Another Day in Nashville

I took a deep breath as I walked to the entry way of the auditorium where James and I would be married. I heard the music playing as our bridal part made their ways to the front of the room. I held onto my bouquet as I headed out the entryway. The music to "Here Comes the Bride" began and everyone stood, turning to face me as I walked up. I looked up to the front of the room and to James, who had a huge smile on his face. I smiled back.

He looked amazing in his gray tux with his purple vest. His hair in its spiked up position. I finally reached him and he took a hold of my hands smiling "You look so beautiful." he whispered to me before the officiator began the ceremony...

I sat beside James at our table. He was holding my hand as we listened to his brother Michael tell a funny story from their childhood. I smiled at James as he stood up to make a final toast "Emilee and I would like to thank all of you for coming and making this day special for us. Ever since I met her, there has always been something special about Emilee." he smiled over at me and continued "She's an amazing woman and I love her more than anything. I'm not the best with words, but I love you Emilee and I am so happy we are about to start our new life together."

Our honeymoon was perfect. James took us to Cabo. We spent a lot of time on the beach and on the ocean. I never wanted that trip to end, but the time came for us to head to Canada so he could start training for the next season.

James was out at Gary's and I was laying at our place in Canada when the doorbell rang. I got up and answered it "Erika..."

"Hey, sis."

"What are you...how did you know where I was?"

"I messaged James. I needed to talk to you and I figured after all the stuff before the wedding that you wouldn't agree. So I asked him and he told me."

"What do you need? And no I am not pregnant."

"I know that. I wanted to apologize."

"Apologize?"

"I was a bitch to you and I was judging you. I thought you were getting yourself into another Josh situation. But I see that James is different and I was wrong to judge him. I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?"

I smiled and hugged her "Of course I forgive you! You're my sister, but I'm not the one you should be apologizing to. You should apologize to James."

"I did." Erika smiled "When I messaged him."

"Thank-you, Erika. This means so much to me." I said hugging her again. Everything in my life was finally piecing together. I had made amends with my family and was married to an amazing man. I was happy.
