Emily ran to the booth that her other interns were sitting at, laughing loudly, coincidently right where the song had dwindled down before another one started up. She didn't mean to be late. Just fashionably late. Call it a Persian quirk.

Climbing in beside Reese she smiled at everyone else, finding a set of big brown eyes looking at her.

They eyes belonged to someone with long brown hair, covered for the most part by a black baseball hat slung backwards. He was handsome in a frat boy kind of way. And the way his white v-neck clung to his upper body he had swimmer shoulders, but he was too heavy set to be a swimmer.

He gave her a smile, and she noticed a missing tooth.

A hockey player. Now it was obvious.

If anything potentially happened, she needed to play coy and hard to get.

She returned the smile, looking down at her phone briefly before bringing her eyes up to meet his again, seeing a blush creep up on his face before turning to the waitress

"Can I have a blueberry mojito please?" She asked over the booming music.

The waitress went off to go get her drink as Reese leaned over to say "looks like you have an admirer."

Emily rolled her eyes, "I know. He's cute though right?"

"Not my cup of tea. But he is cute." Her New York accent strong.

"He's nice to look at. He's a hockey player though, you know what that means."

"I'm from the Upper East Side. We had slimier to worry about."

"Right. Oh this looks so yummy." She noted after receiving her drink.

Reese shook her head with a grin as they shared stories about their days in each of their departments at Fossil. Emily was bouncing between Merchandising and Marketing and Reese was down in design, fitting for a Parsons intern.

After a while they decided to move to the dance floor, the group of them taking over a vast space. Emily leading the pack as per usual. Always in charge, blame it on being a Capricorn.

After a couple of songs she didn't realize how hot she was getting until she made her way to the bar, using her cleavage to get the attention of a bartender right away. He looked like Jax from Vanderpump Rules.

"Could I have a Coors please?" She asked, her southern accent came back to her naturally being in Texas.

"Comin right up Darlin." He drawled out, giving her a wink.

She flashed him a smile, and giving him a sassy hair flip, hoping to weasel her way into a free beer. Fishing out some money out of her clutch just in case she felt a large hand on her back and someone in her ear saying "I got it."

She turned around and found those big brown eyes and broad shoulders towering over her. He was definitely a tall drink of water for sure. As the bartender came back with her beer, He slipped him a $10 and told him to keep the change

She leaned into his ear; "Thanks for buying my beer but you didn't have to do that."

"It's my pleasure. I thought I'd buy a pretty girl a beer. Jamie." He smiled.

She gave him a side glance; "Well Jamie. I'm Emily. And I guess I owe you something."

"No you don't." He smiled, his little lisp was cute, and his accent she pegged him for being from the Canadian West Coast.

"At least a dance. Order yourself something, drink it and come find me after." She winked, taking a swig of her beer and walking back to her group of friends, making sure she swayed her hips as she knew he was watching.

She felt him behind her not to shortly after, she knew it was him as Reese had given her a wink. She ground her ass into hopefully what was his hips as she started to move to the rhythm of the song.

It didn't take long to get a little heated. She turned around so she was facing him, making sure her thumb was over the opening of her beer bottle to save it from being roofied she pressed her nose into his cheek as he placed his hands on her hips.

She could have easily broken her rule of not kissing random boys at the bar with him, but she needed to stay true to herself, avoiding his advances of trying to take her lips.

"Why won't you kiss me?" He asked, his voice hitched.

"Because I don't kiss random boys in nightclubs." She stated before turning around so her back was to him again.

He breathed into her ear; "But I'm not a random. You know my name."

"But I don't know you. Find me later and I might give you my number." She announced.

She needed a cigarette anyways. She parted ways with Jamie, looking over her shoulder, finding him with a smile but his face clearly read disbelief. Typical hockey player.

Jamie watched her walk into the crowded dance floor, away from him. Swaying her hips as she gave him a devious grin.

He wanted to do nothing more then wrap her long legs around his hips and ravage her all night. She was exotic as hell and her southern drawl turned him on.

"This isn't like you Jamie." He muttered to himself, making his way back to the booth he shared with his teammates.

They had convinced him to come into town early before the season started, and he was to start negotiating his new contract as well.

"Where's the girl." Brandon asked him as he sat down.

Jamie shrugged; "She excused herself, it looked like she was heading to the patio."

"So you got shot down?" Antoine asked.

"No. She told me to come find her later. Head games man. I'll wait for her to come to me."

He watched his teammates roll their eyes and laugh. He was so sure of himself. He just needed to wait for her to come back to the neighbouring booth.

But she never did. At the end of the night he scoped for her friends and didn't see any of them around the bar. She must have left already.

He just wanted to get to know her at least.
