Give me love like never before

"Offside! OFFSIDE!" I screamed in the AAC that night in early June.

I was watching the Stars take on the Lightening in the 7th game. Yup. The Stars were close to being Staley Cup Champions if we could hold it together for the last ten minutes of play.

"High stick!" I yelled pointing to where Spezza was doubled over on the ice and the refs were crowded around talking to the players.

"Come on!" I yelled along with several people in the crowd with me, "Put him in the box!"

I sat back down and heard laughter, I looked to my left and saw Jamie's fiancée Katie looking at me with a grin, with the rest of Ty's family and Jamie's family sitting around us.

"What?" I asked with a small laugh.

"You're a hockey mom without being a mom," she said.

I laughed and saw Stamkos skate over to the box to sit for two minutes, "There we go!" I said clapping, "PPG boys! Come on Ty!"

"Meeting you just after you and Ty got together...to you now...I'm shook," she said.

I smiled and shrugged, "Listen, you know what its like. Me living with Tyler and watching several games on TV or live...you either learn what's up, or you look like a dope."

Tyler and I had been together for a year and a half and living together almost as long. I would be lying if I said it was always easy. It was hard with him being gone so much, but he was doing what he loved, and he did make me proud every time I saw him on the ice. But I was still so in love with him, that whenever he would come back home nothing else ever mattered.

She laughed and nodded, "I agree! If you didn't know what he was talking about Tyler would drive you insane!"

"Exactly!" I said smiling, "Oh boy, here we go!" I shouted, "Come on Ty!" I said, watching as Tyler has possession of the puck in the offensive zone, he had a couple of the Lightening on him. But Jamie didn't.

"Pass it!" I screamed, jumping up along with several people around us, "Pass to Jamie!"

Tyler passed it to his left to where it landed perfectly on Jamie's stick, Jamie shot but it was blocked. But their goalie didn't cover it so the play was still going in; Tyler picked up the rebound and went 5-hole, taking the Stars up 3-1 with only four minutes left in the third period.

I screamed and hugged Katie next to me before turning and looking at the glass, looking as Tyler celebrated at the glass with the boys on the ice. He looked up at me and we made eye contact. I made a heart with my hands and continued to cheer and scream for him, which only caused him to smile even larger at me. I continued to clap as Tyler went along the bench to fist pump with everyone before he went and took a seat on the bench.

"Oh my God, I'm too nervous," I groaned, managing to get my feet up on the chair and wrapping me arms around my legs as the time continued to slip away.

I didn't feel like I could breathe again until there were ten seconds left on the clock. Katie and I along with the fans all began jumping up from our seats and screaming. We were going to do it. We were going to win the Cup!

5. 4. 3. 2. 1. The buzzer went off signaling the end of the game. I looked to Katie and we both were screaming like there was no tomorrow. We took each other’s hands and began jumping up and down. I turned to Tyler's parents and they grabbed me into a tight group hug that I happily returned and then turned to Tyler's sisters Cassidy and Candace and hugged them as well as we all screamed and cheered with the home crowd.

"Let's go!" Katie yelled as me and the girls pulled apart.

She took my hand and pulled me behind her as I grabbed onto Cassidy, Katie was on the hunt to find Jeremy, one of the security guards. We got to the end of the aisle just as he did and he ushered us to follow him quickly to get down to the ice in time to watch the guys hoist the Cup.

We were allowed to be out on the ice as the Cup was given to Jamie who was smiling so brightly as he took a couple laps holding it up and cheering with everyone. I had my phone out taking some videos. Jamie then went and passed it on the Tyler where they spoke quickly and they both laughed before Tyler lifted it up in the air and skated around. He passed it to Spezza before him and Jamie came over to where me, Katie and the families were waiting.

I put my phone into my pocket and smiled at Tyler as he skated up to me.

I threw my arms around his neck and held him tightly, "Congratulations, baby!" I said, feeling myself becoming emotional.

"Thank-you! God, I can't believe it," he said quietly.

I smiled and rubbed his back, "God I love you so much," I said, pulling away from him.

He brought his forehead down to mine and kissed me, "I love you too, baby!" he said as we pulled apart,

I smiled and leaned up, giving him another quick peck, "See your family," I urged him, he smiled back at me and went next to me to where his parents and sisters were where they all shared hugs and words and a lot of smiles.

Tyler was just glowing. He couldn't wipe that smile from his face if he tried. He looked so happy. I was so proud of him; he had been giving everything he could during the entire Playoff run, but especially in the finals against Tampa. Katie, me and some of the other WAGs had been to every game, Home and Away during the whole Playoffs, but I hadn't seen a game as electric as game 7.

Seeing Tyler fulfill something that he wanted so badly gave me such a sense of joy. He was living his dream and that made me so happy, and so blessed that I was able to experience everything with him along the way.

He looked back at me and smiled, making his way back to me, "Thank-you for sticking with me through this...I know it got crazy sometimes but-"

"Hey," I cut him off, "I'm so proud of you, Tyler. You don't have to thank me, baby. There is no other place I would rather be then here watchin you win the Cup. Or playin hockey in general. I loved every second of watchin you, Ty! So thank-you for letting me watch you!"

He leaned his forehead against mine once again, "I want you by my side the whole way through this...through everything."

I smiled up at him, "Then that's right where I'm gonna be, Ty!"

He smiled at me and leaned down quickly to press a short kiss to my lips before Jackie, Ty's mom, spoke to us.

"Do you guys want a photo with the Cup?" she asked us.

We broke apart and looked to her with Tyler nodding as Jamie brought the Cup over to us and set it down in front of me and Tyler. Tyler placed his arm around my waist, as did I around his, and we smiled as Jackie took some photos of us, and then we had photos of all of us with the Cup before Bishop came over wanting photos.

We stood out there on the ice for a while after the fans filtered out, and then the guys started taking team photos with the Cup, so Katie and I stood together watching.

"You ready for a busy fucking summer?" she asked me.

I looked over at her and saw that she had a soft smile on her face as she kept her eyes on Jamie.

I smiled and looked back to the guys too, seeing Jamie and Tyler laughing and smiling as they posed with the Cup.

"I'm ready for it," I said simply and Tyler looked to me and sent me a huge smile. I smiled back to him and knew that I was completely ready for one of the craziest summers ever.
