Daddy's Little Girl.

I woke up,confused and scared. I slowly opend my eyes and tried to adjust to the darkness,but the pain was to much to bare. I closed my eyes and tried to figure out what was going on. Then it hit me. I rememberd the on coming truck,and Jordan and Tanner trying to make sure I was protected,and then everything was black. I opend my eyes again when I heard someone walk in the room. I saw Tanner standing there with a arm cast on. I saw pain and guilt in his eyes. He walked over to me and sat on the chair next to the bed. I looked over at him and we locked eyes.

"I am so sorry Jylian..." He said laying his head down on the bed.

"Its not your fault...It was the drive of that trucks." I said trying to move. I felt sharp pain everywhere and I screamed. Tanner's head shot up and grabed my hand.

"How bad am I?" I said looking at him with tears running down my cheeks.

He sighed and spoke softly.

"You have a broken arm...And they had to do surgrey on your neck. You broke one of your toes and you have to wear a neck brace for the next 3 weeks. I am so sorry." He said wipping his tears away quickly.

"Oh my god Jordan. How is he!? He was ontop of me when the crash happend" I said starting to panic. Tanner sighed and looked down.

"He has minor concussion. When the truck hit his head got smashed into the seat. But he should be alright by the time the season starts. I just was in to see him and all he remembers was protecting you. I called the guys by the way and they are on their way..Brandon was a bit mad" I sighed and mumbled under my breath "He told me not to go" And looked down. Tanner put his hand on mine and rubbed it softly. I looked up at him and he gave me a weak smile.

The door flung open and the whole team and some of the Kings came in behind them.

"We came as fast as we could" Jake said out of breath. Andy and Justin were the last ones to come in with flowers,candy,and tons of gifts. Brandon ran up to the bed and looked me up and down. I could see tears filling in his eyes as his eyes met mine. All the guys got the signal that Brandon wanted to be alone with me and left the room shutting the door behind them.

"I knew I shouldnt have let you go" He said sitting in the chair and hanging his head. I ran my fingers threw his hair and he looked up at me.

"It's not your fault. It's no ones fault other than that truck drivers. And dont give Tanner or Jordan a hard time,they both got hurt trying to save me. If it wasnt for them I wouldnt be alive"

"Dont say that!!!" He quickly snapped back at me. I could see sadness,guilty,and anger in his eyes. I was a bit taken back that he snapped at me,he only had done that maybe twice before. I looked down at my bloody hands and hospital gown. I teared up and looked at Brandon who had tears running down his face. We locked eyes and he kissed my forehead in the same place he alwas has.

"Stay with me tonight?" I asked softly breaking the silence.

"Course. Training camp doesnt start until next Monday anyways" He said smiling. There was a knock at the door and Andy walked in.

"You two love birds done yet?" He said bringing in a ballon. I giggled and Brandon slapped him on the arm. The rest of the team walked in behind him and all put gifts on the counter.

"Guys why did you buy me so much stuff?" I said looking around the room at the sad and worried faces.

"To cheer you up of course" Peter said handing me a card with a bunny on it. I opend the card and it was filled with doodles of bunnys and hockey things.

"Feel better soon,We love you more than you know." I smiled and looked up at all of them who looked proud they did a good job. They had all signed the card somewhere and I noticed one on the back that caught my eye.

"I dont know whos signature that is" I said handing it to Brandon. He looked up at the guys and smiled.

"It says 'I'm sorry,Love Jordan'" Brandon said handing me back the card. I smiled and put it on the night stand next to the bed. Brandon grabed a hold of my hand again and everyone gave me soft hugs and some gave me kisses.

"Can someone go see how Jordans doing? And tell him I said hi" I asked looking around the room. Liden and Tanner nodded and left the room,and right then my dad walked in. Everyone stood up and Brandon moved out of the way.

"Hi daddy" I said nervously. He walked over and hugged me.

"How are you feeling princess?" He said looking around at everyone.

"In alot of pain but okay." I said trying to fake a smile. My dad looked at Brandon and Monarchs top D man/goon Nick Deslauriers.

"I want you two and Andy to be in charge of her and go EVERYWHERE with her,understand?" They both nodded and my dad gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"I'll keep in touch bettwen meetings and everything. Feel better" He said shaking Brandon and Nicks hands before leaving the room. Everyone was silence until Linden spoke up.

"He still scares me" Everyone broke into fits of laughter and chuckles. Everyone had their time visting before the nurse came in and said visting hours were over. I got more hugs and kisses before they left,and only Brandon,Andy and I were left.

"So we should take shifts,at around 1ish I'll call Nick in and I'll go back to the hotel and then once he leaves Brandon can go back." Andy said writting out a chart on a piece of paper.

"No..I'ma stay here all night and day if I can." Brandon said looking over at me,noticing my eyes starting to close.

"Go to sleep,we'll be here the whole time" He said holding my hand tightly and Andy holding the other. I let myself relax and drift off to sleep.

*THE NEXT MORNING*

I woke up to the sound of beeping and talking. I didnt have the streaght to open my eyes yet so I let the voices calm me down.

"I love her bro...I really do. Shes my everything. I would be lost without Jylian" I heard Brandon say while my heart starting beating faster.

"Well you should make your move dude,look whats happend. If you dont soon you may lose her" I heard a voice say but I couldnt figure out who it was. I opend my eyes slowly and saw Nick and Brandon talking and drinking coffee. I felt my heart still beating fast and heard more beeping.

"I wonder if she heard you dude,her heart rate just picked up" Nick said chuckling. I heard Brandon sigh and chuckle a little. I finally worked up the streagth to open my eyes.

"Hi" I said acting like I didnt hear anything. Nick turned to me and waved,while flashing me a smile.

"Hey sleepy head,how ya feel?" Brandon said walking over to the bed and sitting down.

"Tierd,but no more pain" I said smiling at the both of them.

"Good. Well the rest of the team is down buying out the whole cafe like alwas so they should be back up soon. The doctor said we can take you back to the hotel today." Brandon said smiling wide.

"Awesome...Hows Jordan and Tanner?" I said remembering that they were in the hospital overnight too.

"Jordan is remembering alot and can get out today too,and Tanners fine,they just kept him over because he was to lazy to go back to the hotel" He said laughing. I smiled and looked around the room. It was filled with even more flowers and ballons.

"You guys have to stop buying me so much stuff! How will I fit this all in a hotel room?" I said picking up a flower and smelling it.

"We'll leave some in the lobby of the floor. Don't worry about anything Jyli,we got everything under control." Nick said leaning back on the counter and knocking over a vase.

"Sorry" He said giving me a weak smile. I giggled and watch him try to clean up the water and flowers. I turned to Brandon who was already smiling at me. I smiled back and grabbed him hand. He intertwined out fingers and it was like we got lost in the moment. I smiled and looked down at our hands. He rubbed my thumb softly and kissed my hand. I looked back up at him and smiled. His eyes sparkled from the sun coming threw the window,and his lips looked perfectly kissable. He looked at my lips then my eyes. I stared into his eyes while he looked at our hands. I heard someone clear their throat and looked up to see half the team standing in the doorway.

"Sorry to break whatever this us up but we brought food" Peter said placing a tray of food down on the counter.

"Aw thank you guys,im starving!" I said feeling my stomic rumble. Andy gave Nick a pat on the back and he nodded and left the room. Brandon and Andy started feeding me since it was hard to pick up my arms. The guys had brought me choclate chip pancakes,apple juice,and a half eatten muffin. I looked up at the guys and smiled.

"Ok who ate half the muffin?" I said laughing. Everyone turned and pointed to center Robbie Czarnik. He looked around the room at everyone staring at him.

"What? I got hungry on the way up" He said smiling. Everyone laughed and Brandon kept feeding me. I smiled up at him and he kissed my forehead softly. Once i finished eatting Andy took the tray and put it outside the door. Shortly after the doctor walked in.

"Hello Jylian,I have good news! Everything seems to be fine and your neck looks better than we thought it would so we get to take off the neck brace before you leave today. We should be able to get you out of here in about a hour." He said walking over and checking all the machines.

"Well were gonna start get you preped to go so I have to ask everyone to leave the room that's not family or dating Jylian" All the guys came up and hugged me. Andy grabbed all the gifts and said he would bring them back to the hotel for me. Everyone cleared out of the room and only Brandon and I were left.

"Are you her boyfriend?" The doctor asked turning to Brandon. Brandon looked at me and I quickly nodded before the doctor noticed.

"Yeah I am" He said turning back to the doctor smiling like an idiot. I giggled and Brandon winked at me.

"Alright well will you be taking care of her for the next week while she heals?" Brandon nodded and walked closer to the bed. The doctor started explaning stuff to Brandon and showing him how to rap up my arm and foot when I shower and everything. I looked at Brandon who was deep into what the doctor was saying to him. I got lost in my thoughts about how good Brandon was to me,and I rememberd what I heard him say to Nick this morning. I smiled but got snapped out of my thoughts when the doctor started talking to me.

"So i'm going to take your neck brace off now,okay?" I nodded and Brandon held my hand tightly. I heard the doctor start undoing it and I closed my eyes. There was a sudden sharp pain in my neck.

"OWWW" I said while squeezing Brandon's hand tighter. I started feeling dizzy and heard a beep.

"Whats going on!?" Brandon yelled. I felt moving and heard more people run into the room. I opend my eyes a little and looked at Brandon.

"Brandon...I dont feel so good" And then everything went black.

*BRANDONS POV WHILE JYLIAN IS PASSED OUT*

I looked around clue less of what to stay or do. I looked over at Jylian and heard her speak softly.

"Brandon...I dont feel so good" Was all she said before she passed out. I started to panic.

"Whats going on!? Why did she pass out!?" I screamed while nurses rushed in and I got pushed out of the room. I started banging on the door but they had locked it. I quickly pulled out my phone and called Andy. It rang a few times before he finally picked up.

"Brandon what is it!? I'm trying to sleep" He groaned into the phone.

"Dude Jylian was getting his neck brace off then idk deeps happend and she passed out and i got locked out of the room and HELP" I yelled into the phone still panicing.

"Oh my god. Alright i'ma grab Nick and we'll be there soon. Stay calm dude!" He said before hanging up. I sighed and slid down the wall. I waited for 10 mins before seeing Nick and Andy run down the hall to me. I stood up and they ran up to me.

"Dude what the heck happend!?" Nick said trying to catch his breath.

"I dont know! They still havent let me in! I'm really worried." Andy knocked on the door and a nurse opend it and pushed us out of the way. They rolled out a bed with Jylian laying in it,lifeless.

"Whats going on!?" I said grabbing the nurse as they rushed Jylian down the hallway.

"She is having heart failure. Who are you?" She said stopping us from stepping on the elevator with the nurses and Jylians lifeless body.

"I'm her boyfriend and they are her bestfriends and bodyguards. Please let us go with her" I said feeling paniced still. The nurse looked us all up and down.

"You guys are hockey players arent you?" She asked smiling. I sighed and heard Andy chuckle.

"Yeah were LA King prospects" I said smiling. She smiled and started walking to the elevators.

"Well just for that i'll let you come. Shes going into emergency surgery right now,but then she will be moved to the 8th floor so i'll have you guys wait for her there" She said hitting the elevator button to go up. I signed and Nick patted me on the shoulder. We went up a few floors and waited for the elevator to stop. Once it stoped we got off and she led us to a empty room.

"You guys can wait her until she comes. Will anyone else be joning you?" She asked while grabbing a few more chairs. The room was much bigger than the other one Jylian was in before.

"Yeah I think some of the guys will come up off and on. Maybe 5-10 at a time" I said sitting down in one of the chairs trying to get my heart rate to calm down.

"Okay,just make sure its not over 15 at once. If you need anything the nurses station is right down the hall,one of us will be in to fill you in threw out the surgery." She said smiling before leaving and shutting the door behind her. I turned to Nick and Andy who were both trying to catch their breath too.

"We should call her dad and Jenny,she has no idea at all what has been going on" Andy said pulling out his phone. Jenny was Jylian's best friend since 1st grade,and they did EVERYTHING together. Jenny had alwas told me Jylian was inlove with me but I was to shy to make a move yet. And truthfully,I was inlove with her too. I pulled out Jylian's iPhone and called Jenny.

"Hey Girly!" I heard a girl voice say on the other end of the line.

"Actually,this is Brandon" I said chuckling at her gasp.

"This cant be good. Jylian ALWAS has her phone. Is she okay?" I sighed and walked out of the room and paced around the halls.

"Well no...She got into a car crash with the rookies Tanner Pearson and Jordan Weal. She was fine until she had heart failure about 30 mins ago. Now shes in emrgency surgery" I heard her gasp.

"Oh my gosh!!! Well please keep me updated! I hope she and the other guys are okay. Good luck" She said sounding sadded.

"I will,Thanks Jenny." I said before hanging up the phone. I turned and looked down the hall to see Jonathan,Jordan (Nolan),Jake and Dwight running at me.

"Dude whats going on!? Nick just called us freaking out!!!" They said out of breath.

"Jylian had heart pailure and is in emergency surgery" They all looked at each other in shock.

"Man,I hope shes alright. I dont think she sees how much she means to the team. She keeps us from going crazy" Jonathan said while chuckling. Jake patted me on the back as we walked into the hospital room. We all sat down and waited for awhile before one of the nurses came in.

"Hello everyone,I have news. Jylian is out of surgery is and currently being woken up. It seemed that her oxegyn was low so her heart was on over drive and failed. But they seem to have her stable now and she should be able to go home in about a hour. One person is aloud back right now,so witch one of you would like to go back?" Everyone looked at me and nodded. I stood up and the nurse smiled and lead me back to the surgery rooms. I walked in slowly to Jylians room. I saw her laying proped up in bed drinking water. I signed and walked up to the bed. She caught eyes with me and smiled at me. I sighed happily knowing I would be able to protect her again.
