‘’Alyssa! I haven’t seen you in a good minute!’’ I exclaimed and stood up so I could embrace her in a hug. I smelled her hair and that might be a little strange but I just love the smell, she has the best schampo. Tatiana quickly got up from the couch to join in on our hug before all of us sat back down in the couch.

‘’What have you girls been up to? Glad to see that you’re friends again.’’ Alyssa said while sitting in between us.

‘’Just been talking, there’s been a lot of drama lately.’’ Tatiana said with a smile on her lips.
‘’Yes it has. I was actually thinking that maybe we should take a trip somewhere together, to get away and breathe for a second. I think we need a break from Dallas.’’ Alyssa said and I nodded in agreement seeing myself on the street in Paris with shopping bags, or on a beach in Greece. Tatiana’s smile grew bigger and she started smiling in a mysterious kind of way.

‘’What now?’’ I asked a little afraid of what Tatiana had in mind.

‘’It’s funny that you bring that up Alyssa because I got an offer yesterday..’’ She started talking and I just rolled my eyes scared of what’s coming.

‘’Please don’t say that Jamie and the boys gave you some kind of offer.’’ I asked and sighed, I was only asking since we hung out with them yesterday.

‘’They did. It was nice of them to actually ask so don’t be a bitch about this. Training camp is starting for them and instead of having it in Dallas they’re having it in Toronto for one week. We would be traveling with them on the team plane so we don’t have to buy plane tickets which is nice.’’ Tatiana explained and I looked at Alyssa and she seemed to be intrigued by it.

‘’Are we really allowed to join them? I mean it’s their training camp.’’ I asked, how can the organization be okay with us three girls joining their little trip.

‘’They said it’s fine, they will be focused on training and so on, we will do our own thing. They’re fun to be around so why not? Maybe we can learn more about hockey who knows, but it will be a good break.’’ Tatiana shrugged and I took a deep breath.

‘’When we talked about getting away I was thinking more like Europe.’’ I said and tried to get them on my train, hoping we would choose like Italy, France or Greece instead of Canada.

‘’I’m texting Jamie right now and letting them know that we’re taking their nice offer.’’ Tatiana picked up her phone and started typing away. I guess I have to consider myself defeated on this one.
‘’Well okay then, when are we going?’’ I asked curious when I was going to see Tyler’s face again, the thought of it made my stomach hurt but not in a bad way.

‘’In two days. The season starts in a month so they always have it around this time to get ready for what’s coming.’’ Tatiana answered without breaking her gaze on the phone.

‘’When did you start to be so interested in them and hockey?’’ I smirked and her and she just scoffed at me.

‘’I just think it’s nice of them to actually invite us. We don’t know them and they invited us after just a few hours of spending time with us and they invited Alyssa whom have never met. I just think it’s extremely kind of them and I think that when you get an invitation like that you can’t decline.’’

‘’Fine for everyone’s sake I will do my best to embrace this and have a good attitude about this. Just because I’m tired of the drama and just want to have a good time.’’ I said causing Alyssa and Tatiana to smile and applaud what I just promised.

‘’I think that if we stay positive about this we’ll have the best time together.’’ Alyssa said and we all agreed. To be honest, I was interested on how this trip would work out. I want to have a good attitude about because I’m actually a little bit excited. But if Tyler annoys me I can’t promise that it will shift.

Alyssa and Tatiana started talking about what we can do while being in Toronto. Both of them have been to Toronto many times but I have actually never been there before. My phone started buzzing and I picked it up to check who just texted me.

‘’Just heard you’re joining us on our trip to Toronto, excited to show you my hometown.’’ - Tyler.

The texted caused me to smile and luckily Alyssa and Tatiana didn’t notice.

‘’It feels like we’re imposing though.’’ - Nadia.

‘’Not at all, it will be nice to have you around. But we probably won’t see each other much, we will focus on hockey.’’ - Tyler.

‘’Understandable. We will probably just go shopping every day anyway, but maybe we can watch a movie or something one night. I owe you something remember, so why not a movie night’’ - Nadia. I looked at the text for a long time before I pressed send. It felt like I was fifteen years old again, I’m not used to ask guys if they want to watch a movie. I’m not used to the fact that I actually want to hang out with someone, but somehow I felt that way with Tyler.

‘’Sounds good, surprised you brought that up. I will be dead tired every night but I will fight to stay up so I can cuddle you.’’ - Tyler.

‘’Don’t ever write or say the word cuddle ever again.’’ - Nadia.

‘’That’s the Nadia I know and like, we’ll have a good time. See you in two days.’’ - Tyler.

‘’Yeah see you then.’’ - Nadia.

I smiled like a little kid on christmas. I wanted to fight all strange feelings I have for Tyler but I want to try to be positive about everything and just embrace a friendship with Tyler. Hopefully the others will get to know me better and won’t see me as someone Tyler sleeps with, hopefully they won’t think I’m a bitch.

TWO DAYS LATER

‘’Alyssa how many suitcases are you bringing?’’ I shouted across our apartment.

‘’Just one, how many are you taking with you?’’ She answered and I walked over to her room so I didn’t have to yell.

‘’Only one, I just wanted to check with you so you don’t bring to much like you usually do.’’

‘’God I can just feel the love from you today.’’ She expressed sarcastically and I just chuckled.

‘’Our car is here to pick us up, so move it!’’ Tatiana shouted from the hallway causing me and Alyssa to quickly walk to her so she wouldn’t get angry at us.

‘’We don’t want them to wait for us when they send a car and everything.’’ Tatiana continued and opened the door to drag her suitcase after her.

We made our way down with our suitcases and saw our driver waiting for us next to a black SUV.

‘’Hello ladies my name is Trevor, let me take your suitcases. You guys can take a seat.’’ He opened the door for us and we all said hello and thank you, being very polite to the poor man who had to drive us.

‘’What’s our plan when we get there?’’ I asked looking out of the window while we drove away.

‘’Let’s just get settled in at the hotel, grab something to eat and then it’s going to be late so maybe just watch a movie and go to bed. Tomorrow we can walk around town and just do what we feel like. I don’t think we should plan so much.’’ Tatiana said and shrugged and I agreed and thought it sounded like a good plan.

We drove for about fifteen minutes before arriving at a security point. Since we were going on a private plan, the car would drove up next to the plane so we didn’t have to go through security checks and waiting in line, which was really nice.

‘’Okay laidies we’re here. You don’t have to take your suitcases I will take care of it. You can just board the plane.’’ Trevor said and smiled at us.

‘’Thanks Trevs, and thank you for driving us.’’ I said and opened the car door.

‘’No problem have a nice trip.’’ He answered and got out of the car.

‘’We will!’’ We all shouted and started walking up the stairs, I’m not a fan of stairs they should have like an elevator or something instead. When we got up a flight attendant greeted us with the biggest and most fake smile I have seen in awhile.

‘’Welcome aboard, I’m Bree. Just take a seat wherever it’s available. If you have any questions just ask me.’’ She shook our hands and we just nodded and smiled back at her, walking inside the plane.

The first people we saw was Jamie and Demers. They were sitting in the front and discussed hockey, so typical.

‘’Hello girls, excited for the trip?’’ Jamie gave me and Tatiana a hug and then greeted Alyssa properly since they have never met before. Demers did the same thing before they sat down again.

‘’We’re, probably going to do a lot of shopping. Are you guys ready to kick some ass at camp?’’ I asked and looked down at them with a smile, not even realizing that Alyssa and Tatiana took a seat on the other side of them.

‘’Super ready and excited to meet all the boys again.’’ Demers responded and I just nodded not knowing what to say next. I looked around and realized that Alyssa and Tatiana sat down behind me so I turned around to face them instead.
‘’Oh thanks, where am I going to sit?’’ I asked and looked down at Tatiana and Alyssa who sat beside each other leaving me all alone, they kept their mouth shut and just shrugged.

‘’Here!’’ Someone shouted further down on the plane and I turned around to see Tyler a few feet away leaning with his arm on the seats. I didn’t want to spend that much time beside Tyler but I rather sit next to him than some stranger so I walked down the aisle until I stood
right in front of him.

‘’Window or aisle?’’ He asked with a smirk on his face.

‘’Window.’’ I responded and took a seat. It was very comfortable, not like the economic seats on commercial airplanes that’s for sure. Tyler said hi to a teammate who just arrived before taking a seat next to me. He was wearing black pants and a white shirt, looking very stylish and I felt dressed down next to him.

‘’Have you ever been to Toronto before?’’ He asked while handing me a gum that I quickly put in my mouth. Flying makes me nervous so I felt the anxiety creeping up on me.

‘’No this will be my first time there.’’ I kept my gaze on the window, scared that I would be completely lost in Tyler’s eyes if I looked at him.

‘’Exciting, you will love it there.’’ I could feel that he studied me with his eyes making me feel warm inside.

‘’Are you happy to get home?’’ I turned my gaze and focused on my knees instead, it felt ridiculous to look out the window while he spoke to be.

‘’Yeah but I won’t see my family that much. We have a lot of activities with the team planned, it doesn’t leave much time for anything else.’’ He shrugged and I just nodded, didn’t really know how to act.

‘’That sucks.’’

‘’It is what it is.’’ He gave me a light smile before turning to someone who stood right beside our seats.

‘’Hey coach, how are you?’’ Tyler spoke causing me to look up at the older man who shook Tyler’s hand.

‘’I’m good, ready for a tough workout?’’ Coach said and then turned his eyes on me.

‘’Always, by the way this is Nadia.’’ Tyler explained and turned to me.

‘’Nice to meet you coach.’’ I said and shook his hand.

‘’Please Nadia call me Lindy.’’ He smiled at me making me feel much more comfortable which was nice.

The following ten minutes was filled with a bunch of people walking up to us to say hello. I have already forgot every one’s names, there’s to many of them.
All of the sudden the plane started moving causing me to get tense which I think Tyler noticed since he placed his hand on mine.

‘’Are you okay?’’ He asked and narrowed his eyes at me, I looked at him and nodded.

‘’I just hate the lift off, I really hate it.’’ I said and shut my eyes closed when the plane increased it’s speed.

‘’Just breathe.’’ He took my hand in his and I squeezed it hard. I felt the plane take off and I could hear that Tyler spoke to me, I just couldn’t make out the words because I was in my own bubble. All of the sudden I could feel the plane flying somewhat straight again so I opened my eyes and looked at Tyler. He let go of my hand and placed his hand on my thigh instead making me feel hot.

‘’See? You’re just fine.’’ He said and gave me his typical Tyler smirk and placed his hand even further up my thigh.
