“Why are you all just standing here we have to do something!” said Anna Maria urgently. everyone just stood there, stunned and confused.

“What’s going on?” asked Darcy. She moved closer up against Mike.

“You don't get it, there is no Anna Maria.” She said. “Its Anna and Maria. I’m Anna, but I have a twin sister. She’s insane. She’s been trying to take over my life for years. She comes in as me for work sometimes, look.” She held out her wrists. They had red marks across the middle, from being tied up. She also looked very very skinny. “I woke up this morning and she was gone so I ran away. She’s been pretending to be for the last few months.” No one said anything. There was a noise coming from the above. Like someone was in the ceiling.

“The airduct.” Said Alex. Everyone froze as the bumping noise drew closer.

“Its Maria. She’s here.” Said Anna.

The grate to the air vent shuttered then was removed from the inside. Out came Maria. She jumped down and landed in the middle of the room.

She didn’t look like she normally did, except for that white hair ribbon she always had on. It was tied onto what used to be a ponytail, but her hair had almost completely fallen out of it. Other than that she was wearing a black long sleeve party dress, but it was covered in dirt. Her eyes were wide open and she looked like she hadn’t eaten or slept in weeks.

“Hello Annie.” She said menacingly. “I see you decided to come into work today. I thought you said you were going to be staying home today.” SHe stared right at her. “You know I don’t like to be lied to.” She started looking at each person in the room one by one. “Alex. Mike. Tom. Brooks. Darcy. Its so good to see you all. Where is my journal?”

“Don’t tell her!” Said Anna. “You don’t have to shout, sister, we’re all right here.” Said Maria. She paused and looked around. “Oh there it is.” She walked over to where the journal was, but Anna jumped in front of her. Maria slapped her across the face so hard that Anna fell down. No one else moved. Anna picked up the journal. She turned to the end of the book. and read.

“Adsum. Venite ad me. Sine te iam non sum plena. Reple me, quia quidquid dixeris. Vivo ego servire. Invenient me. Sustinuero.” She closed her eyes and smiled. There was a gust of wind and her eyes shot open wide and she stood up straighter. Her pupils had gone from an innocent blue, to a dark unhuman black. “Nemo enim ipsam hic in ortum. Omnes moriemur te nocte hac.” She said in a deep voice. She looked right at Anna who was on the ground looking up at her.

“You first.” Said Maria.
