Dr. Grey Will See You Now

Today was the day that Kris was having his surgery. Madison was performing it and needless to say she was scared and nervous. But she performed them all the time she could do them in her sleep. Kris was in his hospital bed waiting to be taken to the OR. Madison went to check on him quickly before she had to scrub in.
"Hey baby I just wanted to come in and see you before the surgery." Madison says.
"Hey." Kris says.
"I love you Kristopher and I am going to take very good care of you okay." Madison says leaning over kissing him softly on the lips.
"I love you too Maddie and I know you will take care of me. I have faith in you." Kris says.
"I am glad. Now I have to go get changed and scrubbed and prepare for the surgery." Madison says.
"Okay baby." Kris says.
"I love you and I will see you afterwards in recovery." Madison says.
"I love you too Maddie and I will see you in recovery." Kris says.
Madison walks out of the room. Liz and Micah were in the waiting area. Madison goes over and talks to them for a minute before going to get ready.
A little bit later the wheel Kris in. Madison intubates him and they start the surgery. It went really well and she was able to replace and repair the disc. She closes up. They take Kris to recovery where they were able to extubate him. Madison went to go change so she could be back when he woke up.

Kris woke up groggy.
"Hey baby glad you opened those caramel brown eyes." Madison says.
"How did it go." Kris asks.
"It went great baby. It was a success." Madison says kissing him gently on the lips.
"Thank you." Kris says.
"Glad I could help and fix the problem." Madison says.
"Can I see Micah?" Kris asks.
"Yes for a little bit. But you need your rest." Madison says.
"Okay." Kris says.
She goes out to get Liz and Micah. A few minutes Madison comes back with them.
"Daddy." Micah says.
"Hey buddy." Kris says.
"Ms. Maddie can I hug him." Micah asks.
"Sure but be gentle and avoid his neck." Madison says.
Liz lifts him up and gently lays him on the bed. He goes and lays on Kris's chest avoiding his neck.
Kris put his hands on his back rubbing it.
"I love you daddy." Micah says.
"I love you too buddy." Kris says.
Micah laid there the rest of the visit.
"How did the surgery go?" Liz asks.
"It went well and was a success. He needs to rest tonight and then tomorrow we will slowly start to rehab him." Madison says.
"Good I am glad." Liz says.
"Me too. They are going to keep him tonight just to make sure there are no complications and because of his history with the stroke but he should be in the Rehab facility by Saturday at the latest." Madison says.
"Good how are you? Have you eaten?" Liz asks.
"No I haven't but besides that I feel great." Madison says putting her hand over her belly.
"I will go get you something to eat." Liz says.
"Thanks Madison says.
Liz leaves and a few minutes later she comes back with a sandwich, chips and a drink for her.
"Thank you Liz." Kris says to her.
"No problem." Liz says.
Liz and Micah stay a little bit longer before leaving to let Kris get some rest. Micah kisses Kris before he lets Liz pick him up.
They head out.
Madison kicks off her shoes and gently lays beside Kris laying her head on his chest avoiding his neck.
"I love you baby." Kris says.
"I love you too. Now get little rest okay because you will need to do your breathing exercises soon." Madison says.
"I know." Kris says closing his eyes. Madison closes hers two.
A little bit later Sid and Marc-Andre come to visit. They were giving special visitation privileges. Kris had just finished his breathing exercises.
"We brought the stuff you asked for." Sid says.
"Yeah." Marc-Andre says.
"Thanks guys." Kris says.
"Yeah we won last night." Sid says.
"Good I am glad." Kris says.
"How are you feeling?" Marc-Andre asks.
"Groggy and sore but okay." Kris says.
"Good to hear. How was the surgery?" Sid asks.
"It was a success." Madison says.
"Good. We aren't going to stay long but figured we would stop by since we won't be by tomorrow probably because of the game and then having to head to Columbus for the game on Sunday." Marc-Andre says.
"That is fine. Good luck guys." Kris says.
"Thanks we got motivation. We are going to try to win it all for you." Sid says.
Kris smiled. Marc-Andre and Sid left a few minutes later so that Kris and Madison could get some rest.
"Okay I had them bring you some clothes from home. Do you want me to help to change out of that gown?" Madison asks.
"Please." Kris says.
She finds a pair of lounge pants and a shirt and gets them out along with his boxer briefs. Madison helped him change and then helps him get back into bed. She put his neck brace back on.
"Okay baby now get some rest. I am sure they will have us up early to start rehab." Madison says.
"Yeah and you have to go to work." Kris says.
"Nope I am off for two weeks now. Took vacation to take care of you baby. So as of now I am your own personal doctor." Madison says kissing him.
She curls up to him being careful not to hit his neck and they both fall asleep.
