"Oh My Bubbys, No!"
10 months later…
Sidney is in his living room, sitting on his sofa, snuggled with Bubby and Bubby Jr. He is eagerly eating popcorn while staring at the TV. The TV screen is broadcasting the 2015 NHL Draft live from BB&T Arena in Sunrise, Florida, USA.
“This is so fun!” Sidney exclaims, looking at his stuffed gorillas on each side. “It brings me memories of when I was first drafted!” He sighs staring dreamily ahead as the memories pop up in his mind. “Ah, yes...memories!”
The reporter’s voice from the TV starts blaring, snapping Sidney’s attention back onto the screen. “Oh, it’s starting, it’s starting!”
Peter Chiarelli, the president of hockey operations and General Manage of the Edmonton Oilers walks up on stage and stands behind the podium as the camera zooms in on him.
He begins to say his thanks, then finally says: “And with that being said, the Edmonton Oilers would like to select with their first pick from the Erie Otters: Connor McDavid.”
Sidney gapes at the TV as bursts of applauses flow through the screen; he then slumps from the sofa and collapses onto the floor on his stomach. The popcorn slides down with him, spilling all over the floor and on him. Bubby and Bubby Jr. just continue staring at the TV with their beady, black eyes.
Sidney immediately flies up to his knees; he stares at the TV with an anxious look. “Oh my Bubbys, no!” He shakes his head as his expressions begins to turn more serious. “No...not you...not you…, friend.”
