"Monty! Monty!"

Joseph bursts into the medical room, heavily breathing after the dead sprint he made from the other side of the mansion. He takes a good look around the room.

Scott, in his doctor attire, is standing by the side of the bed, tapping on a tablet he is holding.

Lying in the hospital bed on his back is Brandon, who has his neck down under a blanket. His eyes are closed with no movement and his skin bears a blue tint.

"What happened to him?" Joseph snaps, storming up to Scott.

Scott whirls to him. "He has hypothermia. I don’t know how—Mr. Kossila has the details—" He peers down at his tablet. "—but he is unconscious…"

Joseph gazes down at his roommate, observing his still condition. He turns around and rushes out of the room.

Scott spots that the guest has left, so he halts his speaking and turns back to his tablet.

Joseph then returns to the room with his black jacket under his arms.

Scott notices his return, so he resumes speaking: "…I removed his wet clothes and gave him warm blankets, warm saline fluid, and a heating pad. I am monitoring his breathing…"

Joseph climbs into the bed next to his roommate and gently lays the jacket over his blanket. He then lies down next to him.

Scott scrunches his eyebrows at him. "What are you doing?"

Joseph flicks sharp eyes up at him. "Giving him body heat. Helps with hypothermia."

He then nods his heading understanding. "That’s right." He taps his thumb against the side of the tablet. "What happened with Mr. Tropp—?"

"Ritch is taking care of him," he cuts in. "You can check on him, I got Monty here." He then nods to Brandon.

Kalle instantly hurries into the room, halting next to Scott with a worried expression. "Oh, there you guys are!" He then gasps as he sees the sight of Brandon. "Is Monty alright?"

"He’s unconscious," Joseph states apathetically. "He’ll be fine."

Kalle runs his fingers through his light-coloured hair. "Oh my, oh my, oh my." He drops his hands back to his sides. "Well, I got Dustin—"

"Did you give him what he deserves?" Joseph narrows his eyes at the thought of the goalie.

"Nick took him," the Finn tells him. "He told me to."

"Good." Joseph nods. "That’s good enough."

Then the deep, dull doorbell is heard echoing through the mansion: Ding-dong…!

"Someone’s at the door," Scott announces. "I’ll be back!" He hands Joseph the tablet, pulls off his stethoscope and coat lab, placing them on the countertop, then exits the room.

With the tablet in his hands, Joseph makes an irritated expression at Kalle. "Who the heck would be at the door at this time?"

Kalle pulls out his phone and wakes it up, glancing at the time. "It’s only six o’clock." He slips it back in his pants’ pocket.

Joseph rolls his eyes. "Gosh, I thought it was midnight."

Two new guests into the room with fret; Scott stays behind standing in the doorway:

"Monty!" Matt exclaims with terror as he rushes up to his bedside; Ryan follows him. "Oh no—" He places his hands on his cheeks. "—is he going to be okay?"

"Yes," Joseph affirms, placing a hand on Brandon’s blanket-covered shoulder. "He’ll be."

"Is there anything we can do to help?" Ryan asks with his hands clasped in front of him.

"Yeah: Give the Terrible T’s what they deserve." A scowl overcomes his face.

Kalle peers down at him. "Tropp and Tokarski?"

"Yes. Them."

Matt’s eyes fly open. "They’re both here?"

Joseph flicks his stern eyes at the goalie. "Yes. And they’re cahoots with each other."

The two goalie buddies stand in silence as they process what their teammate just revealed to them.

Ryan turns to Matt and mutters, "How could we defeat them…?"

Matt’s eyes immediately light up. "I think I got it!" He whirls to face him. "But we have to merge for this!"

"What is it?"

Matt throws his arms in the air. "Memory Erasure!"

A smirk forms on Ryan’s face. "Splendid idea, there! That’s my boy!" He pats his head.

"Good!" Kalle exclaims to the two. "They’re upstairs with Nick!" He then turns to Scott, who is standing by the doorway. "Scott, take Ryan and Matt to Nick, please!"

Scott nods his head. "Right away, sir." He then turns around and ambles through the doorway and out of view.

The two goalies quickly follow him, also exiting the room.

Now it is just Joseph and Kalle in the medical room once again with the unconscious Brandon. Silence settles in the room.

Kalle then gazes at the position Joseph is in with his roommate. "How long are you gonna stay there for?"

Joseph lifts his eyes up at him from Brandon. "Until he’s alright."

"Wow…" Kalle raises his eyebrows with admiration. "…that could be for a really long time."

"I’m not gonna leave his side." Joseph lowers his eyes back down to his still roommate. "He’s done so much for me. He taught me to be more accepting, more forgiving. He gave me second chances, heck" —he rolls his eyes— "even third chances. He deserves my time. He gave me his."

"Aw…" Kalle makes a crumpled smile with slanted eyebrows. "…that’s so sweet."

"Monty’s a sweet guy," Joseph adds in matter-of-factly to Brandon.

"No, your speech."

Joseph turns to him. "Oh," he says flatly. "That was nothing."

Kalle brushes his fingers through his hair. "Do you want me to bring anything?"

Joseph shakes his head. "Not now. I’ll ring you if I need you." He holds the tablet in the air.

Kalle nods his head. "Okay. I’ll check on the others." He then turns around and strides out of the room, leaving the two roommates behind.
