It's been two weeks since Jamie asked me to have dinner with him and 4 days since he last called me. His calls weren't as frequent anymore, only having slept with him two times since then, but that only left more time for Tyler, who has been calling a lot more frequently.
Which is how I found myself in Tyler's bed this morning. I moaned just thinking about the way his hands roamed my body and the way his beard rubbed against my soft skin when he kissed me.
Now though was not the time to be thinking about that. I shook my head trying to clear thoughts as I leaned over the sink in my bathroom. I once again stayed longer at Tyler's then I would have liked but with him I didn't mind, but now I only had ten minutes before I had to be at the studio for my first class.
So with a deep breath and a stretch of my stiff neck I got ready as quickly as I could.

"So it was nice of you to show up today?" Karen spoke as we stretched, referring to my tardiness.
"I thought you would appreciate that."
With a shake of her head Karen went back to stretching.
We just finished up are classes and were preparing to go over a new routine Karen thought of.
"So are you and Tyler like a thing now?" She questioned, and I knew she had been dying to ask that question since the moment I told her why I was five minutes late this morning.
"If by thing you mean friends with benefits then yes."
I could hear Karen exhale as she lifted her right leg onto the bar. "So are you still seeing Jamie too?"
"Of course." I confirmed as I copied her stretch. "Why do you care anyway?"
"I don't," she shrugged, "I just haven't heard you talk about him in a while."
"Well I haven't seen him as much lately."
"What he's not good enough for you now that you have Tyler?"
"No, it's just a couple of weeks ago Jamie tried to ask me out and we've only hooked up like twice since then."
Karen nodded as she switched legs, "have you ever considered giving him a chance?"
"Uh, no." I shook my head with a roll of my eyes as I switched legs as well.
"Why not?"
"You know why Karen."
"I do," she sighed, "but haven't you ever wondered what it would be like to be in an actual relationship. Have someone who cares for you for more then just sex."
"Not really," I shrugged as I dropped my leg.
"Seriously, you mean to tell me that you have been seeing him for what, a year now and you still feel nothing."
"Nothing but the pleasure that I feel when he's inside me," I gave her a wink as i dropped to the floor, my legs spread out beneath me.
"Ugh," Karen shuttered and I knew that was the end of that conversation.

I lay on my couch, pint of Ben and Jerry’s resting on my stomach as I studied the tan colored ceiling above me and I thought about what Karen said earlier, "but haven't you ever wondered what it would be like to be in an actual relationship. Have someone who cares for you for more than just sex."
I would be lying if I said I never thought about it, but it wasn't a question that kept me up at night. I mean I liked what I did, and I was pretty good at it, so why ruin a good thing.
I took a deep breath as I tried not to think about it, but that was easier said then done. Right now, I need a distraction and I knew I could go to Karen's, but I really didn't feel like talking right now. So I did something that I've never done before. I reached out and grabbed my phone off the coffee table and dialed Tyler's number. This went against one of my top rules, never call them, let them call you, otherwise you just sound desperate, but right now that is exactly what I was.
"Hey Mary..."
