"Jamie are you sure this is legal, it doesn't seem legal?" a 10-year-old Olli Maatta asked.
"Trust me, it's fine," a 10-year-old Jamie Jokinen assured her best friend.
"Yeah, because sneaking into the JYP stadium is legal, what if we get caught?"
"We won't, when have I ever gotten you in trouble?" Jamie asked.
"Last week when you though 'Hey lets play hockey inside'," Olli answered her.
"Trust me, when it comes to sneaking around, I am the best. When you have 3 older brothers you tend to get good at hiding," Jamie laughed.
"Be quiet," Olli hissed, "You're going to get us caught."
"Ol, we are allowed to be outside the arena, follow me," Jamie said dragging Olli behind her.
"This better be worth it," Olli grumbled.
"Trust me, it will."
The duo circled around the Synergia-areena (JYP's arena name) to the back. From there, Jamie was able to pick the lock on the door and they were able to get inside without being seen. In reality this was a child's plan. Anyone could sneak into a professional team's arena; all it took was guts to actually do it. Jamie was different though, ask anyone who knows her and they will say she is a perfectionist. Even small plans that wouldn't hurt anyone, they have to be perfect. The fact it was a 10 year old who planned this whole thing makes it that much simpler.
"Where do we go now?" Olli whispered.
"To one of the very top rows, it should be harder to spot us," Jamie told him.
"Should?"
"How many times do I have to tell you to trust me? Hide!" Jamie yelped ducking behind a crate in the hallway with Olli right behind her.
"Jyri, you need to work on reading plays in this practice. If you want to continue to play, you really need to work on it," Petri Virolainen told his teammate.
"Yes I know Petri, I'm trying this play is just really different than what I am use to," Jyri Marttinen said as they headed down the hallway.
"That was Petri Virolainen and Jyri Marttinen," Olli said star struck.
"I know, lets get going," Jamie said. They headed towards the ice.
"This is so cool!" Jamie whispered. They made their way to the top seats of the arena.
"I know, look," Olli pointed as the players started to take the ice.
The Practice lasted about an hour and a half before the players went into the locker room. As soon as there was no more players or coaches on the ice, Jamie dragged Olli down to ice level.
"Come on, there should be a door to the ice here," Jamie said as she opened the door to the penalty box. From there, they were entered the ice. The sticks from the players were still on the bench and there were some pucks left over.
"Come on Olli, Lets take some shots on the goal," Jamie said walking over towards the blue line.
"Are you sure we can be here?" Olli asked.
"Of coarse I'm sure, we just have to leave before anyone comes out again," Jamie said.
"Now this sounds illegal."
"We are FINE, how many times do I have to tell you th-"
"WHAT ARE YOU KIDS DOING HERE!?"
"UH-"
"What's got you so smiley?" Sidney asked.
"Just thinking," Jamie hummed.
"Really, about what?"
"All the crazy things Olli let me drag him through,"
"Like what?" Kunitz asked hearing their conversation.
"Like sneaking into JYP's arena to see a practice, then we went on to the ice and- OK now I get why he keeps asking how I haven't been arrested yet," Jamie said, perking up a little.
"He asks you that often?"
"Him, my brothers, Soy Sauce, Tev, Ranty really anyone who is close to me," Jamie said.
"Oh, who's Soy Sauce, Tev, and Ranty?" Sid asked.
"Soy Sauce is Juuse Saros, Tev is Teuvo Teravainen and Ranty is Antti Raanta," Jamie explained.
"Why couldn't you just say their names?"
"I don't know, food's here."
"She is defiantly a character," Kunitz said.
"Yes, she sure is."
