Something Isn't Missing [Tyler Seguin]

(Jae’s POV)
My alarm goes off much earlier than I would like for it to and I realize that I’m still in Tyler’s arms and I smile.
“What’s the smile for, sweetheart?” He asks, pressing a kiss to my lips as he sits up.
“You stayed.” I tell him, almost sounding relieved. He nods and pulls me in for another kiss, this one lingering more than the last. I sit up and shiver, pulling his sweater back over my shoulders.
“I could get used to seeing that, you in my clothes.” He says, biting his lip.
“I could get used to stealing your clothes, babe.” I say, giggling a little. I get halfway through the door when I realize that he hasn't moved. I groan before walking back and grabbing his hand and pulling him out of bed.
“I hate saying this but you need to take your pills, baby.” He tells me as soon as we get into the kitchen. I take a shaky breath before opening the pill bottles and taking out the prescribed dose for the day. I leave the bottles open, as I see that Tyler has the organizer in front of him. I shuffle over to the fridge to grab some water as I see that Tyler has started putting pills in the organizer for me. My eyes begin to water at that sight, making me wonder how long he’s gonna have to do that for me. I reluctantly knock back the pills as tears begin to stream down my face. I lean back against the fridge and slide down it as the tears fall more and more frequently.
“Hey, hey, baby, what’s wrong?” Tyler asks me, kneeling next to me. I shake my head before he pulls me to him and holds me until I finish crying. I explain to him that I don’t want to rely on pills to make this whole living thing feel okay before I’m shut up by Tyler pressing a finger to my lips.
“I know, sweetheart, but you need to take these until at least the end of the school year. Can you do that for me?” He asks, brushing tears away from my eyes with the pad of his thumb. I nod and hug him tight until I finally finish crying.
I get myself together and sit on the counter as Tyler rummages through my fridge. I smile at the sight of the back of his shirt coming up and showing some skin.
“Whatcha want for breakfast, love?” He asks me, turning around and shutting the fridge. I shake my head and hop off the counter to grab an apple from my fruit bowl, holding one up for him. He nods and I toss it over to him, which he catches.
“Your family buys better apples than mine does,” I say, walking over to him. I nudge his arm with mine as he grabs my hand. We finish our apples in silence, which is comfortable.
We head back toward my room and we get ready, myself tossing a grey sweater on over my head and tugging on some burgundy skinny jeans. I pull my black on black “stage crew” Vans on over no-show socks, which are also black. I get ready, not really caring if Tyler sees me because he’s seen me change in the locker room for the past little while so it’s nothing new. I walk over to my mirror and apply some makeup, making sure that my bruises are covered.
“Dark or light?” I ask, holding up two red lipsticks, one being bright and the other is similar to the color of blood.
“Dark, it looks better with your face.” Tyler says, putting an arm around my waist and pressing a kiss to my temple. I nod and apply it, setting it with an oil blotting sheet. I take my hair down and brush it out, putting a black beanie onto the back of my head, making my hair look more presentable.
“Baby, you look amazing.” Tyler tells me, pulling me close to him.
I look over at him to see him wearing a dark red v-neck with some dark wash jeans and black Vans. I stand on my toes and play with his hair, kinda attempting to push it up (which doesn’t work).
“You look amazing too.” I say, smiling and instinctively biting my lip.
He presses a kiss to my lips and leads me out the door.
