The Coworker

The rest of last night went a lot better than expected after Sid’s blow up on Bri. She remained silent about it and acted as if nothing was wrong, and no one saw Sid for most of the night after dinner when they went to the club.

Everyone let a little loose last night and that was totally fine with them, they have to take full advantage of that as much as possible because they’re about to be on strict rules for the next few months.

As if they even had time for hangovers today, they were going to do some excursions today and they needed to be on their A-game for that. They had decided to go to a zoo tour their resort took them on so they went to their bus stop and waited for it to arrive.

“There is not enough coffee in the planet to help how I feel this morning,” Kris joked, sipping his fourth cup since he awoke.

“At least you guys didn’t see what happened in the room before we got here,” Katherine laughed, sitting down on the bench next to Bri.

“Someone’s gonna puke on the bus isn’t he?” Bri teased him.

“Probably,” he laughed, taking another shaky sip. He got really out of hand last night.

Geno and Sid came next and Geno looked really rough. He had been trying to get the girl he had seen at dinner and made decent progress by spending the night in her room. It was shocking and definitely funny to hear him talk about. Sid stayed silent, obviously enjoying the peace and quiet.

The bus on the other hand was far from quiet or peaceful. Screaming children, annoyed tourists and an over the top tour guide lead the way to the zoo. They weren’t there to even experience the entire zoo, just to meet the animals and play with them.

Again, the distance was noticeable between Sid and Bri, so the girls did their best to make her feel comfortable and welcome. They took loads of pictures of them with monkey’s taking off their hats and lizards relaxing on their arms. Let alone when the lion cubs came out to play. They were all in their heaven.

Despite the fun they were having they knew they had to get back to the resort to take part in a dolphin swimming activity, and have fun with sea turtles. Catherine couldn’t help but miss her son, knowing how much fun he would have had while on the bus ride back. The girls took up the front of the bus while the men took the back.

“We need to take Alex here,” she sighed, “I miss my boy so much.”

“The girls would have loved this too. Well, Estelle would have anyway,” Vero laughed. “I don’t think our baby would be that aware about this kind of thing yet.”

“She doesn’t even know what half of the food she eats is,” Catherine joked.

“Then again, do you know what her food is?” Bri nudged V’s elbow.

“Very valid. How are things with you and Sid?”

“Meh. He doesn’t want me here, but what is that going to do? I’m keeping my distance, and he’s keeping his. Do you guys find it awkward?”

Truly they wanted to tell her that at times it was a bit much but they knew it wasn’t her fault and they’d never blame her for it. “I think he’s making more of a spectacle of this than there needs to be. Like, you can keep it professional at work but can’t be civil outside of the office? He needs to grow up,” Catherine started.

“I don’t think he knows how to handle everything Bri,” Vero sighed. “He seems to be going through a lot mentally.”

“Well maybe he should see the team psychiatrist when he gets back,” Bri huffed. “I’ve gone above and beyond to keep my distance with him and he needs to get over himself. His ego never used to be this big, I don’t know why all of a sudden he feels the need to be the big and mighty Sidney Crosby the world thinks he is.”

“That’s not who he is. Maybe he has deeper issues going on?” Catherine asked.

“I think he feels intimidated by you Bri, maybe because he knows you have the power to reveal too much to the world and is scared you will so he’s acting defensive,” Vero pleaded.

“Well whatever it is, he needs to stop with this attitude and let me enjoy my vacation,” she laughed, fixing her sunglasses. She caught a glimpse of Sid looking as hot as ever. This trip has been a terrible reminder of the man she was missing and just how physically attractive he was.

Meanwhile at the back of the bus the boys were doing the usual, scoping out the girls on the bus. “Bri is the hottest non married one on this bus,” Geno stated.

“The chick in the bikini by her is pretty hot,” Kris argued.

“No, Bri’s better. That girl probably is no good,” Geno chuckled, doubting the ‘bikini babe’s’ ability to do anything sexual. “You’ve been with her Sid, how’s she in bed?”

“Bri?” he asked. Geno nodded and Sid sat contemplating, rubbing his chin. “She’s probably the best I’ve ever had. The girl can suck dick like no one I’ve ever had and she knows what she’s doing.”

Their eyes grew wide that the private Captain was revealing something about his sex life, let alone a girl he obviously had feelings for who is now a co worker. “Really!?” they asked in unison. They didn’t mean to sound so excited, but they were so shocked.

“Yeah. No gag reflex, made it nice and sloppy, and she was kinky as hell beyond just giving head. That’s the one thing I’ll give her credit for, being a dirty whore.”

Flower almost fell over on the bump the bus just hit and from being so shocked those words came out of his mouth. Sid respected women and their privacy, why is he being this way? He exchanged a look with Tanger that said it all, “what the fuck.”
