With the "Enemy"

Her Own Person

Steve Mason skipped into the visitor's locker room at TD Gardens, must to the confusion of his teammates.
"What's got you so happy?"Steve was asked by someone he didn't really see.
"Why is that important?"
"Am I not allowed to ask a simple question?" Ray Emery asked.
"Well, I just don't really want to tell anyone," Steve mumbled.
"It's a girl isn't it?" Claude asked.
"Why? Why do you think it's a girl?" Steve asked.
"What else could possibly have you so happy?" Claude asked.
"Maybe I just got some good news," Steve snapped.
"Dude, I told you I was fine with you dating my sister," Claude said, "No reason to get all snappy."
"You're dating Jackie!" half the locker room yelled.
"Yes, what's the big deal?"
"She's Claude's sister!"
"So!" Steve yelled, "Jackie also happens to be her own person!"
"You know what, just leave me alone, we got some bruins to go beat."
The game was an up and down battle, neither goalie having a great game. One goalie getting pulled, another getting extremely mad, and a lot of goals being scored. There were also a lot of fights and chirping going one between the two teams. Someone would have thought the Flyers were playing the Penguins, not the Bruins.
The game started with a bang, Giroux scored in the first minute. Voracek scored five minutes later and Sean Couturier followed, but the Bruins stormed right back.
The second period started with Chara scoring on a powerplay, then things got ugly for the Flyers. Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand scored with 20 seconds in between to tie the game up. A penalty by Torey Krug and the Flyers were back on top with a powerplay goal
After a fourth goal that tied the game the Flyers coach pulled Ray Emery and Steve Mason came in. With a combined 8 goals scored and 55 penalty minutes the game finally started to calm down.
The game ended up going into overtime. After five minutes of 4 on 4 the game was still tied and this was one headed to a shootout. It started with the first three for each team missing, then the Bruins called on Torey Krug after Wayne Simmonds missed. Torey Krug ended up being the hero and scored.
This made the Steve and the entire Flyers team mad. This also put Jackie in a situation she didn't know how to deal with. The team she works for won, but her brother and boyfriend did not. It was going to take a while to get use to calling Steve Mason her boyfriend.
After about 20 minutes Jackie headed down to the visitor's locker room to try to console her brother, "Sup boys, I know Pittsburgh and Boston wear the same colors but that doesn't mean you need to act like Boston is Pittsburgh. Save this type of game for the real rivals."
"Jackie, I appreciate what you're trying to do, but I blew it," Steve said.
"Oh, come one Stevie boy, cheer up a little. Plus you only gave up one goal, Emery gave up the other four," Jackie whispered.
"I gave up the important one," Steve muttered.
"Stop this whole blaming yourself, that's my thing," Jackie cried, "I hate seeing you so down on yourself, it's not right. Hockey is a team sport, TEAM, it takes everyone chipping in to win, it's not your fault."
"Jackie, go see your Bruin friends, I don't really feel like talking to you," Steve snapped. He didn't try to come out sounding so mean, but he really didn't feel like talking to her.
"Fine," Jackie snapped, getting up, "Just don't come crawling to me when you need someone to listen. I'm not going to be there."
