"In the middle of September we'd still play out in the rain
Nothing to lose but everything to gain
Reflecting now on how things could've been

I wake up to September by Daughtry on the radio and Tiffany singing along while folding her laundry. I take a look at the clock and it's just about noon. I need to get up and unpack my clothes and get my school stuff together for class on Monday.

"Oh, sorry, did I wake you?" asks Tiffany as she turns while folding a pair of jeans. "Is it okay if my boyfriend comes over today?"

"Sure, do what you want," I say while yawning and stretching. "Just let me unpack before he gets here."

"Sure thing."

I grab my toothbrush and tooth paste and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I need to unpack and get settled in. I walk back to the room. I start to unpack my clothes.

"So, you got any big plans tonight?" asks Tiffany turning to face me.

"No, why? You want to hang out or something?" I ask kind of surprised. Nobody ever really wanted to hang out with me.

"Of course. My boyfriend got tickets for the Pens game tonight. First preseason game."

"That sounds like fun! I have never seen the Pens play before except on TV."

"Tonight is going to be fun. My boyfriend is coming to pick us up."

We finish unpacking. Tiffany's phone rings.

"Hey babe...So you will be here around five? Okay sounds like a plan...Love you, see you tonight," says Tiffany as she hangs up the phone. "He will be here around five. The game starts at seven."

"Sounds good."

It's almost five and he isn't here yet. I continue to do my hair and makeup. I go through my closet and take out my Olli Maatta jersey. My parents bought me this jersey for my birthday a few weeks ago and I have yet to wear it. Mainly because I wanted to keep it clean. Tiffany walks into the room and puts on her Crosby jersey.

"He's down in the car. You ready to go?" asks Tiffany as she ties her hair back in a ponytail.

"Yes. I can't wait for this game," I say as I grab my pursse and follow Tiffany out the door. We get outside and there is a nice looking Range Rover. I take one look at the driver and my mouth drops open.

"You're dating Sidney Crosby?"

"Yeah, if I told you, I didn' think you would believe me, so I decided to show you."

"That's awesome! But I would have believed you if you told me."

We get into Sid's Range Rover and we head to PPG Paints Arena. This is the first Penguins game I have ever attended and I am so excited.

"So Alysha, Tiffany told me about you. I see that you're a Maatta fan," says Sid as we leave the campus and head onto the main road.

"Yeah, he has been one of my favorite players. I like the whole team, but Maatta stands out to me."

"He is a great player. I know he's your favorite, I won't be offended," says Sid chuckling. We get to the arena and Tiffany gives Sid a kiss on the cheek and we head inside as Sid heads to the locker room.

"I told Sid that you're a major Penguins fan. He wanted to meet you so he got us these tickets for tonights game. I was going to go anyways, but we both want you to be here."

We find our seats in the arena. Nobody is here yet, but it is still wicked early. Sid had to be here two hours before warmups. I can't believe how close we are to the ice. We are going to have a great view when the game starts.

"We were going to sit up with the rest of the WAGs, but I usually can't see the puck from there, even with my glass," says Tiffany as she cleans her glasses. She is as blind as a bat. We just sit there talking for awhile. The fans started to pile in. The game is going to start soon.

The Penguins dah onto the ice. The game starts in about five minutes. This is so exciting. I am already having a ton of fun and the game hasn't started yet. I was really hoping to Marc-Andre Fleury play, but he got drafted to play for the Golden Knights. I was sad when that happened to where I wanted to cry. I notice Maatta is stretching by the benches and Sid is stretching right there next to him. It looks like they are talking about something. Sid skates away leaving Maatta with a smile. Wonder what he said to him. The game is about to start. The teams load the benches and the game is going to start. Sid wins the opening faceoff. The Pens are playing the Sabres, which this should be an easy win. Sid carries the puck up the ice and takes a shot at the net, which Lenher (Not sure how to spell his name) makes the save. He lets out a huge rebound and Maatta slaps the puck right back at the net and it just bounces over Lenher's pad and into the net for a goal. Already, the Penguins score. That was an insane play as the red light comes on and the horn sounds. All the fans jump to their feet and cheer loudly. The ref drops the puck and Sid wins another draw. The puck goes back to Maatta, who passes it to Letang. He passes the puck up to Sid and he takes a shot. Lenher saves that one. Sid gets it again and passes over to Maatta. He passes to Letang who passes back to Sid. Jake Eichel knocks Sid into the boards, hard. Kessel gets the puck back and quickly shoots top shelf. The puck sails in the air right over the glove of Lenher and into the net for another goal. Tiffany quickly stands, not because they scored, but because Maatta and Letang are helping Sid to the bench. Kessel follows them with Hagelin. Malkin jumps onto the ice to take Sid's spot. Sid goes to the locker room.

"I will be right back," says Tiffany as she quickly leaves.

The Penguins win. Murray gets the shutout. Maatta has two goals, Kessel has one and Malkin has one. Tiffany is starting to look a little worried. There are so many people that she can't get by them to go to the locker room.

"Alysha, I need to go and help Sid. He has a concussion and I need to meet him at the hospital. One of his teammates is giving me a ride there, but I got you a ride back to school. He should be outside." Tiffany gets around the people and she runs to the locker room. I was left confused. I know that she needs to go to see Sid, but she didn't tell me who is giving me a ride back to campus. I walk out of the building and see a car parked out front. I don't know much about cars, but this car is really nice. Not sure if it's the person who is bringing me back to school. The guy gets out of his car and my mouth drops open. I swear I wanted to cry tears of joy. Olli Maatta is giving me a ride back to school.
