It all started in Dallas

You woke up and didn’t see Sid on the couch but you heard the shower runnin, you noticed that you had a blanket on and that your shoes were off. You texted Jake to let him know you were okay
You: Hey I’m good, should be omw in a bit
Jake: Well goood mornin sunshine, someone have fun ;)
You: lol nothin happened
Jake: I know just teasin you
Don’t forget about the tix
Sid came out of the shower and he instantly smiled when he saw that you were up
“Good morning, how’d you sleep?” he asked as he dried his hair
“Not bad, thanks for the blanket, I gotta get goin soon”
“Work?”
“Yea, it’s my Friday today, so did anyone reply for the movies?”
“Oh yeah everyone’s in, I’ll let them know to bring cash so they can pay Jake back”
You first went to the bathroom to use mouthwash and then gathered your stuff to go back home to get ready for work.
“I had a wonderful time having you here (Y/N)” Sid said sincerely
“I did too Sidney, thanks for dinner and all”
You were about to leave when Sid gave you a kiss goodbye “be safe at work” he said.
“I will” you smiled.
On your way back you let Jake know about the team wantin to go, Jake was gettin ready for work as well as you two finally headed out to work.

Calls were pretty slow on Wednesday nights, as it was durin the weekday. Jake and you were patrollin around the city, Sid and you textin throughout the day, he had optional practice but of course chose to go. You thought about what Sid had asked you about you killin anyone, you were hopin it would never get to that but knew in your career it was bound to. You and Jake were talkin about it, you guys had most of your serious conversations while patrollin, when Jake then turned the conversation to your love lives. Jake was single but he wasn’t the kind of guy to bring girls back home, in fact since you’ve known him he’s only dated a girl but she was only there because he was a cop. You knew he’d make any girl lucky to have him and that he too deserved the best. You guys were hittin halfway through your shift when you knew you had to refuel with caffeine. You guys headed into Starbucks, of course this he’d choose this one. Jake had a huge crush on a girl that worked here but never got the courage to talk to her. You can also tell that she felt the same about Jake, she always blushed when he would talk to her. You loved teasin him about it but this time you’ve had enough, you knew you’d have to take matters into your own hands.
“Hi welcome, how are you guys doing?” She said.
“UHmm well” Jake stuttered a bit
“Doin great how about yourself?” you asked her
“Not too bad, today’s my Friday so I’m excited about that haha”
“No way ours too!” you said, as Jake stood there tryin to talk but didn’t know how all of a sudden.
“You know I used to work at a Starbucks back home” you said, “I know how it feels about havin weird schedules”
“Oh gosh yes, especially if your friends have normal ones, when you’re off they’re working and when you’re working, they’re off it sucks haha, I have tomorrow and Friday off but no one to hangout with becauseeee they’re working” she said “sorry I’m talking too much”
“No no you’re good, you know my partner and I are goin to the midnight premiere of Justice League 2 tomorrow night, he has an extra ticket but no one to take, would you like to go with us?” you asked her as you could feel Jake’s gaze at you like what the hell are you doin.
“Yeah that would be fun!” she said excitingly as she stared at Jake
“Sweet, well here’s his card, so you can let him know if you’d like to come” you said as you handed her Jake’s card.
“Thanks! I will” she replied as she then took your order and headed back to talkin to y’all.
You guys got your coffee and headed on out.
“What was that?!?!” Jake asked you in disbelief
“Uhhh I’m helpin you out buddy” you said defensively
“I can handle it”
“What’s your problem? Like you were goin to do anythin anyways you should be thankin me”
“Mhmm”
After that you guys were pretty much quiet the entire shift besides calls that you received.
The next day you woke up past noon, you got up and headed towards the gym for a small workout. Sid had texted you askin if he’d pick you up but you decided you’d pick him up this time.
You dressed up casual with your burgundy Wonder Woman shirt but did put a little more effort on your makeup, wearin eyeliner and red lipstick this time.
You headed out on your own as Jake left to go pick up the girl from the Starbucks. Jake had been quiet since last night but you knew he’d talk to you about it when he was ready. You knew you stepped out of line a bit but you didn’t think he’d get mad.
As you were headin to Sid’s you saw how beautiful the sun was settin throughout the city, causin you to think about where in life you’ve ended up. You were happy for sure but scared of things not goin well between you and Sid.
You arrived at Sid’s as you were waitin for him to get in your truck, Casey was textin you about Jake.
“Hey! How are you? You look amazing” Sid said as he climbed in givin you a kiss on the lips
“Good, just had a small disagreement with Jake” you said as you explained what happened, Sid agreed that you were a little out of line but not enough for Jake to not talk to you.
As you guys arrived at the movies the boys and you took a pic as you had all worn your favorite DC characters shirt. You were very excited about the movie with Sid teasin you about it because you were like a kid in a candy store.
You guys got snacks and headed towards the theatre when you were surprised to feel Sid grab your hand. You turned to him and smiled while you pulled him closer. The only thing in the back of your mind was why he hasn’t asked you to be his girlfriend.
“Looks like we’re finally gettin a mom” said Patric crackin up
“Well soon (Y/N) might be real mom” joked Geno, causin your smile to wipe off your face
“Uhhh no one’s knockin me up anytime soon Geno"
“Yeah sure” chimed in Jake who looked like he was havin a nice time with his date.
“Jake you’re supposed to be on my side”
“Okay, I’ll be on your side, if you don’t want to be a mom, take birth control”
“JACKSON KEITH BARNES IF YOU DONT SHUT IT I’M---” “(Y/N) relax I’m not going to knock you up...yet” chimed in Sid. You gave him a dirty look “I’m kiddin, sorry” he said as he got scared of your death glare.
“Sorry that was a little far” apologized Jake
“Yeah just a bit, let’s go watch the movie” you said as you grabbed Sid’s hand again and pulled him towards your seats.
The movie was amazing as always, all the questions you had before were answered but now you had new questions and couldn’t wait for the next one.
Sid enjoyed it too but he looked tired as well. You all said your goodbyes and the boys thanked y’all for the invitation.
“May I drive but can I take you somewhere before we head home?” Sid asked you as he sipped the last of his drink
“Yeah if you promise not to knock me up” you said nonchalantly, causin Sid to choke a bit on his drink.
“That’s debatable hahaha”
“Sidnnneyyy”
“Okay I want to show you something, that’s why I had wanted to pick you up”
“Alright here” you said as you handed him the keys to your truck
Sid drove out of the city to some mountains nearby, it was a 20 min drive but you weren’t sure where he was takin you yet. Again it’s like he read your mind about your confusion, “There’s this spot that I like goin to from time to time, it has a beautiful view of the city”, he explained.
All you did was nod at him as you turned and look outside the window. When you guys arrived you saw that Sid was not lying about the view, it was stunnin. He parked the truck in reverse and got out, lookin at you as a sign for you to get out as well. When you got out, you noticed that he put down the tailgate, he sat on it and tapped his hand for you to sit on it next to him. You looked at him suspiciously but didn’t ask any questions yet.
“So, that was a pretty good movie” he said
“Yeah, I give it a 10, great action, great dialogue and man they looked badass” as you started to babble a it.
“You know, I haven’t gone to the movies in a while, so thanks for that (Y/N)”
“Oh, you’re welcome, I’m glad you enjoyed it”
“I did but I enjoyed your company the most” he said causin you to blush, “You’re so beautiful, I look at you and it’s like I’m seein you for the first time, your smile is the most captivating but everything else is just as great” he said.
“Aww thanks Sidney” you replied
“The reason I brought you here is because I come up here sometimes and think about life and shit, how I’ve came to this place, how I’ve came to playing for this city and last week I thought about how you came to me” he said in a shy manner.
“Before we went to Dallas, I came here and thought about how life for me was perfect, when we were at that place, Tyler said to me that his great friend was coming but I didn’t think his great friend was a girl, let alone a beautiful one haha. Geno sensed me looking at you which he likes to tease me about still, I’m just really glad I’ve met you” he said as he looked out into the city.
“I brought you here because I would like for you to be my girlfriend” he stated. You were lost in your thoughts about what he was saying but you smiled at him and said “of course, thought you’d never ask” .
Sid laughed at himself a bit, “When you told me at the bar how I hadn’t asked you to be my girlfriend I was taken back a bit because I thought after our first date it was already official”
“Hahaha no wonder you looked at me that way”, you turned to him, “I knew you didn’t bring me up here just to talk about the movie”, you kissed Sidney for good this time, he was now your boyfriend, thankfully.
Sid kissed you back and then put your head on his chest so you both can look at how beautiful Pittsburgh was. Somethin told Sid that he’d found the one for him, he knew deep down that the moment he saw you, it was all about you.
