It's a Girl's Game

9 minutes into the game they Flyers took an early lead and Jamie was little ticked because she thought there should have been a penalty. It got worse when two minutes after that, she took a high stick and nothing got called. To put salt on the cut, they ended up scoring to make it 2-0 Flyers.
“This is ridicules,” Jamie muttered along with a couple choice words.
“You can’t let them get under your skin Jay, that’s what they’re trying to do. They know your good,” Olli told her.
“Hold that thought, stay on the bench Bennett,” Jamie said.
The two defensemen were not ready to change since they just got on, but Kunitz was coming to the bench for Bennett to get on. Instead of Bennett jumping on, Jamie did and yelled for Malkin to pass the puck. If it got through she had a clear shot for a breakaway, or this could turn into a turn over.
Jamie got the puck and was 3 strides ahead of the defenders, the perfect breakaway chance. She took the puck at center and was clear from there. To be honest, the Flyers goalie was not great, and she easily got the puck behind him for a goal.
As Jamie skated passed Giroux, she ‘accidentally’ ran into him and asked, “Not bad for a girl, eh?”
“You got lucky, your team is still losing.”
“Sure, sure, not for long. There’s still 40 minutes left, Claudia, a lot can happen,” she said then made her way to the penguin’s bench.
“You are an idiot,” Olli told he, but he was smiling.
“I don’t have a filter. Lets go beat some Cryers.”

The game was tied 2-2, both Penguins goals coming from Jamie. It was halfway through the second period when Sutter took a bad penalty. Johnston moved Jamie up to play like a forward, figuring it would make thing easier.
They were half way through killing the penalty and Jamie was staying close to Voracek. She intercepted a pass from Giroux that was ticketed for Voracek’s stick and took off with it. There is a reason she lead the Liiga in short-handed goals. Not only did the Penguins take the lead, Jamie ended up getting that hat trick she wanted so badly. Thing were just getting interesting.
In the third period, the Flyers were showing why they are one of the dirtiest teams in the league. It seemed the Flyers were trying to knock all the star players out of the game. There were fights breaking out and penalties being served by both teams. Philadelphia was out on a mission; take Jokinen, Maatta, Crosby, Letang, Martin, Scuderi and Malkin out of the game. Everything seemed to be directed at those seven.
Giroux crossed the line when he went head hunting on Crosby. She lives by ‘phrase’: Mess with her, your game is hell, mess with one of her teammates, she’ll take you there.
“Lets go!” She shouted at Giroux.
“I’m not going to hit a girl,” he told her.
“Really? Well, I’m fine with hitting one Claudia. You don’t hit my captain like that!” she yelled at him throwing off her gloves. Giroux did the same.
To save you the boredom of Giroux getting butt kick by Jamie lets just say it was a one sided fight. Jamie was hoping she got her message through, not only to the Flyers, but the rest of the NHL. She was not going to sit back and what her teammates get hurt.
The fight shifted the momentum in the Penguins favor and changed the pace of the game. While the Penguins lost their defender for five minutes it really inspired the Penguins to go out their and fight their way to 00.00. That is just what they did. The Penguins were able to net another to make it 4-2.
