Daddy's Little Girl.

I stared up at the brown eyed boy and quickly snapped out of my thoughts and shock his hand.

"I'm Jylian,You must be the new rookie" I said smilling up at him. He seemed farley shy but pretty happy.

"Yeah,Well one of them. Um..No offense but I thought I would be meeting a player,not a girl" He said side smiling.

"Oh none taken,My dad is a big wig for the Monarchs so I'm kinda the teams little sister. I go everywhere with them. I have no idea why they told me to room with you. If you want I can ask the guys to switch me" I said hoping he would say no. He seemed sweet and I thought I should get to know him more before I let the guys get at him.

"No!!! I mean if you want to you can but I'm tottaly cool with you staying with me. I mean you don't have to if you don't want to,I understand if you want to stay with a guy you know more." He said smilling and rubbing the back of his neck.

I could tell he was really shy and trying to fit in,and I didnt feel like throwing him into the jungle of hockey players just yet.

"I'm fine with staying here! The players can sometimes be harsh to the rookies with pranks and all but I'm not like that" I said smiling and putting down my bags. I heard him sigh and saw him out of the corner of my eye sit on his bed and stare at me.

"So what position do you play?" I said sitting on the extra bed smiling at him.

He began to talk but then there was a knock on the door and it flung open. Brandon,Andy and Peter walked in with bags full of candy.

"We bring candy!" Said Andy jumping up and down like a little kid,but then stoped when they noticed Tyler.

"Who he?" Asked Peter with a mouth full of candy. I gave him a look and noticed Brandon staring at him,problem trying to size him up. Brandon never really liked guys around me other than my friends and the team,I think he was scared of me getting hurt.

The first year my dad started working for the Monarchs Brandon had a girlfriend named Ashley,and she HATED me. When I was leaving Brandons flat one night before i moved in with him Ashley and her friends jumped me and beat me up pretty bad,and Bradnon heard the screaming and ran down to help me. Ever since then he didnt let me out of his sight most of the time,and if I wasnt with him someone on the team had to be.

"I'm Tyler Toffoli,one of the new rookies" He said standing up and sticking out his hand to the guys. They all looked at each other for a moment then back at Tyler. Andy pulled him into a hug and I could tell Tyler was a little taken back.

"Welcome to the team man!!!!" He said patting him on the back. Tyler looked at me then back at them at a loss for words.

"Thank you. I'm exited to be here." He said side smiling. They started small talk for a miniute and Brandon snuck threw them over to me.

"Hey were heading out to dinner in a hour and were gonna meet up with some of the Kings. Wanna be my date? I mean ya know as a friend" He quickly said with his cheeks turning red.

"Sure! I can't wait to see Quicky and Captian No Teeth" I said giggling.

Jonathan Quick was drafted a 3 years before my dad got promoted to a big wig for the Monarchs,but Quick lived next door to us for a year so we already knew him pretty well. We were like childhood friends.

"Alright well get ready,I'll come get you when were gonna leave" Brandon said giving me a small kiss on the cheek before walking back over to the guys and asking Tyler if he would like to come to dinner too.

"Yeah if you dont mind I would love to come. I havent met any of the Kings yet and I'm pretty nervous." He said looking at the guys nervously.

"Oh dont worry dude they are awesome! We wont let them mess with you,you seem like a good kid" Mannino said waving a piece of red liquorice around while talking,making his point.

"Thanks,I'll meet you guys in the lobby in a little while" He said shaking their hands again.

I saw Brandon glaring at me and once I looked at him he mouthed to me "Are you sure your okay?". I nodded and smiled at him. He lifted up his phone and waved it at me signaling me to text him once he left.

Andy and Peter skipped out of the room while stuffing their faces with candy and soda.

"Well they seem nice" Tyler said whiling shutting the door and turning back to me.

"Yeah they all are nice once you get to know them,they might seem a bit harsh at first but they like messing with the rookies.

I said flashing him a reassuring smile. He smiled back and went into his suitcase and pulled out a black suit before walking into the bathroom.

I quickly pulled out my iPhone and checked my messages,seeing I already had 5 texts from Brandon waiting to be opend. I opend them up and they were all asking if I was okay or needed anything. I smiled slightly and quickly went to check twitter before texting back Brandon. I had become pretty twitter famous since everyone knew who I was. I got some hate sometimes but the guys usually saw it before I did and took care of it for me. I went to check Brandon's twitter to see what he had been up too.

"Finally in LA with the guys for training camp. And of course our little wing girl Jylian is with us #loveher" I smiled down at the screen and tweeted back to him.

"@kozy15: PARTYYYYYYY! I mean lets get to training camp shall we? ;)".

Right when I finished tweeting I looked up to see Tyler looking in the mirror. He had a black suit on that brough out his eyes and a big Rolex watch that sparkled. He looked at me in the mirror and caught me staring at him. He turned around and looked at me.

"Do I look okay? Did I over do it?" He said sounding worried about how he looked.

"No no you look great! And it's not overdone,it's perfect for where we are going." I said standing up and walking to my suitcase. I pulled out my favorite black dress that Brandon brought for me after the Kings won the cup so I would have something to wear for the partys. I pulled out my makeup and jewlery bag and headed into the bathroom to get ready. When I shut and locked the door I got a wiff of good smelling calone. 'Must be Tylers' I thought to myself before looking at the bottles lined up on half of the counter. He had a good taste in products,must of grown up a classy kid. I sliped into my dress and curled my hair before doing my makeup and putting on jewlery. I put on a ring that Jonathan gave to me after they won the cup,it was like the rings they got after they won but smaller and in girl form. I took one last look in the mirror before sparing some perfume on myself and walking out of the bathroom.

"Hey can- Woah" I heard a voice say. I turned to see Tyler standing holding a tie in his hand and staring at me with his mouth wide open.

"Yes?" I said acting like I didnt know what he was doing. I put my makeup bag back in my suitcase and walked over to Tyler who was still staring at me.

"C-can you help me with my tie? I'm horribal at it" He said shyly.

"Sure! Here i'll teach you" I said walking over to the mirror and pulling over a chair. He stood infrount of the mirror and I put the chair behind him and climbed on so I was taller than him. I looked in the mirror and tied his tie for him when i noticed him smilling and staring at me the whole time.

"There you go" I said climbing off the chair and pushing it back over to the desk. Tyler looked in the mirror fixing his tie and making sure he looked alright.

"Thank you Jylian,If I did it it would look a mess" He said smiling and sliding his black iPhone into his pocket.

"Ready to head down?" I said looking in my hand bag making sure I had everything. I alwas carried one hunderd dollars on me just in case,even tho I know the guys will try and pay for everything for me. They alwas spoiled me and I hated it,they treated me like a princess and sometimes they could go a bit overboard.

"Yeah,I think i'm ready" He said sliding a wallet into his pocket.

I opend the hotel door to find some of the guys playing football in the hall.

"GUYS WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I screamed steping right into the line of fire to make them stop. They all stoped right in motion and looked at me.

"I,well,uh,we,were,um" Was all they could get out of their mouths.

Brandon opend his hotel room door witch was right across from my room and walked out.

"Were you guys playing football again?" He asked looking around at everyone.

"Yeah...Were sorry" D man Andrew Bodnarchuck said tossing the football to me.

"No more crazy games guys,were here for training camp and to get ready for the season,not play hotel football and break each others necks" I said pointing a finger at all of the over sized men who all looked like little kids getting yelled at.

"Were sorry" They mumbled under their breath and all got on the elevators to go down.

A young boy that looked around my age walked up to us and did a handshake with Tyler before turning to me and Brandon.

"Hey,I'm Jordan Weal the new rookie Center. Nice to meet you" He said sticking out his hand to Brandon. He seemed out going and very bubbling,nothing like Tyler did when I first met him a hour ago.

"Welcome to the team bro" Brandon said shaking his hand. He turned to me and smiled.

"You must be Jylian. Andy has already told me alot about you,hes my room mate." He said smiling and sticking his hands in his pockets.

"Yeah I am,it's nice to meet you" I said smiling and hugging him. I could tell he was taken back but he quickly hugged back.

"She hugs everyone" Brandon said putting a hand on my lower back trying to pull me away. I let go and stood next to Brandon who was giving me a look.

Tyler,Jordan and Brandon started small talk as we walked to the elevators to head downstairs to meet the rest of the team who was now waiting in the lobby. Brandon kept his hand on my back the whole time but I would see Jordan glance at me and smile inbettwen sentences. He was pretty cute and had a nice smile,and seemed very outgoing.

"So how long have you been around the team Jylian?" Jordan asked smiling at me.

"Around 5 years now,I used to alwas go to the games and meet&greets but then my dad got offerd up a job so I'm pretty close to all the guys now,and some of the Kings too. I think you will like it here,we're pretty much a big family" I said resting my head on Brandon's shoulder. He smiled and kissed my forehead like he alwas has. Brandon and I grew up together,he lived a few houses down from us in the summer since he was from California in the first place. When he got drafted I lost touch with him,but then when he came to the Monarchs last year we picked up right where we left off it seemed. We kinda had a on off realationship for a year now,but it was fun confusing the guys on the team,they go crazy for a good gossip story.

The elevator doors finally open and the lobby was full of fans. A young girl came up to Brandon and hugged him.

"Hi Brandon! I'm your biggest fa-". She stopped mid sentence and looked me up and down with a nasty look on her face.

"Who are you" She said sarcastically staring at me.

"I-" Brandon stoped me before I could finish.

"Shes my girlfriend,Jylian." He said in a quick sentence before grabbing a sharpie out of his pocket and signing the girls picture of him she was holding. In one swift move he signed the picutre,took a quick selfie with her and pulled me away.

"Nice one" I whisperd to him before climbing into the limo.

"Thanks." He said smiling and helping me in. Most of the guys were already in the limo but some were stuck back in the crowd of fans in the lobby. I looked around and took a head count. 15 out of 20 of the guys were in the limo.

"I think I want to go back to Canada now" Tyler said fidgiting in his seat next to Brandon. I giggled and looked down at my iPhone.

"Dont worry bud 'ull get used to it" Justin said patting him on the back while climbing in the limo.

Andy and Linden sat down next to me and stared at me with smirks on their faces.

"What now guys?" I said looking up at both of them.

"We heard Kozy said you were his girlfriend,is that true?" Andy said smirking at me. Andy was like an older brother to me and he knew I had a crush on Brandon.

I sighed and made sure Brandon couldnt hear me. "No,it was just to get some crazy fan to come away. Like I said he doesnt have feelings for me" I said glancing over at Brandon who was talking to Tyler.

"Thats not what he told me" Linden whisperd moving closer into the hudle that Andy and Linden had formed around me.

"What do you mean?" I said feeling my heart beat faster.

"Wellll...Lets just say you might be single for much longer kiddo." Linden said winking at me and going back to the video game he was playing on his phone. I turned to Andy who was smirking down at me and gave me a pat on the back. I looked back over at Brandon who was staring at me and giving me one of his "whats going on" looks. I just smiled at him and scoted over next to him.

Tyler,Brandon and a boy ive never seen before were talking about being drafted and everything.

The new boy had dirty blonde hair that was spiked up and looked like Jordan,but not to much like him. He had blueish eyes and a nice smile.

He looked over and smiled at me. I moved over next to him and stuck out my hand.

"Hi,I'm Jylian" I said trying not to be to loud but trying to make sure he could hear me over everyone elses voices.

"Hey,I'm Tanner Pearson" He said sticking his hand out and shaking mine. I smiled at him and rememberd Brandon watching highlights on him,and he was a really good player.

"It's nice to meet you! Ive heard alot about you. You are really good!" I said smiling and trying to get to know him better. We ended up talking the whole ride to the resturant that the Kings had rented out for us.

Once we got to the resturant the parking lot was filled with over priced cars and a few limos. The whole team piled out of the car and Brandon helped me out.

"Nervous?" I heard someone whisper in my ear as we walked up to the doors.

"A bit" I said turning to the boy standing next to me. Brandon had his hand intertwined with mine as we walked into the resturant that was full of security.

Most of the guys already knew the security so they just walked right past them,but they had to check Brandon and I. I signed a paper and Brandon handed them a tip as we walked in. We followed the team to a private room in the back of the resturant. I took a deep breath as i walked into the room full of routy over grown men. They all stoped talking and turned to us.

"HEYYYYY" Filled the room as they all jumped up to greet us. Jordan Nolan,Slava Voynov,and Dwight King were the first ones to greet us since they werent gone from the Monarchs for too long. They got called up during the playoffs and ended up being a big part of the Kings winning the cup.

After I finished hugging them rookie D man and former Monarch Jake Muzzin jumped up and hugged me. He got called up during the playoffs to but he didnt play,but this year he was called up for good by the Kings.

"I missed you so much small fry!!!" Jake exclaimed while spinning me around.

"I missed you too giant!" Our moms had been best friends since they were kids so our familys were pretty close,and Jake was a big part of why my dad got the job.

Jake placed me down and walked over to greet the other guys and meet the new rookies. I looked around the room and spoted Jonathan in the corner talking to Justin.

I started walking over to them when I got bumped into by one of the guys.

"Oh my gosh i'm so sorry" I said while looking up to see who I bumped into. I met eyes with Kings defensmen Drew Doughty.

"Hey Jyli! It's no problem kiddo! How've ya been?" He said pulling me into a bear hug.

"Great" I mumbled into his chest as he squeezed me to death. When he finally let me go I tried to catch my breath.

"Its great to see you again! You staying for the whole training camp?" He said pulling me off to the side out of the way of the hungry men.

"Yup! I'm so exited!! This is the first year my dads let me stay for the full time!" I said almost jumping up and down. I loved being around the guys because they were so fun. They all treated me like family so i never felt out of place.

"Thats awesome! By the way,How are things with you and Kozy kid?" He said lowering his voice. I sighed and glaced around trying to find Brandon. I spotted him talking to Kings captian Dustin Brown and his wife Nicole.

"The same. I mean he flirts a bit more than he used to but nothing serious. Why?" I said looking up at Drew who had a smirk on his face.

"Well lets just see how you guys are at the end of training camp" He said patting my head and walking back to the table. I figured the guys must have been up to something to get Brandon and I to date. I pretty much guessed all of them were in on it.

I walked over to Jonathan who was chating with Marc-Andre and Andrew.

"Hey" I said walking up to them. Jonathan quickly turned his attention to me and smiled big.

"Hey kiddo! WOW you've gotten so big!" He said hugging me and kissing my cheek.

"I know,I feel like I havent seen you in forever!" I said hugging him. Jonathan gave some of the best hugs to the people he cared about. But if he was in a bad mood he gave the worst ones.

"How's mum and pops? I called your mom on mothers day and your dad on fauthers day but havent talked to them since." He said while checking his iPhone 5.

"Great! My dad is here to but hes off at meetings already. My mom was thinking about flying in toawrds the end of camp" I said smiling and looking around at everyone. Everyone seemed to be having a great time,everyone was laughing and smiling. It reminded me of when the Kings won the cup,it was like a big family reunion. We were a big,loving family.

"I cant wait to see them. Well ill catch up with you later,the wife keeps calling me." He said giving me a quick kiss on the cheek and walking away. I walked over to where Brandon was talking to Dustin,Tanner,Tyler and Jordan. I walked over and slid next to Brandon who right away felt my presence and put his arm around my back and hand on my waist. I looked at him and smiled and he looked back down at me and smiled. Nicole turned her attention to me.

"Hey Jylian,It's nice to see you again! How have you been sweetheart?" She said pulling me into a sweet hug. She was one of the sweetest woman ive ever met and she was a great Hockey wife. I had grown close to her when my ex boyfriend broke up with me last training camp.

"Its great to see you again too! Ive been great,How have you guys been?" I said smiling at her and Dustin who was smiling at me. He hugged me lightly and smiled.

"Hey captian no teeth" I said winking. I had been calling him that since he got his teeth knocked out when he was down in Manchester,and he didnt mind it when I called him it,but if anyone else did he would probley kill them.

"Hey sweetie,Glad you could make it" He said kissing my hand. The small talk started up again as everyone sat down to start eating. Tyler quickly steped next to me and pulled a chair out for me.

"Thank you Tyler" I said caught a bit of guard,and I could tell Brandon wasnt very happy. I sat down and Tyler pushed my chair in for me and grabbed a seat to my left while Brandon quickly sat down to my right. He put his hand on my knee and gave me a look before looking at Tyler who was talking to rookie Jordan Weal. As everyone started talking i felt my phone vibrate in my hand bag and I quickly pulled it out before anyone could notice.

"New Text From: Brandon Kozybear" My screen read. I quickly unlocked my phone and read his text.

25:31:00 "Dont let any of the rookies touch you,I dont trust them just yet."

25:34:29 "Calm down Brandon,they seem like good kids. Tylers really sweet. Dont worry about me so much"

I slid my phone under my leg and looked back up and everyone. I looked up to find Andy smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and heard him chuckle.

Once everyone orderd things started to calm down and everyone started to talk in groups about the season coming up. Dustin was sitting at one end of the table while Marc-Andre was at the other end. We alwas let the captians set at the heads of the table out of respect,then the assistants sat next to them.

"So im happy to announce that Muzzy will be staying up here as our new D man" Announced Dustin. Everyone claped and cheered for him as he turned red.

"And I would also like to welcome the new rookies for Manchester. Tyler Toffoli,Jordan Weal,and Tanner Pearson" Marc-Andre said smiling and nodding at them. Everyone started clapping and cheering again.

"Well,lets toast. To the great season coming up for the Monarchs and Kings. Good luck everyone" Dustin said rasing his glass. Everyone raised their glasses and clanked them together.

I looked around the room and took everything in,all the smiling fimilar faces,and the news faces. Everyone was happy and ready for the season to come. I smiled and looked over at Brandon who I caught already staring at me. He smiled at me and quickly looked away. I giggled and kissed his cheek quickly hoping no one would notice. Sadly,it didnt work.

"HEY KOZY" I heard someone shout. I looked around the table to see Drew staring at us with a big smile on his face.

"Yeah Doughty?" He said as I could feel his leg shaking. Brandon wasnt the loudest guy in the room,but he definetly wasnt the quitest.

"Oh nothing. Just wanted to see if you were awake" Drew said flashing me a smile and a wink. I stuck out my tounge at him and Linden and Andy broke out into fits of laughter. I shot them a look and they quickly stoped laughing and went back to their food and small talk. Once everyone was done eatting we started our goodbyes.

"Hey Jylian,Weals and I are gonna stop by the store to get some snacks,wanna come?" Tanner asked me. I looked over at Brandon who was looking at me and shaking his head. I shot him a look and looked back at Tanner who was still smiling at me.

"Sure! Let me just say goodbye to everyone" I said walking over to Brandon.

"Jylian I dont feel safe with you going with them! You barley know them" He said looking concerned.

"Brandon I promise i'll text you the whole time. I'll meet you back at the hotel."

He sighed and looked at me. "Fine...Oh by the way I talked to Tyler and he wants to room with Jordan so you are rooming with me" He said hugging me goodbye.

"Okay...Seeya there" I said giving him a kiss on the cheek and saying goodbye to the Kings for the night.

Jake walked up to me and hugged me tightly.

"Ima pick you up in the morning for breakfast ight? Sleep good kiddo" He said kissing my forehead and walking back over to his team mates. I walked back to Tanner and Jordan and smiled up at them.

"Ready!" I said happily. I was glad I was going to get to know them better now,I really wanted to make them feel comfortable.

We walked out of the resturant and there was a black car waiting for us. I looked up at Jordan whos hand I was holding and he smiled down at me reasuring everything would be fine. Tanner opend the door for me and I climbed into the all black Lincoln town car. Jordan sat to the left of me and Tanner to the right. Tanner told them the adress to the store and we were off.

"Thank you guys for bringing me" I said looking at both of them in one swift move.

"No prob Jylian,Thank you for making us feel so welcomed already." Jordan said putting his arm around me. I looked out the window and saw a truck coming right at us,and since we were stuck in traffic there was no where for us to go.

"THAT TRUCKS GONNA HIT US" Jordan screamed while grabbing me and making sure my seatbelt was on tight. I closed my eyes and felt both of them wrap their arms around me tight and then everything went black.
