Maggie's POV
We've been back in DC for two days. It was fun for me to see the families again, since I don't get to see them that often, like Tom does when he's in Toronto. I had to see my grandma and she screamed when she saw my ring. "Margret Elizabeth Ryan, that is not the ring that you got from your Grandma Ryan" "You're right, Grandma. Tom finally popped the question. James said that it was about damn time." "Maggie, I'm glad. Tom was always a part of the family and you were a part of his." I then remembered all the trips and when we would go to my grandparents cabin. I remember once we were at the cabin with some friends and we went hiking. I twisted my ankle and Tom carried me, bridal style and made sure I saw someone about it when we got back. I also remembered when I overheard his friend Paul making a bet with himself and Bryan to ask me out. I wasn't the prettiest girl or the more popular one that got invited to all the parties, but I had a good time. When Paul called me "the ugly duckling" of my friends, I thought that Tom was gonna kill him. I heard him punching a locker and that's when I knew that I had to calm him down. Like I always did/

Tom's POV
It was good to see everyone again, even though it was for two days. She started yelling at me when I was about to drive back to DC, because she wanted to drive. I walked on to our floor to hear her and Latts shouting at the TV, which only meant one thing- they were watching sports. Silently laughing to myself I unlocked the door. "I heard you two shouting" when I got out of the elevator. "We have good lungs then" Latts said and Maggie smiled, looking phenomenal in her Wilson 43 shirt. "Hey baby" I said and Latts thought I was talking to him because he said "hey doll". I went to the kitchen to get some water and thought to myself how I got so lucky to be spending the rest of my life with an amazing woman like Maggie
