Another Day in Nashville

I nervously tapped my fingers on the back of my phone. It was the All-Star break, James and I were headed to Whitby for the three day vacation. "You okay, Emmy?"

"Yeah, James." I nodded

"You sure?" he asked grabbing my hand

"I'm just nervous about meeting your family..."

James smiled, squeezing my hand "It'll be okay. They'll love you."

"I hope so."

"I know so." James replied as we pulled up to a lovely house. "Here we are."

"This place is cute."

"Yeah." James smiled grabbing my hand as we headed inside. James opened the door and walked in, in front of me, "Hellooo?" he called

I heard the sound of a thump and feet running on the upper level, within minutes a tall blonde girl was running down the steps and into James' arms, "James!!!!" she yelled

James laughed and hugged her "Hey, Becks."

"I'm so happy you made it! I mean I'm bummed you didn't make the All-Star Game, but I'm so happy you're here!"

James smiled, "I know."

"Oh. Hello." she said turning to me, "I'm Rebecca. You are?"

"I'm Emilee." I smiled

"Becks, this is my girlfriend."

Rebecca smiled, hugging me "Oh! That's right! So nice to meet you!"

"Is he here??" I heard a male voice call coming down the steps. "Hey, bro!"

"Nicky! Nice to see you out of your room." Rebecca teased

"Oh, haha." Nick said hugging James and then turning to me with a smile "Oh, hey! You must be Emilee, I'm Nick."

"Hi, Nick." I smiled

"Where's mom and dad?" James asked

"They went to get some stuff from the grocery store to make for dinner." Nick said

"Where are Mike and Pete?"

"Pete's on his way and Michael called and said he'll be late." Rebecca explained

"Figures...I should've picked up Pete." James laughed

"Probably. He's gunna get lost." Rebecca laughed

"Well. We just came by to say hello...we'll be back for dinner. We're gunna go to my place and rest up a bit. Almost 13 hours in the car."

"Aw okay!" Rebecca said hugging James then me "So nice meeting you!"

"You too." I smiled

"We'll be back." James said leading me out the door

"I didn't know you had a place..."

James laughed "You think we were staying with them?"

I nodded, "Yeah."

"No no. I mean I love my family, but I need my space. It's not far from here though. We can take a nap." James smiled

"Great!" I smiled.
