Chapter 33

They had a good night at dinner and went back to the hotel. Sid told Cassie they would have breakfast together before he had to head to morning skate. She smiled about that she hated to be away from him so she was glad she came to Philly

Him and Geno were getting ready to go to bed in their room

“Thanks inviting me to dinner” Geno says

“G you know you're one of my best friends so no problem” Sid says

"Cassie ok with not with you tonight” Geno says

"Truthfully I don't know but it’s a road trip and it something we both need to get used to” Sid says

“Yeah” Geno says

"Yeah “ Sid says

"Long trip but west coast be done then” Geno says

“That's what Cassie said Sid says laughing

“And back in Pittsburgh gotta tell pascal” Geno says

“I am shocked you haven't called him” Sid says laughing

“No could now though” Geno says

"How about after we win in Philly we can call him” Sid says

"That's plan then” Geno says

They got ready for bed and fell asleep, Sid woke up earlier to go to breakfast with Cassie it was just going to be them he was happy to have a few moments just them alone

"You got up early just so we can have breakfast baby that was so sweet” Cassie says as they got seated

"Well you're up early too baby. But it's worth it all for some moments alone with you” Sid says

"I agree baby” Cassie says

“Yeah so after this I am heading to the arena we have morning skate” he says

“Yeah I figured” Cassie says

“Yeah and most likely will do lunch with the guys” Sid says

“That fine I figured it be nice to spend the day with your parents anyways I know you have to deal with all the team stuff” Cassie says

"That sounds perfect to me baby” Sid says as they got their food

“Yeah and when we get back to Pittsburgh you're mom asked me to help her find a few things for that house” Cassie says

“That sounds like fun you know what when doing that look for a new mirror for the bedroom I been meaning to replace the one I broke” Sid says he still hated he broke that mirror and hates the empty spot as it was a reminder

“Are you sure it's your room that you want me to pick it “ Cassie says

"Correction it's our room now that house is as much yours as it's mine now so to answer yes I want you to pick out the new mirror for our room and anything else you want for the house” Sid says

"Wow I still have to get used to all this you saying the house is mine too “ Cassie says


“It is and I meant what I said that day at the arena and I still am getting you a promise ring til ready to ask you” Cassie says

"I told you baby you don't need to do that” Cassie says

“Actually I do for me but also for you with the ring on when things like about that house and stuff we talk about comes up you will have the ring as a reminder this is happening and I am not going anywhere you're stuck with me “ Sid says

“I am ok with that being stuck with you cause you're stuck with me too now baby” Cassie says smiling as they finished breakfast

Sid walks her back up to her room and says

"I will see you for the game before we leave”

“Ok baby I love you” Cassie says

"I love you too baby” Sid says

"Good luck tonight captain” Cassie says

“I don't need luck I have my good luck charm here with me” Sid says kissing her before heading back to his room to leave for the arena

The team had their morning skate and lunch then downtime which most would rest during before the game.

Sid parents and Cassie spend a little time exploring the city and getting lunch before heading back to get ready for the game.
