quietest. "So how is ginger in bed?" I asked. "We all want to know."

Pam shrieked and we all cracked up. Megan turned a bright shade of pink. "Well his really good, he has a great body, learning how to be more giving, things are great I guess." she said avoiding eye contact.

"So how bout Danny boy" Pam smirked at me and I smiled. Danielle covered her ears and stuck her tongue out at me.

"Hahaha, freaking awesome. Hello, do you see how much we do it? And he is much more about me than him. He is biter though."

Pam cracked up and Danielle yelled "Enough about my bro, gross."

Danielle stood up and addressed us. "So if you were single and couldn't have the person you are with now. Which hockey player would it be?" Everyone got real quiet. Pam spoke up first. "Ok so I would so turn Tazer out." I laughed at her.

"Jeez Pam, you would kill that innocent boy. I seen what you did to our playboy the first couple of times you guys were together," I went next. "Ok, so you so cannot laugh at me, I'd pick Tavares."

Danielle laughed at me anyway. "You would murder him Rainy."

Danielle offered up that she was in love with that sexy Swedish goalie from the Rangers and Megan barely mumbled out the word Crosby. It was a fun time.

We did lunch by ourselves next because the guys weren't back yet. They texted us halfway through lunch and decided to meet up with us. Sidney walked by our lunch table and decided to stop and say hi. Us girls cracked up. Sidney threw me a questioning look and our guys looked confused. We really did have an awesome afternoon and I felt more connected to the girls because of it.
