It all started in Dallas

It had been a week since having dinner with the guys. You’d been crazy busy setting up all your paperwork for your transfer and your house in Pittsburgh. Although you were really sad to leave Dallas you were excited to start your career and luckily one of your BFFs that you made in the academy, Jake, had accepted an offer in Pittsburgh and he’d be your partner on the job. Jake was a tall guy who pretty much resembled Prince Eric but he was the most humble and sincere man you’d met. Unlike you, Jake was actually from Dallas, he’d grown up on a farm so he was a very hard worker and of course he talked with a southern drawl. Although you both were attractive, its always been a brother/sister relationship between y’all. Jake and you decided to become roommates once you moved to Pittsburgh. You were glad because you’d both would be safer and you knew that you could count on him to take care of your dog as well.

Your department threw a going away party for both of y’all and so did the Dallas team the next day at Jamie and Katie’s home, just the day before you’d leave.
You were sittin on the patio while Ty was grillin and everyone else was servin themselves food.
“I can’t believe you’re actually leavin (Y/N)” Tyler said sadly sippin on his beer
“Same, it hasn’t fully hit me yet and I don’t think it will until I’m over there” I replied
“Like you’ve been the bestest person I’ve met, I messed up a lot with you and I don’t deserve you but I’ll always be appreciative for havin you in my life” he said a little shyly
“I know Ty, but hey we can hang out when you guys visit and I’ll make sure to visit from time to time. I’ll mostly miss your dogs though” you said with a smirk
“Dammit the ONE time I’m being serious you ruin the moment” Tyler said trying not to laugh
“Well I am me Ty so suck it up haha”

“Alright guys! Listen up!” Jamie said walkin out of the kitchen and into the patio
“We all know that unfortunately (Y/N) decided that she’s had enough of us and is startin a new path in Shitsburgh(everyone laughs)…I mean Pittsburgh. But as I speak for us all, we are very VERY proud of you accomplishing your dreams. We’re all going to miss you so much as we won’t have anyone to pick on or a as for some of you a wingwoman to actually get you guys some dates” Jamie said sarcastically
“So that’s how you met Katie right?” Antoinne chirped at Jamie
“I told you guys, if it wasn’t for (Y/N) Jamie would’ve never found a girl” chimed in Sharpie
“But now he’s so whipped”
“Alright alright enough!” Jamie said butt hurt
“ANYWAYS as I was trying to say, we’re really going to miss you and we’re also glad you’ve gotten your shit worked out over there already” he then points to Jake “Now same goes for you Jake, you’ve become like one of our brothers, but please take care of (Y/N) as she thinks she’s Wonder Woman” Jamie added. All the boys agreed to that and Tyler says “She doesn’t think she’s Wonder Woman, she IS Wonder Woman”
“Oh God, kiss her already Segs!” one of the players chirped
“SHUT UPPP jeez” said Tyler defensively but blushing, “Jake please take care of her, make sure she doesn’t date assholes…. how about make sure she doesn’t date anyone haha”. I rolled my eyes as Jake kept noddin to their requests.
“Ohh kayyy dad!” I said cuttin
“Eww daddy kink eh” Tyler said sarcastically
“Shushhhh…I guess this calls for my toast, I want to thank y’all from the bottom of my heart, I can’t imagine how different its going to be not hangin out anymore but you know where to find me when you play vs Shittsburgh.. I mean Pittsburgh. Luckily I have Jake along me but I am very scared haha. I appreciate this party and I love you guys so much” I said as the waterworks came out
“Alright group hug you guys!!” Katie said as she hugged me tightly and kissed me on the cheek.
“Baby, I’m so proud of you and I will tell everyone I know and meet that I know Wonder Woman haha” She said proudly, “But pleaseeee be careful” she said in a serious tone.

It was around 2am when y’all said your goodbyes as your flight was at 11am. Tyler drove you and Jake home and stayed the night as he was your guys chauffeur to the airport.
As you were gettin ready to board Tyler gave you the tightest, longest hug and his eyes got watery. “(Y/N) please be careful, I don’t want anythin to happen to you, I love you” he said. “But give ‘em hell kid” he added referring to Jake and I
“Oh we will” Jake said giving Tyler a hug, “I appreciate man, and you bet I’ll take care of this one.” he told Tyler seriously.
You guys hugged again and then boarded the plane for a 3 hour flight.
