Daddy's Little Girl.

*Chapter 1:First Impresion*

Another day,another plane ride.

The flight from Manchester NH to Las Angles CA had become pretty easy after 5 years of going back and forth before every season. My dad was a big wig for the Manchester Monarchs,The AHL farm team of the defending Stanley Cup Champions LA Kings so life can get crazy. I was born a Boston Bruins fan but when my dad got offerd up a job for the Monarchs,they became a bigger part of my life. My older brother was best friends with half the Monarchs team by now,since he was a up and coming player in training. I was the teams 'little helper'. I was homeschooled by my mom half the year until Hockey season came around,then that was like my summer. I was in training to be my dad's assistant for next year when I turned 18,but I already worked as his assistant under the table.

"We are now making our descent,please make sure your seats are up straight and seat belts are on" Came over the speakers in the plane. "Finally" I whisperd under my breath,a bit louder than I meant too,since it seemed I wake my bestfriend and Monarchs right wing Brandon Kozun.

"Man, I can already feel the jet lag" he said rubbing his forehead. The plane was filled with grunts and groans from the over-sized hockey players being woken from their naps. "Your a heavey sleeper Kozy". I looked around trying to find who had spoken when I looked up to find center Linden Vey and left wing Andy Andreoff standing over me with a smirk on both of their faces. "What are you talking about?" I asked looking over at Brandon. There was marker all over his face and a fake mustace just above his lips. I giggled and handed him my mirror. "Aw common guys really!?" He said getting up and running to the bathroom to wash his face. "You guys are mean!" I said shuffing them both and standing up to strech. "You know we like to mess with him Jyli. It was just a joke" They said laughing at my weak punches on their arms. "Calm down,We wont do it again. We promise" They said with cheeky grins on their faces. "Sureeee you guys wont. Liars" I said pushing past them trying to reach my carry on bag above my seat.

"Need help shorty" I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around and looked up at the 6'4 D man Andrew Campbell standing behind me. "Yes please,i cant reach my bag" I said stepping out of the way. I had grown close to him after he got a concussion last season and I was his house nurse. "Here ya go kiddo" he said handing my pink Monarchs duffle bag to me "Thank you Soupy." I said smilling up at him. I was only 5'4 so I was pretty short to everyone other than Brandon who was only 5'8. The whole team had been trying to get Brandon and I to date for almost a year now,and we went on one once but we were better as bestfriends. I would never admit to anyone other than my bestie Jenny that I secretly had a huge crush on him.

I cut into the line of guys to get off the plane,when I got picked up and thrown over someones shoulders. "PUT ME DOWN!!" I screamed while trying to hold in my laughter. I finally felt the ground when I got carried off the plane. "Calm down kid,I was just helping you out" Said the now hysterical Andy. "Well...Thanks I guess" I said leaving one last punch in his stomic. Most of the guys treated me like a little sister,some were more caring than others. Right wing Justin Johnson was kinda the faughter of the team,everyone loved him but sadly this was his last season. He had a good run,39 is pretty old for a hockey player.

I held onto Brandon's hand tightly as we tried to run threw the crazy LAX airport to the limo waiting outside for us. Every year we came the fans have gotten louder and crazier. The first year we came there was no one who noticed us,but then when the Kings won the cup it turned crazy. We ran out of the airport to the Hummer limo waiting for us. Andreoff threw the door open and we all piled inside. The staff of the team had their own private jet and limo,but the guys loved me being around so I was aloud to go on everywhere with them. Most of the guys were single so if a crazy girl fan came up to them they used me to make them back off.

"Well that was nuts" Said goalie Martian Jones while closing the door,indicating he was the last one to get in the limo. "It gets crazier everytime we come out here!" said captian Marc-Andre Cliche.

It was the middle of August and like every year,it was training camp time. The draft was a few months back and the new rookies had just arrived in LA before us so it was our turn to come out and looked at them. The Monarchs trained with and without the Kings in LA until late September,just incase one of them gets called up. It was fun being around hockey players 24/7 but sometimes the pranks get a bit crazy.

"Wonder what the new kids are gonna be like." Justin spoke out trying to start small talk.

"I head the rookie Tanner Pearson is pretty good,and Tyler Toffoli" Cliche said scrolling threw his phone.

Small talk started and I looked at Brandon who was staring down at his black iPhone and watching videos,thats when I noticed our hands were still intertwined. I heard rumors from some of the guys that he had a crush on me but I just ignored them,I could never tell when they were joking or not.

I watched the video he was watching on his phone. It was video highlights of the new rookie Tanner Pearson the Kings had picked up at the draft. This was only Brandon's second season with the Monarchs and the rumors of Pearson taking over his spot had been getting to him latley. I had lived with Brandon in his flat for almost a month now and since I moved in he had opend up alot to me,and it made us become closer than ever.

I pulled out my iPhone and pulled up his contact in my phone. I hit "New Text" and started typing,making sure he wasnt watching.

"Brandon your doing it again" I typed and hit the green send button. I felt him move and a new message poped up.

"No i'm not,im just checking the kid out"

I sighed and typed back "Brandon i know you to well,stop. Dont let the rumors get to you. You are an amazing hockey player full of talent,you have nothing to worry about."

I waited for him to write back when i felt a soft,quick kiss on my cheek. I looked over at Brandon who was smiling and already texing me back.

"Thank you Jyli. Coach said I had nothing to worry about but everytime i check Twitter or the news thats all i see. I really love the guys and stuff and i know i have to step up and be better...This training camp is do or die for me" I heard him sigh and I put my hand on his knee.

"You have nothing to worry about. Just be yourself :) " I wrote back and exited the chat and shut off my phone.

"Were here!" Shouted back up goalie Peter Mannino. He was the funniest player on the team,more or less.

Everyone piled out of the car and grabbed their bags out of the back. I looked up at the beautiful Hilton hotel i would be living in for the next month. I felt a hand on my lower back and turned to see Brandon smiling but staring straight ahead.

Since the staff and team was so big we had to rent out a whole floor in the hotel,witch was pretty normal for the Monarchs. We got the pent houses for the mangers and coaches witch meant my dad would be up on the 25th floor,while i was stuck down on the 20th with the players. The guys never told me who I was rooming with because they liked to 'surprise' me.

I got off the elevators and searched for my room number. I walked down the hall for awhile until i finally saw room 500. I unlocked the door and slowly walked in. I saw a young boy laying on a bed scrolling threw his phone. I cleared my throat and he noticed me and jumped up to shake my hand. He was pretty tall but not to tall,he had brown eyes and a cute smile. He had dirty blonde curls and was farley cute. He walked up to me and stuck out his hand.

"Hi,I'm Tyler Toffoli."
