One-Shot Stories

Breanna was living every Dallas Stars' fan dream. She was married to one of the team's biggest goal producers in Jamie Benn, they made their home in a gorgeous mansion about twenty minutes from the hockey arena, and they were just enjoying life. However, a bunch of the Stars' wives and girlfriends were not too keen on Breanna. One of them even called her a spoiled daddy's girl because her father is part owner of the team and he introduced her to Jamie four years ago, following her 21st birthday.

The 2017-18 NHL season would be kicking off in just ten days and everyone was ready for a new journey, more craziness, and of course, one goal in mind which is to hoist Lord Stanley's cup. Breanna and Jamie were at a high-end steakhouse at the Omni Dallas hotel, double dating with Tyler Seguin and his girlfriend Ali ahead of tomorrow's team dinner.

While the guys used the bathroom, the girls chatted up a bit and enjoyed their drinks prior to the appetizers coming out.

"Girl, can I ask you a question?" Breanna asked, playing with the straw in her vodka-cranberry juice cocktail.

Ali looked up from her phone, "Of course you can. What's on your mind buttercup?" She placed it on vibrate so no one bothered them.

Breanna sighed, "Why don't any of the wives like me? Like Abby Sharp. She thinks I'm such a skank for dating Jamie because of my dad and when I announced our engagement, she was so pissed off."

"Abby's just one of those women who thinks the world revolves around her and her only. I'm your best friend. Don't worry. If they have the nerve to say shit, I'll deal with them. You have everything you could have ever wanted," Ali reassured.

Breanna half smiled, "Thanks Ali. You're really the best, best friend a girl could want."

"I know, and you are too. Everything's fine," Ali said.

The men came back to the table and sat with their women. Jamie smiled at his wife of a little over a year, kissing her cheek, "I love you so much."

"I love you too baby," Breanna smiled.

The couples enjoyed a much needed and fun night out, because tomorrow, is when hell would begin to break loose!
