Why Are You So Obsessed With Me?

In the morning, I woke up to an empty bed. Guess that Brandon had to leave for the trip to D.C. There was a note on the pillow that he used.
Tyler,
Hope you had a better dream then what happen. I was hoping that we can go out when I get back from D.C. Two nights from now. I will call you when we land. I love you.
Brandon.
When I walk out of my room and place the note on the kitchen counter. I see that Jane was watching "Live with Kelly and Michael".
"Who's on the show today?"
"Oh, I think it was Matt Damon and a band I never herd of." We watch it and I could see in Jane's eyes that she was hiding something for me.
"Do you know when Brandon left this morning?"
"I think around 6:40, I was up. I couldn't sleep the whole night and that I'm stress about that I'm having this huge artist block. This girl really wants a painting by I don't know what to paint."
"Jane, I know when your lying to me. Just tell me what's going on."
"OK, just don't kill me. I know that you didn't take your sleeping pills last night because I heard you screaming Brandon's name. Then here's comes the part when I tell you that your going to kill me. It's slip out I said ”maybe she got off her meds."
"Did you tell him that it was sleeping pills? I though if I was with him maybe the nightmares will go away but as you can hear from what happen last night it didn’t.”
"No, I didn't. After I said that he went back to your room and got ready to leave." I handed Jane the note.
"When do you think that he's going to ask you about the meds? After he lands or when you see him two nights from now?"
"I have no idea right now, I feel so stupid not telling him when we got back together."
"Are you two back together?" That's a good question that I don't know the answer to. I look at the time and I had to get ready to see Dr.Copper.


"So Tyler, how's life now since you are talking to Jane and Brandon now?
“Better, I mean Brandon and I went on a date last night. Jane and I move downtown Pittsburgh. But, I know that what's going on in my head will still take some time to heal, right?"
"Do you want it to take it's time?"
"I do."
"Why?"
"Our minds are not computers. We can't restart them or turn them on or off. Everything that happen is stuck in my mind. Something did happen I found out this morning and I feel like an idiot."
"What would that be?"
"I forgot to tell Brandon that I was on sleeping pills. I didn't talk any last night because I though if he was there the nightmares won’t come back. I was screaming Brandon's name because, my dream was that night. Then Brandon woke me up and I was cover in sweats and tears."
"What did you do when you woke up?"
"I got out of bed and went into my bathtub. Brandon came and sat next to me. He ask me if I wanted to talk about it. I didn't, all I wanted to do was to sit in here and tell myself that everything's alright. That Hunter won't be near me for the rest of my life. Brandon's back in my life and wants to try it again with me."
"This is what I wanted you do to. I wanted you to reconnect to the people who love you. Then all of those bad memories that you have will be cover from the new happy memories that you will get from now."
"Like, turning the page." Dr.Copper smile so big of how happy she was for me.
"You made a hug improvement about your self and I am very proud of you." She got out of her chair and gave me hug.
“How does a month from now sounds?”
“A month, not every two weeks?”
“This is a huge improvement for you right now. Giving more time will help you and others around you. So talk to Sara and she will get everything ready for next month." When I walk out of her office, my phone was ringing. It was Brandon.
"Hey, how was the flight?"
"Good, how did you sleep?"
"Good, I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Sure."
"It's about what happen this morning. Jane told me about her telling you about the meds. They are only sleeping pills for me so I don't have to get those nightmares. I didn't take one last night because I was with you and I though the nightmares were going to stop. It just slip my mind to tell you about I'm sorry about that." He sigh and he laugh a little.
"Good, I though it was for something else. Thank you for telling me this Tyler. I think that's a step forward into something bigger. I have to go, I need to get ready for tomorrow's game."
"Ok, text me when your leaving D.C."
"I will, Tyler, I love you."
"I love you to." While was I was driving home and I forgot to ask Brandon if we are together or not. Now I am going to think about this till we met again. During the game it was great and tuff. Other than Philly these two teams hate each other.

That night, I borrowed Jane’s car and over to the restaurant that Brandon texted me. When I came in I see that Brandon was already there.
"You look great." I gave him a hug.
"Thank you."

It was quiet for a couple of minutes because we have been texting each other since they beat the Capitals from a shoot out.
"So did you ask coach if you wanted to do a shoot out?"
"No." He chuckled a little. "I'm not ready for that, beside I heard that mustache boy is coming up and I hope that I could beat it."
"Mustache boy?"
"If you don't get the puck behind Flower than you have to grow a mustache for a month."
"Not to be mean but I want you to lose to see what a mustache looks on you." He laugh again.
"No you don't, it's so bad. It looks like I'm a retired porn star." I spit up my drink because that came out of the blue. This was nice and I am so glad that we can have this. We were walking back to my car.
"Brandon?"
"Yeah?"
"Are we back together?"
"Of course we are. Why did you ask that?"
"Jane and I were talking when she told me about her telling you about the whole meds thing. She ask me if we were back together again. I am very happy that we are."
"I wouldn't tell you that I love you if I didn't want to be with you." The weight of the world is now gone from my shoulders.
"Thanks."
"Now let's get you home. I will see you tomorrow with your parents at the game." He open the car door for me. When I got inside, he kiss me and left. I got home and before I got inside, I place my head on the sterling wheel. I was tired and happy. My parents are coming with me and they will have a great time. I hope.
