Hurricane Of Love - Part 1

Melissa Neal still lives in Canada and is talking with her cousin about moving to Nashville and moving in with him until she finds her own place. It’s also the first part of August.

Missy - So are you ok with me moving to Nashville?
James - Of course and you can stay with me until you find your own place.
Missy - Wow, that’s great.
James - So when are you heading south?
Missy - Sometime next weekend. I still need to finish packing.
James - Ok, I’ll get the spare bedroom ready for you.
Missy - You’re so great.
James - I know I am.
Missy - Are you still with that girl I met at Christmas last year?
James - No, we broke up a few months ago.
Missy - Aww, I’m sorry it didn’t work out.
James - She didn’t want to move to Nashville after I was traded.
Missy - So sorry that some women are like that. I always thought you and Candace should date.
James - Is she still interested in me?
Missy - Very much so. Did you want me to bring her with me?
James - Would you? I want to apologize to her for always turning her down.
Missy - Aww, sounds like to me that you want to ask her out.
James - Well maybe. I always was scared to date her cuz she’s you’re best friend.
Missy - Aww, James, you don’t have to be scared. I see you two working out. I know you both want to be together.
James - I guess you’re right.
Missy - I know I’m right.
James - I have to know if my favorite cousin has a special guy.
Missy - Sadly no
James - Well I’ll have to fix that when you get here.
Missy - Ok, what are you up to?
James - Me? Uh nothing.
Missy - (Laughs) I don’t believe you. You’re going to fix me up with one of your teammates aren’t you?
James - Not a teammate but a friend of mine.
Missy - I should finish packing.
James - Ok, I’ll see you next weekend.
Missy - Talk to you later.
James - Bye for now.

They hang up. Missy goes into the kitchen to make herself something to eat. Her dog Red gets up from his dog bed and goes into the kitchen. He sits on the floor watching Missy make her dinner.

Missy - I’ll get you your dinner in just a second.

Missy heats up some leftovers for dinner and then gets Red his dinner. Her cell phone then rings. She answers her phone when she sees that it’s her best friend Candace.

Candace - Hey, how goes the packing?
Missy - Slowly but surely it’s getting done.
Candace - Did you need some help?
Missy - That would be great.
Candace - Alright I’ll be right over.
Missy - Ok, see you soon.

The girls hang up. Missy then eats her dinner. She then heads into the living and packs up some of her books that are in her book case. Just then the doorbell rings. Missy answers the door and lets Candace in.

Candace - Wow, this place is starting to look empty.
Missy - Slowly but surely it’s getting done.
Candace - Well I’ll help you so it goes faster.
Missy - Thanks
Candace - No problem

They go into the living room and continue packing it up.

Missy - Why don’t you come with me to Nashville.
Candace - Really? You want me to come with you?
Missy - (Laughs) More like my dear cousin wants me to bring you.
Candace - What? James wants to see me?
Missy - Yeah he does.
Candace - Wow, is he going to ask me out or something?
Missy - He wants to say he’s sorry for always turning you down.
Candace - Wow, sounds like he’s interested in me.
Missy - Aww, he was always interested in you but was scared to date you.
Candace - I had no idea he wanted to date me.
Missy - He was always scared to ask you out since you’re my best friend.
Candace - Aww, he didn’t have to be scared. I would have said yes.
Missy - (Sighs) I think he knows that now.
Candace - Hey, you ok?
Missy - Just wish a guy would want me to date me like the way James wants you.
Candace - Aww, hon, some sweet guy will want to date you someday. James has to have a cute single teammate or friend who would be interested in you.
Missy - He did say he has a friend he was going to introduce me to.
Candace - Aww, see there you go. Do you have any idea who he’s going to fix you up with?
Missy - No idea
Candace - Wow, it’s getting late. I gotta work in the morning.
Missy - Ok thanks for your help.
Candace - It’s no problem.

Candace leaves and heads home. Missy walks Red and then goes into her bedroom. She gets ready for bed. She gets into bed and is asleep as soon as her head hits her pillow. Red jumps on the bed and lays down beside her. They’re asleep until the next morning. A week passes. It’s now the next weekend. Missy, Candace, and Red make the trip to Nashville.
