Another Day in Nashville

James and I had decided to spend the few days before the wedding apart. I had stayed at the house, while he stayed over at Shea's. "You look so beautiful." Danielle Gaustad said while I tried on my dress for them

"I know. Isn't that dress the prettiest?" Carrie smiled.

Some of the Predator's wives and girlfriends had come over, "Has he seen the dress yet?" Aleah, Craig Smith's girlfriend, asked

I shook my head, "I haven't let him see it. I want it to be a surprise."

"Well, he's going to love it." Carrie said hugging me. I smiled and headed to the bedroom, taking the dress off and hanging it back up and putting it in its bag. I put back on my clothes and headed to the living room. "So Mike just called, the guys made it home safely."

"Good." I smiled "Hey, girls. Thanks for coming. My sister..." I sighed "My sister cannot make it to the wedding and my friend had already made plans for tonight."

"Oh no problem, Emilee. The guys were going to keep James busy so we don't mind." Danielle said

"I'm surprised Richie didn't come here." I laughed just then Nixon came in and licked my hand. "Oh! I forgot about your supper." I got up and filled Nixon's bowl "Good boy."

"Come on girl, the movie is about to start." Aleah called

I scratched Nix behind the ear and headed back into the living room to watch a movie with the girls.

"Having fun?" James asked when he called to say good night

"Yeah. Some of the girls came and we watched a movie."

"Are you nervous about tomorrow?"

The next day would be our rehearsal. "A little. But that just means I'm one day closer to being married to you."

James laughed "Yeah. That's true. I love you Emmy."

"Love you too, James."

"Emmy?"

"Yeah, babe?"

"I'm really excited to start our lives together. Since that day we met at Richie's...there was just something about you. You're perfect in so many ways..."

"No, I'm not."

"You are to me. I love you Emilee."

"I love you too, James."

"I'm going to head to bed, baby."

"Okay, James. Good night."

"Good night, Emmy." he said before hanging up

I smiled and scratched Nix again, before laying back in bed in falling asleep. In two days, James and I would be married.

Rehearsal went great. James' family all came. "Are you excited?" Rebecca asked

I nodded "I can't wait to marry your brother. He's amazing."

Rebecca smiled "I can't wait to have another girl in the family. I'm drowning in the guys."

I laughed "I bet."

"I mean there's Syd, Mike's girlfriend. You'll get to meet her tomorrow...and Pete, he usually has some girl around." Rebecca laughed

"Great."

"Hey. You two having fun?" James asked coming up and putting his arm on me

"Yeah, Rebecca and I were just talking about the lack of women in the Neal family."

James laughed, kissing my cheek "Well, I'm glad you can change that for her. Mom says we have to go. To get to our reservation in time."

I grabbed James' hand and we headed to the car, driving to the restaurant. His parents had made us reservations for rehearsal dinner. James was holding my hand as we were listening to him and his friend Paul Martin reminisce about their Pittsburgh days. James' smiled widened and he looked over at me kissing my cheek. I smiled back at him. In less than 24 hours, I'd be Mrs. James Neal.
