‘’No sane human being does this willingly.’’ I did one push up and my body fell down on the sweaty floor under me. After me and Tatiana had a talk this morning, she dragged me to the gym just down the street of our apartment.

‘’The hard part is already over, actually getting here is the hard part. Come on one more push up.’’ She stood over me cheering me on, but I just got annoyed with her nagging.

‘’No thanks I’m fine.’’ I closed my eyes and focused on getting my breathing under control.

‘’Come on, one more! You have been partying and eating so unhealthy lately.’’ She kept nagging causing me to roll my eyes and sigh.

‘’Are you calling me fat?’’ I looked up on her and now she was the one rolling her eyes.

‘’Stop messing around and do one more push up, now.’’

‘’Fine..’’ I didn’t feel like arguing with the stubborn Tatiana so I did what she wanted and got up from the floor to do one more push up.

‘’So what do you know about Tyler anyway?’’ She suddenly asked and sat down beside of me. It was a good time of the day to be at the gym, we’re basically alone here which is nice because then no one sees me and my bad health condition.

‘’He’s good in bed. No scratch that, he’s amazing in bed.’’ I smiled at her and she just let out a chuckle.

‘’That’s all you know?’’ She narrowed her eyes at me and I nodded.

‘’I have only slept with the guy twice. He has a nice house and he plays hockey, he drives an SUV. That’s all I know.’’

‘’Oh sorry I forgot it’s you we’re talking about, you never get to know the guys you sleep with.’’

‘’Why should I? I take the good stuff and then I get the hell out of there.’’ I said and laughed while sitting up instead of lying on the floor.

‘’God you’re so weird.’’ She gently pushed me aside and I jokingly pushed back.

‘’You love me anyway.’’

‘’Forever and always, till death do us apart.’’

‘’Exactly! Forever and always.’’ I answered, it’s something stupid me, Alyssa and Tatiana always tells each other. It’s very strange, but we’re a bunch of weirdos.

‘’Okay let’s stop with the lovey duvy before you faint or something, do another one.’’

‘’Hell no, you said one more before the last one.’’ I did a dramatic gesture to show that I’m not happy that she’s making me do one more.

‘’Well I lied, come on go down and give me one more.’’ She shrugged and pointed at the floor to show me she was serious.

‘’God you’re hopeless.’’ I sighed and got in position to do one more.

‘’This is his house? God it’s a fucking palace!’’ Tatiana exclaimed while parking in Tyler’s driveway. There were a lot of cars parked in the driveway and all of them can’t be Tyler’s, so clearly people are already here. I’m a social person so I have no idea why I’m getting nervous.

‘’How can you think this is a palace, you’re super rich?’’ I raised my eyebrows and glanced over at her.

‘’Please I’m not rich, my dad is. It’s a difference.’’ She rolled her eyes and we opened the car doors and slid out of Tatiana’s Mercedes.

‘’Still, I’m surprised you’re impressed by this.’’ I shrugged and we walked over to the front door. I took a deep breath before knocking on the door. Tatiana stared at me following my every move, I think she can feel that I’m a bit nervous.

The door opened and a guy stood in the hallway, not Tyler. I recognized him and quickly realized he was with Tyler when I handed him my number, the guy with the black hair.

‘’Hello..?’’ He looked confused but then I spotted Tyler walking over to us and stopped behind the guy.

‘’Nadia I’m surprised you actually came, and you brought a friend.’’ He looked amused and crossed his arms. The guy who opened the door looked back at Tyler and then turned his gaze back to us, not really understanding what’s going on.

‘’Jamie, this is Nadia who we met awhile ago. I got her number remember?’’ Tyler looked at the guy whose name probably is Jamie since Tyler just called him that.

‘’Hi..’’ I awkwardly waved at them feeling that we have been standing in the doorway a bit to long for it to be normal.

‘’Come in, what’s your name?’’ Tyler asked when they let us enter the house.

‘’Tatiana, I hope it’s alright that I came with.’’ She answered with a smile and shook hands with both Tyler and Jamie.

‘’Of course, no problem.’’ Tyler told her while I said a proper hello to Jamie.

‘’We’re barbecuing, you guys eat meat right?’’ Tyler asked while we followed him and Jamie through the house, probably heading to the backyard.

‘’Love meat!’’

‘’Good, I would probably judge you a bit if you didn’t.’’ Tyler smirked and glanced back at us for a second before stepping out to his outdoor area.

I saw six more people when we stepped outside, they were sitting around a table drinking beer. Six more boys, it made me feel a little more uncomfortable being here when I realized this group of boys probably is close friends and here I come with my friend and disturb their evening. I can’t understand why I’m nervous but it feels like they might judge me since I’m sleeping with Tyler.

‘’Boys! This is my friend Nadia, and Tatiana.’’ Tyler pointed on us and they all smiled at us and said hello.

‘’What do you girls drink?’’ Jamie asked and focused his eyes on Tatiana making me smile a bit, they should totally bang.

‘’I would like a beer.’’ She answered causing him to nod and then turned his attention to me wanting me to answer his question.

‘’A glass of red wine would be nice.’’ I told him and he handed Tatiana a beer and then headed inside to pour me a glass of wine.

‘’Girls this is, Demers, Jordie who’s also Jamie’s older brother, Eakin, Klinger, Sharpie and Goligoski.’’ Tyler explained and pointed at each one of them. I took a seat next to Demers when Jamie came back with my glass of wine. I smiled at him and thanked him for his nice gesture, god why am I so nice right now?

‘’It’s nice to meet all of you, sorry for ruining boys night’’ I said and glanced over at them.

‘’No problem it’s just nice to have some estrogen around here.’’ Eakin spoke up and chuckled before taking a sip out of his beer bottle.

‘’So how do you all know each other?’’ Tatiana took a seat next to Sharp and put her beer bottle down on the table in front of her.

‘’We all play for the Dallas stars, we’re all hockey players.’’

‘’Wait isn’t that an NHL team?’’ I asked curiously, I know Tyler said he played hockey but I didn’t know he played in the NHL.

‘’Yeah where did you think I played hockey when I told you?’’ Tyler sat down on the chair next to me and put his arm up, laying it behind my back on my chair.

‘’I don’t know, I’m not an expert in hockey so I wasn’t sure.’’ I laughed and took a sip of my delicious red wine. This totally beats push ups at the gym any time.

‘’When does the season start?’’ Tatiana asked and glanced over at Jamie who made sure the meat didn’t burn on the grill.

‘’In a month so right now we’re relaxing, doing some workouts to get ready for the training camp coming up. It’s actually the first summer I have spent my entire time here in Dallas, usually I fly back to Toronto and visit my friends and family there.’’ Tyler told Tatiana who just nodded at his every word. I just studied his face, I like his face and I definitely like looking at it. It’s kind of crazy that I’m spending quality time with a guy and his friends on a beautiful evening here in Dallas.

‘’Oh so you’re canadian?’’ Tatiana asked him and Tyler nodded.

‘’Yes born and raised.’’

‘’Hey chubbs, don’t burn the meat!’’ Demers shouted at him and Jamie just rolled his eyes. That’s a strange nickname to have, chubbs. I laughed in my mind while just watching and listening to the guys conversation. Tatiana looked at me and I think she can see that this unfamiliar situation makes me uncomfortable. I’m like a turtle going back into it’s shell not really being myself at the moment. But it makes me happy to see that Tatiana is enjoying herself and is socializing with everyone here.

‘’Do you want another glass?’’ Tyler asked and leaned over to my ear and pointed at my empty glass, I didn’t even notice that I have already downed one glass of wine.

‘’Yeah I can come with.’’ We got up and I followed Tyler inside and into his kitchen.

He walked over to the wine bottle and poured me another glass.

‘’Where do you keep your regular glasses, I want some water.’’

‘’Here just take this water bottle.’’ He handed me a cold water bottle and I nodded.

‘’So I’m glad that you actually came.’’ He rested his body on the kitchen island glancing over at me while I took a seat on his kitchen bench.

‘’I know, everyone loves my presence.’’ I said sarcastically causing him to smile. He changed his facial expression, I knew he was about to ask me a question.

‘’When you moved here, did your family come with you or did you move on your own?’’ I could tell he was curious, but it felt like he also really just wanted to know so he could get to know me. Either way my body got stiff by his question and my mood shifted quickly.

‘’First of, it’s none of your business. But if you have to know, my only family is Alyssa and Tatiana. That’s all I got.’’ I shrugged and jumped down from the kitchen bench, hoping he would let the subject of my past go.

‘’Do you know if they still live in New York?’’

‘’Tyler for the love of God please notice the hint I’m giving you, to mind your own business. You’re so nosey.’’ I took a sip of my water and shook my head at the thought of him not letting this one go, we don’t even know each other. We have basically just met and all of the sudden it feels like this guy wants to know everything about my life.

‘’I want to get to know my new friend.’’ He smiled and took a step towards me.

‘’Well somehow you always seem to piss me off.’’

‘’Oh feisty, I like it.’’ A smirk appeared on his face causing me to roll my eyes at him.

‘’And you’re annoying.’’

‘’Do you like Dallas at least? That’s not a very personal question.’’

‘’Dallas is home, I love it here. The only thing that’s annoying is that everyone is too nice for their own good. I’m annoyed with people who are too nice, it seems fake.’’ I explained and he laughed at my comment.

‘’A lot of things in life seem to annoy you.’’

‘’Yep, that’s true.’’

‘’Tell me your dreams, like what do you want to do in the future?’’

‘’Why do you want to know a bunch of things all of the sudden, weirdo?’’ I raised my eyebrows at him, has he taken something or why is he suddenly so dreamy.

‘’Just tell me, I’m already living mine as you know.’’ He said probably referring to hockey.

‘’I don’t have plans, dreams or anything like that.’’

‘’Why? Everyone have dreams or goals in life.’’ He gave me a strange look thinking I was lying.

‘’Not me. In life some people get to fight towards their dream, some achieve their goals and some become heroes. Others, they’re born underdogs and stay underdogs for the rest of their lives. We don’t get to have dreams or goals because we will never be able to reach them, we have to accept that. I have seen and done things in my life that I’m happy where I am today, I have a roof over my head and I have my two best friends. I can put food on the table and enjoy my life, not a lot of people can. There are people in the world who never will get a roof over their head. So do I have dreams? No. I don’t need them, I send my thoughts and hopes on those who need it and I don’t.’’

‘’That’s extremely deep, I’m impressed that came out of your mouth.’’ He chuckled and it got me irritated causing me to turn around so I could walk back out.

‘’No I’m joking, seriously.’’ He stopped me by grabbing my arm and turned me around. ‘’But I think that you can enjoy your life, care about those who are in need and have your own dreams. You shouldn’t feel guilty just because you have a lot but still dream for more.’’

‘’I don’t feel guilty, I just don’t think you need to constantly want more in life, I’m happy where I am today.’’ I got out of his grip and looked into his eyes. ‘’Now I don’t know about you but I need a shot.’’

‘’Good idea, fireball?’’ He walked to his cabinet and looked inside.

‘’Yes! I love fireball!’’ I exclaimed and he took out a big bottle of fireball and got us to shot glasses. He poured one each and then handed me one.

‘’Cheers’’ I said and swept it, he quickly followed my moves. I felt the taste and the burning feeling travel from my throat down to my stomach.

‘’That was go-’’ I got interrupted by Tyler. He grabbed my waist and pushed me against the kitchen island, forcing his lips onto mine. My hands traveled from his back and up to his hair, getting my fingers tangled up in his brown hair. I felt his beard stroke against my jaw and his tongue fighting to enter my mouth. He put me up on the kitchen island and pushed himself between my legs closer to my body causing me to moan, allowing him more access to my mouth. He deepened our kiss and put one hand on my lower back, pushing my top up a bit so his hand would touch my bare skin. His much traveled to my neck and an electric feeling went through my entire body making me moan even louder than before.

‘’Let’s go upstairs..’’ I finally found words to make out a sentence while his attention still was on my neck.

‘’Yeah? You want me?’’ He smirked against my skin, egging me on.

‘’Yes… Yeah I do.’’ I took a deep breath trying not to moan again because this time Tatiana and the boys outside will probably hear me.

I put my legs around his waist and he started walking to the stairs and then carried me up to his bedroom. The others probably saw us and talked about us at this point but I didn’t care and I don’t think Tyler does either, all I can think about is him inside of me. That feeling he provides me that just puts me far over the edge.
