It all started in Dallas

You were bustin your ass at the gym in order to relieve stress. You'd go with or without the guys. It had been about a week since Sidney had kissed you, he had texted you apologizin but you never replied. Tyler kept tellin you to drop it about the fight and to give Sidney a chance.
You had been at the gym for a few hours when you decided to treat yourself to some ice cream after. You went downtown to a mom and pop shop that you had really liked when you ran into Flower and his family.
"Hey (Y/N)" Veronique said
"Hey! How are you guys?"
"Doing well thankfully, so I'm just going to cut to it, why haven't you replied to Sid?"
"Uhh guys I've been busy and frankly I don't know how to apologize to him after the embarrassment I caused him at Phil's"
"Look, we know it wasn't right that he fought Tyler but the man likes you a lot, and maybe he does need to learn how to tell someone he likes them haha." " girls flock themselves to him so he doesn't have to do much until he met you" "He genuinely likes you" added Flower
"Well look, I have to work the next few days but I'll let him know for us to meet up or somethin, how's that?"
"That's great, you both need it"
"Alright see y'all later"

You were scared but ended up textin Sidney to let him know that you'd accepted his apology but would like to talk to him in person, he agreed to as well. You decided you'd meet up after your last overnight shift which you wouldn't get out of until around 7 am. Things however went a bit south on your shift.

You had been car chasin a guy who had kidnapped a child. It was about a 30 min car chase until you were able to fence him in, he however got out of the car and ran.
"Fuck this, meet me around Jake!" you said as you got out of the car to chase the suspect
You were right on his ass as the gym and training had definitely helped with how fast you were keepin up.
"Suspect running north bound on Cherry St" you dispatched
You and him were jumpin fences, you knew you'd get him, you had to.
He all of a sudden stopped and turned to hit you but only grazed your right cheek. You threw in a good punch which dazed him a bit, when you tackled him you guys were wrestlin for a bit, you felt a sting on your ribcage but thought nothin of it.
You finally got on top and pinned him down when Jake caught up to arrest him.
"Way to go Wonder Woman" he joked causin you to laugh
You got up but felt dizzy, you didn't think anything of it as you thought it was from all the runnin and jumpin.
When you guys were about to put him in the cop car you almost lost your balance and felt like you couldn't breathe, thats when you knew something wasn't right.
The other units were searching the area where you had arrested him as they found a knife with blood on it.
"The child is all well so who did he get?" They asked.
Jake immediately looked at you and saw that you were bleeding profusely.
Next thing you knew you fainted.

When you woke up you were in the hospital. Jake, Casey and your chief were right next to you while the other units were waitin outside.
They were all glad to see you were doin okay
"Well good mornin" Jake joked
"Hey what happened?"
"Welp turns out in your little wrestling match which you won, you got stabbed, luckily he didn't puncture anything but stabbed you enough to make you lose a lot of blood which I gave you so I guess we're blood related now hahah"
"Seriously? Hahah aw man, how about the child?"
"Safe and sound"
"Awesome, do you know when I can leave here?"
"Really you want to leave you just woke up hhaha"
"Wonder Woman" said your chief
"You two should be proud of yourselves" he added motioning to you and Jake.
The doctor walked in to see how you were doin
"Well its always great to see someone doin well unfortunately you won't be able to go back to work right away"
"Whyyy?" You asked like a little 5 year old
"Hahah (Y/N) you have a sprain on your right leg and you have been stabbed in your ribcage" "To be safer we don't want you to do any physical activity for about a week, don't lift anythin more than 15 pounds as it can reopen your wound and I will give you a brace and crutches for you to use for a week"
"Mannn this is goin to suck but thank you doctor I appreciate you sowin me back up haha"
"If it makes you feel better, after I finish your paperwork in a few, you are able to go home but please get some rest and if you do go out, wear everything I told you to"
"Yes sir" you said giddy as you couldn't wait to get out of there.
Just as you thought shit I missed meetin Sidney someone came in with balloons and flowers, Sidney, the rest of the team followin him in.
He looked at you serious but then smiled a bit
"Hey Sidney, I'm sorry I couldn't meet up with you"
"No no no, no need to apologize I know what happened"
"Who told you?"
"Uh it was on the news"
You turned on the tv, sure enough it was. You checked your phone and saw that you had a ton of messages from everyone, missed calls from your family so you texted them back saying how you were.
"How are you feelin?" Sid asked
"Good! Just a little sore on my leg and ribs"
"Look at you gettin in a fight haha, I'm really happy to see you're okay, I don't want anything happening to you (Y/N)" He said more seriously
"Thanks Sidney and thanks for the balloons and flowers" you said as you saw how many you had from everyone bringin them.
"Yeah there's a bunch, make sure you don't fly away when you leave hahah"
"Haha we'll see in a bit since I can get checked out soon"
"Nice! Goin straight home?"
"Nope Im starvin hahah plus I have to go to the store to get healthy food because I won't be able to exercise at all for a week" you pouted
"You'll be fine haha I'm glad to take you though, I don't want you driving right now in your state"
"You should see the other guy hahah"
When you got checked out the doctor gave you a list of what you couldn't do. You were just glad to be gettin out. The boys brought you some clothes as you headed out to get food.

You guys went to a small restaurant that was empty enough to sit the entire crew that came with you. As you got food and talked for a bit, you were startin to feel tired when Jake said he'd to the grocery shoppin for you to get some rest.
Everyone said goodbye and to call them if you needed anythin.
Sid drove you home, bringin in your dog who was lickin you like crazy and helped you get upstairs. You couldn't as you felt tired within the 4th step so Sid went upstairs to get your stuff so you can knock out on the couch
He brought pillows, one for your leg and one for your ribs.
"Sidney you don't have to do this" you told him shyly
"I want to, now get some rest. I'll be here watchin tv if you don't mind"
"No no help yourself" you said as you started to close your eyes.
Sid looked at you as you slept and knew this is what he wanted and he wasn't goin to let his fear stop him from makin you his.
The next day the guys and the team came to visit you bringin food to grill. Somehow Phil saw your list of what you couldn't do which you hadn't read yourself.
"Hahah no action for you either" Phil said
"What action?"
"You know...sex"
"Ohhh yeah like I get a ton haha"

Within the week Sid stopped by everyday to see how you were doin. You guys hadn't talked about what had happened at Phil's but you knew as you got better eventually you had to. You went to the hospital to get your stitches out and luckily you were able to get back to work soon.
As you walked into work they yelled out "welcome back!" They put up a sign and brought balloons too, even a cake. You teared up a bit as you saw how much you were appreciated at work. Jake was very happy to have you back as he had been patrolling on his own for the first time.

On your first day back you were textin with Sid all day
Sid: so when are we goin to meet up?
You: soon, I'm off on friday
Sid: we have a game but maybe we can meet after?
You: sure or we can meet before for lunch or somethin?
Sid: Or both? Hahah jk lunch sounds good

Friday came soon, you had come back from the gym as you were gettin ready to have lunch with Sid. You kept your makeup natural, wore some jeans and a thick jacket as it was freezin outside.
Sid had offered to pick you up but you declined because you didn't know how the conversation would go so you wanted to have an exit strategy. You walked in to a nice little restaurant and saw that Sid had picked the booth all the way on the back for privacy, good choice. Here we go you said to yourself.
