Chapter 9
I wasn't surprised that Abby came into my room at my parents house. She slept in my arms when she couldn't sleep, saying something about how it helps her fall asleep. I was starting to get used to having her next to me when I woke up, which made road trips harder. She gave me one of her BU sweaters that she wore all the time to hug while sleeping on the road.
She started to squirm, so I knew that she would be waking up soon. "Morning, gorgeous" I told her, and I thought I saw her smile but I figured my eyes were playing tricks on me. I laid in bed for a little bit and I heard a thud and laughter. Abby fell again. She always has bruises and at one point, people thought that she was in a physical abusive relationship. I wouldn't let her do that though, since no one even thinks of laying their hand on my girl. But she doesn't know that. For the first time in a while, we both are single at the same time. I hope she feels the same way about me, but I don't have the guts to ask her yet. After I waited for the laughter to be done, I went downstairs. "Why are you wearing Jamie's old clothes?" Mr. McDonagh asked Abby. "Because I haven't unpacked yet" "Hello" I said when I walked into the room. "Hey" the parents said at once. "Mr. McDonagh, can I talk to you in the other room?" I asked "Sure, just let me get a fresh cup of coffee" he said. "What did you want to talk to me about?" he asked me "Well, sir, since Abby moved in with Tyler and I, I am a lot happier and I noticed that she smiles more. And I haven't seen her this happy in years. I know that she doesn't have to do anything around the house, but she said she wants to and I think it keeps her from going stir crazy." "Okay" he said, taking in everything I just said ''I only saw her this happy back when her and whats-his-face started dating. I'm glad that you guys have your little living arrangement." he told me.
