"So you just gave him your number?" Carrie asked as she wiped off the coffee table

Laci nodded, "Yeah."

"And then he texted you?"

"Yeah." Laci replied

"You should invite him over, Laci." Tiana said coming into the living room

"Invite him here? I just met him."

"Laci, you haven't dated a guy since that asshole Freshman year of high school." Carrie said

Laci sighed. That was true. She hadn't dated much since Darren..and Darren wasn't the best. He was overly controlling and would always criticize her for what she wore and her appearance. "I just...I haven't met anyone since then."

"You've met someone now. Is he cute?" Tiana asked

Laci nodded "Yeah. He was really tall and he had these super blue eyes and this perfect smile..."

"Invite him over! Tell him he can bring a friend or two and we can all just hang out together." Carrie said "We can get a pizza!"

"I'll text him." Laci said grabbing her phone from the stand.

Laci- Hey! Are you free tonight?
Tom- Hey yourself:) Yeah. I'm free. What's up?
Laci- Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my place for a pizza party with me and my roommates. You can bring along a friend or two and we can just hang out?
Tom- That sounds like fun:) I'll be there. I got some guys I can bring haha
Laci- :) okay! I was thinking around 530?
Tom- Sounds good.

"He'll be over. I'm sending him the address now."

"Great! This should be fun."

Laci found herself being more nervous than she'd ever been. Sure she'd had dates before, but it had been a long while since then. She finished doing her make up and walked out to the living room. "Is that what you're going to wear?" Carrie asked

"Carrie, there is nothing wrong with what she has on. You look great, Laci." Tiana said

Laci smiled "So Tom said he and his friends Mike and Andre are on their way here."

"Great. I'll order the pizza." Carrie said heading to her room with her phone

"Are you nervous?" Tiana asked, grabbing Laci's hand

Laci nodded, "Yeah a little."

"I'm sure everything is going to go great."

"I hope so!" Laci smiled

"I got three pizzas. That should be enough and we can have leftovers!" Carrie laughed

After a short while, there was a knock at the door. Laci got up to answer it, "Hi." she smiled

"Hey!" Tom smiled "Laci, this is Michael Latta, aka Latts and this is Andre Burakovsky, aka Burky."

"Nice meeting you. Come on in." Laci said leading them inside, "Guys, these are my two best friends and summer roommates, Tiana and Carrie."

"Nice meeting you." Tiana smiled

"Hey. I'm Tom. This is Mike and Andre."

"Hey." Mike said waving before nudging Andre

"Hello." Andre smiled

"Come in and sit down. Pizza should be here soon." Carrie said

Laci and the guys took their seats, "So how do you guys all know each other?" Tiana asked

"We play hockey together." Tom said "For the Capitals."

"The Capitals?" Laci asked, confused

"The NHL team." Mike explained

Carrie's eyes widened "Like professional hockey?"

Tom laughed "Yeah. Are you fans?"

"Not really no..." Laci confessed "We aren't from here."

"Oh? Where are you from?" Mike asked

"Maryland." Tiana replied

"You watch hockey at all?" Andre asked

"The University has a team. Went to a few games." Carrie said "Dated a few players."

Mike laughed "That's cool."

"So are you guys in the off season or something right now?" Laci asked

Tom nodded, "Yeah and we all just kind of decided to stay here this summer."

"Oh? Do you usually go somewhere?" Laci asked

"Back home usually. Canada for Latts and I, Austria for Burky."

"You're from Austria?" Tiana asked

Andre smiled and nodded, "Yeah."

"So you speak German?" Carrie asked

Andre laughed and nodded, "Ja, ich spreche Deutsch. Machst du?"

"Ich kann ein bisschen sprechen. Es dauerte ein Jahr in der Schule." Carrie replied

"Ah! Sehr gut." Andre smiled

"Thanks." Carrie giggled "I don't know much..."

"That's okay."

Tom smiled "So, what brings you to DC?"

"Carrie's uncle owns this place and he occasionally rents it out. So he's letting us rent it for the Summer."

"Why DC?" Mike asked

"The sites." Tiana explained "We wanted to come see The White House, The Washington Monument..."

Tom nodded, "That's awesome. Have you all ever been here before?"

"A few times. We took school trips, but never one on our own." Laci smiled.

The pizza was about done and the second movie had just ended. Tom was helping Laci finish up some of the dishes "Thanks for having us over." Tom said smiling at Laci

"Thanks for coming. Tonight was fun. Your friends are nice."

Tom laughed "Yeah they behaved. So, I was thinking. Do you want to go out to dinner tomorrow? Just the two of us. We really didn't get to talk much tonight."

"Sure. I'd love to." Laci smiled

"Great. I'll text you."

"Okay."

"Well, we should probably get going. Burky, Latts! Let's go! Thanks again for having us."

"No problem." Laci smiled

"Thanks, ladies for the fun evening." Mike said

"Hey, thank-you. Thanks for coming." Tiana said

"It was nice meeting you all." Andre smiled

"Bye." Tom said as he and the other left

"So?" Laci said smiling at the other girls

"He is adorable! He kept smiling at you!" Tiana squealed "Please tell me you have a date with him soon."

"He asked if I can go out tomorrow." Laci smiled

"This is so exciting!!" Tiana exclaimed hugging her

Carrie smiled "That is so awesome, Laci. Just one thing..."

"What's that?" Laci asked

"You should ask him for Andre's number for me!" Carrie laughed
