Knocked Down, Rise Above

The start of the season was near during World Cup of Hockey my best friend since around the time right after I got drafted had been at the games having. Cassie there had been great she had recently lost her job and despite me wanting to help her out wouldn't take any help. After I had won with Canada and before I left to come home to Pittsburgh I finally had convinced her to at least come home with me and stay for a while maybe find a job here. But only for a only for a short while she kept repeating. Doing things on her own is how She had always done things.

I loved that about her but it also drove me nuts when I could so help her out so easily but she always insisted she could handle it all. Least for some time even if it was short she was coming here with me and maybe she let me help her I can only hope.

Sidney had a way of getting me to do things normally I wouldn't do. He been my best friend for what seems like forever and when I lost my job at the end of summer it gave me time to go watch him play for Canada in a World Cup of Hockey. Hockey has been Sid life for all his life I loved watching him play it. To him it wasn't his job it was everything about him, so to see him win World Cup of hockey and make another achievement was amazing. I was so proud of him.

After celebrating and he was getting ready to go back to Pittsburgh for the NHL season he had suggested I come back with him. I knew he was trying to take care of me like he always tried to do and I wouldn't let him cause I wanted to make things on my own not with help. But then he looked at me with those eyes of his and I couldn't say no so I agreed to come with him for a little while.
