AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures!

"Trapped!"

Bryan’s Panther receiver receives the ball. Bryan decides to go for it.

With a press of a button, the Panther exits the end zone and starts charging down the field. After a small chase, the Panther is brought down at the forty-five yard line in the Minnesota Vikings’ territory, which is Stu’s team.

“Geez, Pickle Stew, took you long enough to grab me!” Bryan points out with a roll of his eyes.

Stu flashes a smile at him. “Not a touchdown though!”

Bryan returns him a massive grin. “Will be soon!”

From the other side of the glass wall, Brandon is being led by an invisible force according to his point of view onto the field. He is decked in football gear from the cleats to helmet, displaying the Panthers’ blue, white, gray, and black colours.

"Ohhh maaan," Brandon mutters under his breath, staring out at the pixelated scenery. "I’m at a football game. I’m playing a football game." He is then stopped at the forty-five yard line, right behind the digital centre. "I’m the quarterback." He peers out at the electronic Vikings’ defensive line that are staring down at him in their formation. "Yikes."

Then the centre snaps the ball.

The invisible force takes control of Brandon and guides him to grab the football, pick out a wide receiver down the field, and throw a perfect spiral to him. He then stands still as he watches the wide receiver run the ball down for the first down with extra yardage.

The receiver is then tackled down at the thirty-two hard line.

Brandon lifts his eyebrows in surprise before being led down the field. "Wow, I’m good!"

"Woooooo!!!" From the living room, Bryan pumps his fist in the air. "Let’s go, baby! Another first down!"

Behind the sofa, Joseph his holding his breath with his hands clutching onto the top edge of the sofa.

The ball is snapped once again and Brandon is conducted to hand it off to the halfback. The halfback runs past Brandon, weaves through the crowd at the line of scrimmage, and bursts out into the clear field, skipping into the end zone.

He then drops the ball, does a bow, and begins to boogie as a way of celebration.

Bryan hops to his feet and begins doing his own celebration, which comprises of a chant: "Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Who got the touchdown? Who got the touchdown? Who? Who?" He points to his chest with his thumb. "This guy did!!!" He then throws both of his hands into the air. "WOOO!!!"

From the other side of the screen, Brandon witnesses Bryan’s celebration. “I actually did…," he mumbles to himself.

"Awesome job, Mooresy!" Stu lifts his hand to him and high-fives him.

From behind the two buddies, Joseph rolls his eyes.

Bryan plops himself on the sofa and quickly kicks the extra point. "Extra point! Seven to zerooo!"

Nick lifts himself to his feet with a sigh. "I’ll go get the chips and dip." He then lumbers off toward the kitchen.

Bryan turns to his best friend with a cocky smirk. "Alright, Stu, time for you to get the kickoff! But hint—" He throws his index finger into the air. "—don’t make a touchdown!"

Then they both turn back to the screen: Bryan launches the kickoff. Stu’s receiver catches it at the ten yard line.

"Ack! No! I can’t take a knee!" Stu then scrambles to get the receiver to run through the charging Panthers players, but it is too late: Bryan’s guys tackle the Viking to the ground, causing him to fumble the ball.

"Fumble! Fumble!"

Bryan immediately controls his Panther to snag the ball and leads him quickly to the nearest end zone, which is his.

"OHHH!!!" Bryan jumps to his feet with both hands in the air. He then blasts into his chant once again: "Oh yeah! Oh yeah! Who got the touchdown? Who got the touchdown? Who? Who?" He points to himself. "This guy did!!! WOOO!!!"

"We all know, congrats," Joseph comments from behind apathetically.

Bryan places his controller on the sofa and spins around to face him, flashing him an arch expression. "I bet you have a little chant of your own."

Joseph stares down at him with crossed arms. "No, I don’t. That’s stupid."

"He just stands up and soaks up the glory," Nick tells him from the kitchen.

Joseph nods to Nick’s direction. "Yeah."

"That’s the lamest celebration ever!" Bryan tells him. "Laaame!"

"Bryan, the field goal unit is on…!" Stu swishes his eyes tentatively from the screen to his friend.

"Oh, yes!" Bryan sits back down on the sofa and grabs his controller with his attention fully on the game. "Time for the extra point!" With a press of a button, the extra point is made. "Ping! Into the net, fourteen to zero!" He then turns to Stu with a fake, sweet smile. "Okay, your turn, Stu!"

The kickoff is set into motion and Stu’s receiver receives the ball at the fifteen yard line. Stu then calmly and skillfully guides his receiver down the field, threading him through the crowd of defenders. Then he reaches the clearing at the other end of the field and rushes into the end zone.

Following is the successful extra point.

Stu eyes his best friend with a growing smirk. "Fourteen to seven, Bryan…!"

"I’m still the winner winner, chicken dinner!" Bryan sing-songs cockily.

Then they turn back to the screen as the kickoff happens. Bryan’s Panther receiver grabs the ball at the end zone.

"I’m going for it." Bryan then begins weaving the receiver through the crowd with determination. Yet, Stu guides the Vikings to bring the Panther at his own thirty yard line.

"No!" Bryan slaps his control against his lap, gawking at the screen. "That was bad! Awful!"

"Like your chant," Joseph adds in.

Bryan glares at him from behind his shoulder. "You wish your chant was half as good as my chant—"

"I don’t even have a chant—"

"Bryan, your team is on," Stu tells him, nudging his shoulder.

"Oh yes!" Bryan whirls back to face the screen. He catches a zoomed-in sight of Brandon the Panthers’ quarterback walking to the field. "I’m not kidding, my quarterback looks a whole lot like Monty."

Nick shuffles back into the living room, parking himself next to Joseph. "Oh, that’s because he’s—"

"Chip," Joseph cuts in.

Nick raises his eyebrows at him. "What?"

Joseph snags a chip from Nick’s bowl of chips and stuffs it in his roommate’s mouth. Nick accepts the unexpected feeding session from his roommate and consumes it.

Bryan is peering at them from behind his shoulder. "Monty is what?"

Nick swallows. "He’s stuck—"

"—in his room," Joseph cuts into Nick’s sentence once again.

Nick slightly gapes at his roommate. "No—"

"Yes—"

"Cram Cram, let Ritch boy finish!" Bryan cries out. "Geez!"

Joseph seizes Nick’s arm harshly. "Come with me," he murmurs lowly to him.

Before Nick could even object, he is dragged around the circle of living room furniture, through the foyer, and down the hallway.

From the television screen, Brandon spots them exiting the living room. He gapes at them with trepidation. "Oh no, no, no, guys…!"
