Flashback

Tom's POV

We landed in who the hell knows where and it was early evening when we got to the hotel. After I called my Mum, even though I didn't live with her anymore she still wanted a "proof of life" thing, usually I called unless it was early in the morning. I called Maggie, but she didn't answer. That was weird but we had a team dinner to get to, so I didn't put that much thought into it. She called me back when we were headed back to the hotel. "Sorry I missed your call Tommy. I was on a date" "Do you think there's gonna be a second?" I asked "No, he made me pay and he spent the entire time talking about his ex" "HE MADE YOU PAY?" I yelled "Tommy, my Nan heard that" she said. Ryan Hartman, who was my roommate for this trip, glared at me for yelling "My roommate wants to tell you something, Mags" I said and put her on speaker to hear shuffling of something "Mags, you there?" "I needed to get out of that shirt. Am I on speaker?" "Mhm" "It's Maggie, right?" Ryan asked "That's what they tell me" she said "Boo, you need to drop him" he said " 2 things, Hartman. 1- don't call me boo and 2- there isn't gonna be a second date. You probably heard Tom yell, but he made me pay" "Tom had every right to get angry because this lame ass guy made you pay. Do you want us to go beat him up?" "No" I said, knowing the answer. "No" she said "My brothers are probably gonna go do that, unless you want to help or take a rain check with the Ryan men" "I have to go, Tommy. Night Ryan" and she hung up. "You've got it bad for her" he said and got in the shower.

Current day
I woke up in New York and something felt off. I called Mags to see how she was doing and she started screaming. Luckily, Mrs. Ryan was there . "Tom she's having contractions." I talked to Coach Trotz, who told me to go rent a car and not to say anything during labor. I texted Maggie to tell her the update and started driving. I'm gonna be a dad soon before the morning comes.
