My Not So Extravagant Life

A SUMMARY OF MY PRE-SUMMER

Since I was living around Philadelphia, I was surrounded by Flyers fans and soon became one myself.

Maxime Talbot, Penguins and Flyers player, well I was his friend. And we talked a lot. In less than three days we would have sent more than 100,000 messages, about anything and everything.
He reintroduced me to the famous penguins captain, none other than Sidney Crosby, Sid the Kid, and crysby/crybaby.

Over the next few months we got really close. And when the penguins didn't make it to the Stanley cup playoffs, he went to Prague, for the 2014 IIHF world championships.

May second, we made it official. Boyfriend and Girlfriend I mean.

Yeah, I know. Cousins a professional hockey player. Boyfriend is the face of the NHL. What's not to like? A lot actually.

As the IIHF was going on we were still trying to figure out how our relationship would affect others and other things.

In one of the first games for team Canada, Sid got a penalty shot against team Latvia. He told me that he thought of me right before he went and scored. Then said it was for me.

Since I was in class during most games I had Max keep me up to date. I remember sitting in my oceanography class with two guys who didn't believe I was actually talking to Max Talbot. I remember how nervous I got when I couldn't watch a game, but Max would always make me laugh.
He would tell me the other team was winning when Canada was the one winning. He also insisted I called Sid golden boy. When Sid got that penalty shot. He was the one who told me what happened, and just to be the butt he was, he told me Sid missed, "oh wait that went in. Guess your boyfriend scored." And when I couldn't get any service I'd freak out and send max like five messages asking score, who scored them, penalties, hits, and time left/period.
He had gotten so sick of me toward the end because I kept asking the same questions every game. "Why don't you just ask your boyfriend?"
The ironic part was max called Sid my boyfriend way before we started dating and was the first one we told after we started dating. "I told you! But no one listened to me!"

Although it may seem like it was perfect, it was far from it.

Because of the 6 hour time difference, it was hard for us to actually find the time to talk. It seemed that whenever one of us was free, the other was busy. He was doing interviews, practice, and games, while I was working, doing homework, or attending school.

As the iihf slowly came to an end, I was happy to be able to spend time with him. As much time as we could together before the training for preseason had to start. Only problem was our summer schedules were so different.

Notes

I know there is a slight over gap in this chapter and the last but i kind of liked it that way.
