Chapter 34

Rivalry: Game On

This would be a huge game as it was a big rivalry game for Sid and the team it was the Flyers and they had always been major games with physical play and both teams looking for the win

Cassie has worn an away jersey to match the team as they sat down in their seats before warm ups started a few Flyers fans gave her looks with what she had on. She just watched the ice waiting for the team to come out You know you're in the wrong team” one says

She Ignores them she just wanted to enjoy the game Warm up started and she loved that she came out even if it was Philly.

There were a few more fans that has said stuff under their breath after the teams left that ice before the start of the game one fan says “Hell your Captain a freaking baby falls in practice and gets a concussion says something about him”

Cassie was trying not to say anything but she was ready to almost cry at what they said. They hasn't seen how hard the first time had been on them she has and how this time has been how broken he was over it

"Hey don't listen to them they don't know what they are talking about” Trina says to her

“That's what makes it worse they don't know what hell it was” Cassie says wiping her eyes

“Oh look we made her cry like her fave player does” another says

"Maybe sitting here wasn't a good idea” Trina says

“No it will be fine you two go to the bathroom and get something to drink before game then come back” Troy says

“Ok” Cassie says as she gets up to leave with Trina

Troy says to Trina “Get her a real drink before this game starts either it's helps or she gives it right back to these people but either way it's better than now”

When they leave once they were gone Troy says “you three back there might want to stop before the game starts and have what you're saying thrown back in your face”

"Oh she can't hurt us all she knows how to do it cry and not take being told the truth” one says

"We will see” Troy says smirking he has. Feeling it was going to be a great night

Cassie came back and once the game started and she had a drink in her she was a little better

it was only a few minutes into the first when Sid got an amazing breakaway he passed it to Sheary who passed it back to him at net and he blew it passed the goalie “Oh what were you saying about my captain he just showed your boys how it's done” Cassie says to the three that has been bothering her earlier

Troy was laughing he loved it

They were halfway thru the first when the team got their first power play they used what they were working on earlier and were amazing passing back and forth the last pass was Sid to Geno with Geno rifling it passed for another goal

“Oh look my captain can not only get goals but he can set up amazing plays for his teammates to get goals too how you guys like that huh” Cassie says

"I told them they have to eat their words” Troy says laughing

“I am betting my captain down there gets a hat trick again tonight” Cassie says to them laughing

Oh trust me he won't get another one our team won't let him” one of them says


The first period ended and Cassie says “I am getting another drink”

"I will go get you one” Troy says

“Are you sure” Cassie asks

“Oh yeah” Troy says

The second period started and the first half was physical but neither team had scored yet during the period That's when it happen

Sid got a perfect breakaway he was knew he was going to get the goal as a Flyer was coming after and hooked him taking him down

" God i hate the Flyers” Cassie says seeing him get hooked and start to fall she was worried

As Sid slid on the ice he got his shot off and it went in for another goal he got up getting all his teammates right on him to celebrate

Cassie finally let out the breath she was holding and jumped up and down

As Sid passed where he knew they were sitting he smiled up at Cassie and pointed to his heart to know one he was ok and he loved her Cassie blow as kiss back to him she was so happy and proud

"Aww look she thinks her and the little cry baby have a love affair” one of the fans says

“Where Max when you need him to shhh some damn people” Cassie says

“Oh wish that boy was here he be having fun with this section for sure” Troy says

“I know we need to get him back in Pittsburgh at least” Cassie says

they all missed Max

“Bet we can do that before the end of the season” Troy says

Cassie snaps a photo to post on IG with the caption “In philly and these damn fans won't shut up need some helps from Max!! Then she tagged him in it

During the third period the Flyers has gotten a couple early goals and had evened up the score Cassie was nervous she always was during games but especially close ones like this one was

The Penguins then took a penalty it was Geno with another stick penalty

"God as much as I love that boy he needs to stop taking dumb penalties like that” Troy says

"Don't I know it he taken quite a few this season. Let's just hope we can kill this one and keep it tied” Cassie says

They were able to kill the penalty and there was only a few minutes left in the period when Philly took a penalty putting the Pens on the power play

The guys that were going to be on the power play started to skate to ice Geno says to Sid “time get hat trick”

"G let's just get a goal and win this thing” Sid says

"Ok but you get goal trust me” Geno says as they go to line up

Sid just shook his head at Geno

They won the faceoff and Phil passed it to Geno who passed back to Sid who passed to Sheary who passed back to Geno who passed back to Sid he shot puck at the right time to find a hole and goal

"Told you hat trick” Geno says as he thrown him into the boards celebrating

"Damn you G you should have shot it you set this up” Sid says as he smiles he was excited

"Maybe had to get you get it for Cassie before west coast” Geno says

“Thanks G I owe you” Sid says laughing

“You do “ Geno says

“Well look at that my captain would get the hat trick now we can celebrate beating your asses once again” Cassie says “

You tell them sweetheart but think it's time we head down to the locker room area to make sure to see Sid before the team leaves” Troy says laughing

“Yeah he will want to see you for sure” Trina says

"I can't wait to tell him how proud I am of him” Cassie says as the Flyer fans just looked shocked finally realizing who they were

"And I can't wait to tell him how proud I am of how you handled yourself with them tonight normally I say just be quiet but I loved every minute of it and so will he” Troy says as they head down to celebrate the win and say good bye to Sid before the team left
