Knocked Down, Rise Above

Chapter 3

Sid had practice it was important with the final preseason game the next day and the only one he would get before the regular season started he had left for that.

Cassie in the mean time wanting to help out with things while she said there did some errands that needed done before the regular season started. She picked up some suits of Sid’s that had been cleaned. He always knew she new the right clothes to pick for him so she also got him a few new dress shirts and ties. She had gotten more groceries too for the house.

Cassie got everything taken care of and was back at the house putting stuff away Sid had gotten home he was so happy to finally be playing a game with the team tomorrow even if it was pre season

"Sid I picked up the suits you needed and got u a few new dresses and ties they are in your room” Cassie says to him hearing him come through the house

“Cass you didn't have to do that” Sid says “

"Yes Sidney I did I need to feel like I am doing something plus you have a lot going on this next few days before the first game” Cassie says

"Yeah true” he says “How did practice go” Cassie asks

“Normal practice worked on lots of stuff ready to see how a game goes” Sid says

“Yeah I know that about you practice is one thing, but true game is different” Cassie says smiling at him

“Yeah i just to get a game with my teammates in then I know I am definitely back here” Sid says

"And ready to defend that Stanley Cup right Captain” Cassie says

" Yes ma’ma I am going to get a shower” Sid says

“Ok I am going to make us some dinner then maybe we can watch a little tv “ Cassie says

"That sounds good” Sid says as he goes to take his shower

Cassie finished dinner while Sid was in the shower she made pasta. She has the table set and ready Sid took a long hot shower which he always liked to do after a long day of practice. He finished and got dressed in a tee shirt and shorts he was kind of feeling tired He walked down and says this smells amazing”

It's just pasta with marinria sauce and garlic bread” Cassie says looking at him

“Perfect” Sid says “
Are you ok” Cassie asks

"Yeah why” Sid says as they sit down

"I don't know just something's off” Cassie says knowing for a while “

"Cass I am fine” Sid says "

Sidney” Cassie says again

“I am just tired really and it hit me in the shower” Sid says

“Ok well let's eat and you can go to bed” Cassie says

“No we are going to go in and watch tv” Sid says

“Ok as long as you lay down” Cassie says

"Deal” Sid says as they finish eating

Cassie cleaned stuff up as Sid when to lay down waiting for her to come into watch tv he had picked a show to watch on Netflix Cassie had to smile at what he picked she sat down laying his legs across her Sid was already starting to fall asleep. Cassie figured she let him sleep and hour or two then make sure he went up to his bed
