It's So Shiny
2 years later...
Not a day goes by without me regretting my decision for not going to the Olympics though I was glad that my fellow Canadian, Carly Harris, won gold in Sochi. But when I look at my little boy, Nick, e regret goes away. After I have birth, Jon and I decided to buy a house together to start a family. We both talked about marriage and decided we were happy how we are right now.
"Nick! It's time to go now!" I called. I heard the pitter patter oh his little feet running down the hall to me.
"Mommy! Mommy! Look what I found!" He yelled, pointing to a small box in his hands. His small hands opened the box to find a ring in it. "It's so shiny!"
I was lost for words. What was happening right now?
"I know we said we didn't want to be married right now but I love you Tessa. If you're not ready, I'll wait. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you. So Tessa Schultz, will you do the honour of being my wife?" Jon said as he got on one knee.
"Yes! Yes! I screamed, while jumping up and down. A smile formed on his lips and he got up to kiss me.
"Ewww!" We heard Nick say and run away.
The past two years turned out ok. I found the love of my life, started a family, and I'm a soon to be bride. Never in a million years did I think my life would turn out the way it did
