AAOOOSC!: Gulls' Adventures!

"I Am Monty Muffins!"

An hour later, the Jeep speeds up the freeway as Brandon is heard chanting softly: “Muffins, muffins, muffins, muffins…!”

Right behind the Jeep is Jasmine’s black car.

“Let’s hope we can get a better close up of Monty!” she is heard exclaiming to her viewers.

The Monarossabergie House is still and silent until its residents burst inside.

“Muffins!!!” Brandon shouts as he throws the front door open. He then speeds off into the living room.

Joseph steps into the house with his hair disheveled. “Ugh.” He blows a strand of hair away from his face.

Nick comes in from behind him. “I’m gonna go to bed. Good night.” He then trudges off in the opposite direction from Brandon’s direction, going down the hallway.

Joseph stares solemnly at his roommate as he enters his bedroom, slipping out of sight. “Oh okay, thanks.”

Jasmine then pops up from behind Joseph and glides in between him and the doorjamb to enter the house. She raises her phone out in front of her to give her viewers a good view of the Monarossabergie House.

“And here it is, the house where Monty Muffins lives in—”

Joseph steps in front of the camera and barks, “OUT.”

Jasmine reverts the phone at Joseph’s scowl. “Oh look, it’s Cramarossa.”

“OUT. NOW.” He then spins her away and shoves her out of the house before slamming the door on her.

Jasmine gawks at the black surface of the front door. “Rude!” She lifts her phone back up to talk to her viewers.

“Well, let’s take the tour of the front yard, shall we?” She then twirls around and skips down the steps of the porch.

Back inside the house, Brandon is running around the living room with one muffin in each of his hands, pretending that they are toy airplanes.

“Vrrrrrr!!!! Vrrrrr!!! Vrrrrr!!!”

Joseph grabs a few items from the refrigerator and cabinets and plops them on the countertop. He then calls out to Brandon: “Monty, it’s time to eat.”

Brandon halts his play and peers ahead at him. “Food?”

He holds up a bag of spinach. “Real food.”

Brandon’s face immediately drops. “Noooooooo…!”

“Then you’ll have your food,” he cuts in as the grand save.

Brandon’s eyes instantly light up. “Yay!!!” He rushes over to the countertop and climbs onto the bar stool that is directly across from his roommate.

Joseph shakes the spinach leaves into the bowl.

Brandon makes an interested expression; he mindlessly lets go of his muffins, letting them sit on the countertop.

Joseph then exchanges the spinach bag for the bag of lettuce.

Brandon silently sits in awe as he watches Joseph create his salad.

After an addition of tomatoes, onion, red cabbage, and mushrooms, Joseph puts a fork inside the bowl. “Here.” He pushes the bowl of greens in front of him.

Brandon peers down at the bowl’s contents with a disgusted expression. “Ewwwww!” He scrunches up his nose with his tongue sticking out. “What’s this?!”

“It’s the healthiest thing there is,” he tells him flatly.

Brandon takes the fork and begins warily poking at the leaves inside the bowl.

Joseph frowns at his actions. “Eat it.”

Brandon quickly shoves a forkful of leaves in his mouth. He chews slowly with wide eyes.

Joseph walks away from the countertop. A few moments later, he comes back with a bowl of pasta. He sets the bowl down and takes a forkful of the Italian goodness.

Brandon leans forward to take a good look at what his roommate is eating. “What is—?”

Joseph points his fork at him. “Eat your food.”

Brandon returns to his bowl of salad and takes another bite out of it.

Joseph is chewing as he has a stern, unwavering gaze at his roommate. He does not lose sight of his lunching roommate, making sure he eats every bit of his salad.

Brandon does not make eye contact with him; his attention is on the salad bowl as he engulfs it for enjoyment or for his own sake.

Joseph continues having his eyes locked on Brandon.

Brandon then lifts his head up from the bowl. He catches sight of his roommate unbreakable stare. He knits his eyebrows with wide eyes and a frown. “Um, why are you staring at me?” he asks in his regular voice.

“So that you won’t go running out on me to eat your food,” he tells him lowly, not breaking his fixed look.

He begins turning away from him, not tearing his eyes from him. “This is my food…”

“Good.”

Joseph breaks his stare and the two of them resume eating their own bowl of food.

Brandon then peers up from his bowl and peers behind his shoulder. Confusion crosses his face as he spots numerous muffins planted on the furniture in the living room. “Why are there muffins around the house?”

Joseph lifts his eyes from his bowl of pasta. “Because you put them there yourself.”

“I did?” He spins around to face him. “I can’t even have muffins— They’re not part of my diet.”

Joseph then drops his fork into his bowl and lifts his arms up as he gazes up, soaking in the glory.

He eyes him. “Joey?”

Joseph drops his arms and reverts his gaze at him. “Good to have you back, Monty.” He reaches over and pats his shoulder.

He scrunches his eyebrows. “Where did I go…?”

Joseph folds his arms on the countertop and leans over them. “To cuckoo land. With muffins. And sugar packets.” He pauses his explanation as an idea pops into his mind. “I should get rid of those—”

“Which sugar packets?”

Joseph pushes himself from the countertop and ambles to the other side of the kitchen. He opens up the cabinet and pulls out a small, opened cardboard box stuffed with sugar packets. He shakes it in the air to grab his attention.

Brandon gawks at what he is holding. “Wait, but those are my substitute sweetener for my coffee—!”

“Not anymore.” Joseph then breezes past Brandon and strides across the dining room and living room to get to the foyer.

Joseph opens the front door and steps outside, looking out at the front yard. He immediately spots Jasmine holding out her phone toward the house from the entrance of the front yard. He storms down the porch’s steps toward her.

“And here are the flowers that are in—”

Joseph halts in front of her, blocking the camera’s view with his body, and makes sharp eye contact with her. “Get out of here.”

Jasmine flips the camera around to show herself. “Guys, I’m getting kicked out for the third time by Cramarossa.”

From behind Joseph, the front door opens and Brandon strolls out onto the patio. “Joey, why is the sugar being thrown away?!” he calls out to him.

Jasmine quickly catches sight of her one and only; hearts immediately begin pulsing from her. “MONTY MUFFINS!!!” She holds her phone out at him to show her viewers.

Brandon’s eyes widen at the sight of the fangirl. “Oh shoot!” He throws himself back inside the house and slams the door behind him.

Jasmine lets out a huff with a frown, unhappy that her favourite just ran away from her. She peers up at Joseph.

Joseph nods his head toward the street, signalling her to leave.

With a sigh, Jasmine lifts the phone back to her eye level. “Tomorrow we’ll see if they wake up on the right side of bed!”

She then prances out of the Monarossabergie House’s property and down the sidewalk, where her car is parked nearby.

Once Joseph witnesses Jasmine driving away and disappearing from view, he heads to the trashcans situated by the driveway to toss, tosses the box away, then strolls back into the house.

Brandon is back sitting by the countertop. He follows his roommate with his eyes as he strides back into the house.

“Why did you—?”

Joseph halts next to him with a menacing glare at him. “One word: Icemare.”

Realization crosses Brandon’s face; he nods. “Gotcha.”

Joseph then rounds the countertop and halts in front of his pasta bowl. He nods to the muffins that are next to his roommate. “Want a muffin?”

Brandon peers down at the pastries with a frown. “I can’t even have 'em—”

“Good.” Joseph then takes in another forkful of pasta, a victorious forkful for solving yet another curse from Icemare.

The End.
