Knocked Down, Rise Above

Chapter 2

They finished watching the movie by the end Cassie was totally out Sid carries her up to the room she was using, then made his way to his room He picked out what suit he planned to wear for the the White House visit and got everything he needed for it ready before laying down He fell right to sleep.

He was awake early morning getting a quick shower and dressing he had to be out so early Cassie wasn't up yet and he wasn't going to wake her up He got to the plane where his teammates were and they boarded and took seats Pascal was there for it and was sitting across from Sid says to him “ so Geno said Cassie came back with you”

Sid turned to Geno with a look he knew what pascal was going to start with now

"What I do” Geno says

"G you know what he going to talk about” Sid says Geno just laughs

“Really Sid it's time to just admit it” pascal says "

"How many times do I have to tell you she is my best friend” Sid says frustrated already

“Keep telling yourself that but I seen you both together for years there more than friends there and I hope you realize it cause you two are made for each other” pascal says with a smirk

“He right” Geno says

“Not you too now” Sid says

“Call it as see “ Geno says Sid just shook his head

They arrived at the White House and had a small tour the guys took photos with each other then finally came the ceremony with the president and media after once that was done they were on their way back home Sid stopped on the way home and picked up dinner

“Hey how did it go” Cassie asks him when he walks in

"It was great I got dinner for us” Sid says

“Thanks now tell me all about it” Cassie says as they sit down to eat

"It was pretty amazing to get that kind of honor and get to do it with all the guys” Sid says

“Sounds great I hope you have some photos to show me” Cassie says

"I do oh Pascal was in town for it” Sid says

“How's my fave Canadian” Cassie says

“Hey I thought I was your fave” Sid says

"That gets you every time” Cassie says laughing although pascal was like a big brother to her since she met him

"Great being Duper as usual” Sid says

"Meaning him and G were making fun of you for something what is it this time Captain “ Cassie says laughing

"Just the usual with them but it was good for him to be back I hope he stays around the team” Sid says

"Yeah me too” Cassie says knowing he was like a brother to Sid too him, Geno and Pascal were such great friends They finished dinner and Cassie cleaned up as Sid did a few things in his office The next day Sid would have another practice before the final preseason game he was ready to get this season start defend the cup as captain to his team
