21-year-old William Nylander had the whole world ahead of him. He currently plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and had a season to remember, he won a national championship with his home country of Sweden, and had a beautiful girlfriend in Natalia. However, away from the ice, William has been struggling. Just after the Maple Leafs lost to the Washington Capitals in the 2017 NHL Playoffs, Natalia was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. It devastated him, but he also wanted to make her days as special as possible.

It's the middle of July, 2017. William and Natalia, after receiving permission from the doctors, were in his home country of Sweden visiting his family before her first round of treatment at the end of the month back in Toronto. It was so hard on him and he tried to remain positive for her, but it pained him on the inside.

William and Natalia were sitting in side-by-side lawn chairs in his parents' backyard, overlooking the water. He reached over and held her hand, "How are you feeling baby?"

"I'm okay, just really tired. The preliminary medication makes me feel so weak and exhausted," Natalia replied.

Camilla, William's mother, came by with a tray, "Here's some fruit punch and some tea sandwiches. I hope this is okay for you, dear."

"Absolutely. Thank you so much, Camilla. But I don't need any special love," Natalia said.

Camilla looked her dead in the eyes, "Sweetie, you're family. You've been with William since you were nineteen. We love you very much."

William squeezed his girlfriend's hand, "We all do love you, babe. We will help you fight this."

"I appreciate all your love and support so much. It means the world," Camilla softly smiled.

Daniella, William's 11-year-old sister, came over to them, "I made you this card and everyone in my class signed it."

"Thank you sweetie. I love this," Camilla said, hugging her boyfriend's youngest sibling.

Later that night, everyone tucked into bed early for a long day at a Midsommar party being held in central Stockholm. Natalia was laying in her and William's bed, rubbing some peach scented lotion on her arms and legs prior to going to sleep. She looked at her forearm and sighed at the three small needle marks from her last round of bloodwork before flying out.

William came in from the bathroom and got under the covers next to his girlfriend, "Are you alright?"

"I just hate seeing those marks. I hate that I have this disease. It was hard enough losing my favorite uncle back in March to kidney failure, and now this. It breaks my heart babe," Natalia sobbed.

"You are going to defeat this. You have a very strong immune system. I know you're going to be just fine. We all love you and believe in you," William reassured.

Natalia sighed, "I just want to enjoy my Swedish vacation without having to worry about this shit until the plane ride back to Toronto."

"Well, then, why don't we? I think I know what to do," William said.

"What's that?" Natalia scoffed. She wasn't mad at him, she just had a lot on her mind.

William began to kiss her neck, "Let me make love to you. You always love when I am pleasuring you. Everyone's asleep."

"You know I love that, but it's going to be hard not to scream because you find my g-spot pretty quick. Fuck, babe, stop seducing me," Natalia playfully joked.

William climbed on top of her, kissing her neck and getting her ready for one memorable night in northern Sweden.
