Talking Bodies

I called Tyler on pure instinct, not even knowing why. But it felt good, I needed some distraction from my thoughts that were bothering me.

‘’Hi Tyler..’’ Even if I called him and not the other way around I waited for him to say something.
‘’So.. Is it something you want?’’ He said and I could swear that he smirked right now.
‘’You know why I’m calling Tyler.’’ I said and rolled my eyes, even if he couldn’t see it.
‘’Uh.. You want me that bad huh? You have never called me before so you must really want me.’’ He said and chuckled. He’s really messing with me right now just because I called him first this time.
‘’Stop acting smart, can I come over or what?’’
‘’I have to check my schedule first hold on..’’ I know he was joking and I can’t understand that he really thinks that he’s being funny right now.
‘’Yeah you do that while I call someone else.’’ I said losing my patience with this guy.
‘’I’m kidding, come over babe. But I have to warn you, I’m super tired so it has to be a quick one.’’ He said and I laughed a bit, he’s so annoying and it’s not even that late, old people are the only ones tired at time.
‘’See you soon.’’ I hung up and got up from bed.

I took a quick look in the mirror to make sure I didn’t look to bad, then I grabbed my car keys and left my apartment.

Me and Tyler sat in his overly comfortable couch while kissing each other. Honestly, I was doing most of the kissing he was basically just sitting there like a zombie. I tried to get his shirt off him and he didn’t even move an inch to help me. I decided to give up and got down from his lap and took a seat next to him instead.

‘’Well, you’re no fun.’’ I mumbled, doubt he even heard it.

‘’Why did you stop?’’ He raised his eyebrow looking confused and put his arm around me, pulling me closer to his chest.

‘’You’re a lost cause, you just sat there almost falling asleep.’’ I argued and felt a little irritated at the moment.

‘’I warned you before you came over, I’m super tired today.’’ He turned the TV on with the remote and played with my hair, I love when people play with my hair.
‘’How can you not be in the mood for sex?’’ I said with a grumpy voice causing him to laugh at my comment.

We sat in silence before I found the energy to get up from his warm embrace. I stood up and put my phone in my back pocket.

‘’I should get back to my place, since we're not going to have sex.’’

‘’I feel a little bad that I said that you could come over even if I’m super tired. Grab a glass of wine or something in my kitchen and watch the game with me. Maybe that will get your mind off, whatever you’re thinking about.’’

‘’How did you know that I came here cause I wanted to get my mind off something.’’ I studied him when he watched the football game.

‘’I can tell, you wouldn’t call me if you didn’t. You need a distraction, what do you think I usually call you for?’’ He said and I just nodded, that made sense.

I decided to stay a little longer and poured myself a glass of red wine, Tyler didn’t want any which surprised me. If I have learned something about my hookups with Tyler, it’s that he loves red wine.
We sat in silence, the only sound came from the football game. I scrolled through my phone while Tyler watched the game intensively. I grew up here in Texas so I’m a football fan too but I don’t like any of the teams that are playing right now so Instagram was more tempting. Tyler glanced over to see what I was doing, for the first time since the game started.

‘’We should take a selfie and post on your Instagram, you need some hot dudes on your feed.’’ He smirked and laid his head on my shoulder so he could look closer.

‘’If I need hot guys on my feed, you’re not the person I should have on there.’’ I said and chuckled at my smart comeback, and in my head I gave myself a pad on the shoulder.

‘’You’re such a bully, coming over here stealing my wine and calling me ugly.’’ He laughed so I know he’s not being serious.
‘’I don’t steal, you offered after you bailed on sex. No one says no to this.’’ I said and pointed at me so I could make it even more obvious.

‘’Yeah right…’’ He said and rolled his eyes, turning his attention back on the game.

The game was over and I needed to get back home, I didn’t feel like staying here overnight on purpose.

‘’Peace out Ty.’’ I said and stood up, which I instantly regretted because as soon as I stood up the alcohol kicked in. Tyler saw that I stumbled and looked over at the table, realizing that within an hour I had manage to drink one bottle of red wine all by myself.

‘’Yeah, you’re not driving home.’’ He said dragging me down on the couch again.

‘’I need to get home, I have an early dance class tomorrow.’’ I argued like a little girl at the moment, yep I was for sure drunk.

‘’Dance huh, so that’s where those hips come from.’’ Tyler smirked but didn’t move his arm around me, making it impossible for me to get up.

‘’Dude I need to gooo..’’ I tried to fight him off but I gave up just as fast realizing that he was too strong.

‘’As I see it you have two choices either I drive you or, you sleep on this couch.’’

‘’Or… I drive home by myself.’’ I said causing him to roll his eyes. This is probably the hundredth time he rolled his eyes at me since we met, he does that a lot.

‘’You should have thought about that before you chose to drink the whole thing.’’ He said with a stern look and pointed at the empty bottle. I just laughed because he looks funny when he’s serious.

‘’I was bored.. Yeah that’s my only excuse.’’ I chuckled and he couldn’t help but laugh at me a little.

‘’Come on, you can sleep on the couch upstairs.’’ He said and tried to help me up.

‘’Drive me home instead, it’s better to wake up in my own bed.’’ I whined and he helped me to the hallway and grabbed his keys.

‘’I should be in bed right now, you’re lucky I’m even driving you.’’ He sighed and grabbed the wheel when he started the car. It took us forever to even get out of his driveway because I had to type in my address in his GPS and well, it’s not the best thing to do when you’re a little tipsy.

‘’It’s an honor to drive me.’’

‘’No it’s a burden that I would love to skip.’’ He gasped and I could tell that he was really tired, his eyes gave it away.

‘’You have to pick me up tomorrow and drive me to work as well, because my car is sleeping at your place.’’ I mumbled not really caring if he listened or not.

‘’No, you can walk. It’s good exercise and I have work so I can’t, you have to figure that out on your own princess.’’ He said and pulled up in front of my building and turned off the car.

‘’You’re annoying..’’ I slurred and opened the car door and Tyler did the same.

‘’You can’t come inside..’’ Tyler walked over to me and took my keys from my hand.

‘’I’m just helping you to bed, making sure you don’t fall down the stairs or something on your way up.’’ He took his arm around me and walked me over to the entrance.

‘’Hey! I’m not that drunk you know. Secondly I always take the elevator.’’ I followed his every move with my eyes but he never laid his eyes on me, somehow that annoyed me more than I thought it would.

‘’Which floor do you live on?’’ He asked and looked at the buttons inside the elevator.

‘’Second floor.’’ I pushed the button and the doors shut in front of our eyes.

‘’You take the elevator when you live on the second floor? That’s lazy.’’ He smirked and I got even more annoyed. I usually have a tendency to get very annoyed easily when I drink.
‘’Are you calling me fat? It’s really stupid to call a girl that word, I’m not a person you want to get into a fight with.’’ I said with a serious tone when we walked out of the elevator, to my door.

‘’I’m not applying that you’re stunning and perfect, just a little cranky and lazy.’’ He said still with a smirk but he had his arm above his hands like he was getting arrested, so silly.

I opened the door and stepped inside, Tyler did the same and we stood in silence while I tried to get my shoes off.

‘’I can take off my clothes and get in bed on my own you know, you should get back and get some sleep. I’m sobering up.’’ I explained and looked up on him.

‘’You sure? I can definitely help you get undressed.’’ He smirked and I rolled my eyes.

‘’Well you had your chance earlier, now it’s too late babe.’’ I said and smirked back at him.

‘’Fine, good night.’’ He hugged me and pecked me on the forehead. I smiled and hugged him back before we let go and he walked out of my apartment.

I walked into my bedroom and got undressed. I should probably shower before getting in bed, but quickly decided to do that in the morning instead. I have to remember to tell Karen to pick me up before work tomorrow so I can get my car back at Tyler’s house. Note to myself, don’t drink a whole bottle so you can’t drive yourself home it will just create problems. Now instead of driving directly to work I have to leave earlier so I can pick up my car first.
