AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures!

"Down Here, Up Here!"

Meanwhile in another county much further inland, Brandon and Nick are strolling out of Poway Ice, the Gulls’ practice facility, and into the players’ lot. Next to them is one of the team’s goalies, Matt Hackett.

“Well, tell Crammer that I hope he gets better!” Matt calls out to them as he begins to depart from them.

“Thanks!” Brandon tells him with a nod. “I’ll tell him that!”

Suddenly, a short fangirl with dark brown hair and a large smile appears next to Brandon. She waves to him with a giggle. “Hiii!!!”

Nick turns to her with a kiddish smile. “Hi…!”

The fangirl stares at him with fright. “Uhhh…” She scoots away from him before speeding back into the building.

Brandon shakes off that awkward moment and continues strolling with his best friend. “At least Coach bought that Joey’s sick.”

They arrive at Brandon’s Jeep and get into the vehicle in unison: Brandon takes the driver’s seat as Nick takes the passenger seat.

“Yeah. Practice went well without him,” Nick tells him as he pulls his seat belt across his massive body.

Brandon lets out a sigh of relief. “Thankfully!” He whips out his keys and puts them into the ignition.” At least we’ll know that Joey wouldn’t blow up the house in the state he’s in. He was mad when we left him.” He turns on the car and pulls out of the parking space.

“Yeah…”

Brandon leads the Jeep around the building and to the exit. He then makes the turn into the road and drives upward.

“But how can he turn back to normal?” Brandon continues on with his eyes glued on the road.

“I dunno,” Nick replies dully.

Brandon lets out a huff as he makes a right turn. “We’ve got to find a way…something that would make him grow back to normal…something that represents something big…or normal.

The Jeeps rolls down a long strip of road. Brandon then leads it to merge right to get on the freeway.

“Because I mean,” Brandon continues on, “if we can’t get him back to his normal size, Coach will find out sooner or later!”

He then guides the Jeep off the freeway and into the bustling, small town of Del Mar. He then makes a turn to enter one of its residential parts.

“I mean,” Brandon says, “imagine me explaining to Coach that he’s smaller than a pepper shaker!”

From his passenger side, Nick is gaping ahead.

“Coach will NEVER believe me. And then I think he’d have nightmares for the rest of his life if he actually sees Joey—”

“Monty.” Nick nudges his arm with his eyes glued ahead. “Monty.”

Brandon brakes toward the right side of the road and whirls his head to him. “What?” He then turns to face what his best friend is gazing. He also gapes ahead.

Up ahead, the back fence of the Monarossabergie House is blown off with dug-up grass and a massive hole ripped into the side of the house.

“What...the heck…?” Brandon squeaks out with massive eyes.

He immediately turns off the car, throws off his seatbelt aside, and bursts out of the car. He rushes down the sidewalk and skids in front of his house; Nick follows behind him with his same humdrum ambling.

“Joey! Joey!” Brandon then darts up the house’s yard and bolts into the side yard, which is more like the backyard of the house.

Nick gasps from behind him. “Bigfoot!”

Brandon turns to him with a bewildered expression. “Bigfoot?”

Nick points toward the ground. Brandon follows his finger’s direction with his eyes. It is clear as daylight: They are standing inside a two inch deep hole with the length of a tour bus. And that hole has the shape of a footprint.

“Uhhhh…” Brandon stares down at the giant imprint with rising shock. “I have a thought of what happened.” He perks at Nick with a grimace. “But please tell me I’m wrong.”

“There’s just one way to find out…” Nick steps out of the footprint and strolls toward the other massive footprint that is a few yards away from the first one.

Brandon lets out a groan. “Nicky, I think Joey is still inside…” He turns around and sprints into the half-destroyed house.

With the sight of the demolished part of the house, he quickly turns around and jogs back outside.

“Yeah, I’ll just follow you…” He follows his best friend down the trail of the mammoth footprints, wondering where they are going to lead them to...
