Moving up to the NHL

Jarry's POV

"So, what did she say?" asks Sid after a long silence. I can thank him for this. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have had a chance with her.
"She said 'yes'. Man if it wasn't for you this wouldn't have happened. Thank you."
"Anything for a friend. I just want you to adjust well to Pittsburgh. Not only hockey-wise, but city-wise too. However, you should take her someplace nice. Maybe Applebees? Even Longhorn would work."
"At least you give real advice. All the other guys would talk about getting her in bed or whatever."
"Yeah, they do that. They like to have a little bit of fun. They did that when me and my girlfriend got together," says Sid as he stands up and stretches and starts to walk towards his room. "Well, I'm going to bed."
"Me too," I say as I head into my room and shut my door. Sid is one of the most helpful guys on the team. He doesn't judge, but he will if he is just messing around. Until I find out how long I am staying in Pittsburgh, I'm staying here with Sid. Beats living in a hotel. I can't wait until tomorrow. I just keep thinking about it. I'm too excited to sleep.

Natalie's POV

The second day on the job is taking forever. I haven't told Karen or Kristen, yet, but I am super excited. I have had a big smile all day, so I assuming they are suspecting something.
"So, Natalie, what's with the smile?" asks Karen as she approaches me and Kristen at the front counter. I'm still training with Kristen. She's just showing me how to use the cash register and make some coffee and all that fun stuff.
"Do not tell anybody, it's too soon for anyone to know, but I'll tell you guys because you are the first friends I made here in Pittsburgh, but I'm going out with Tristan after work."
"Tristan Jarry? I told you he was into you," says Karen giving me the 'I told you so' look. And she was right. I should have did something when she told me he was into me. What could I have done? She was right about Tristan, but Sid is the one that made this happen. I can thank him if I ever see him, which if this works out with Tristan, I'll probably be seeing Sid around as they are good friends.

I text Tristan to tell him I'm done with work. I did say that I was out at noon, but I just want to make sure he remembers. He texted me back saying he's in the parking lot. This morning when I told my parents that I am going out, they gave me this whole lecture on guys. They have given me the sex talk every time I go out with someone, even if they are just a friend. Tristan is just a friend for right now, but I hope he becomes more than that. Kristen and Karen were even nice enough to give me advice. I have never actually been on a date before. Although, we were going to go out for dinner, but I guess that turned into lunch. I look at see Tristan in the parking lot standing next to his car. He does have a nice sports car. I think it's a Mustang or something. Celebrities always have the nicest shit. I walk over to him. Gosh, he is so gorgious.
"Where do you want to go?" he asks as we get in his car. Still has the new car smell and it looks pretty new.
"Wherever you want," I say as I buckle my seatbelt.
"Thanks for letting me take you out. I wanted to do dinner, but coach scheduled a practice for tonight. If you want to go you can. Just the guys won't cool the teasing."
"Trust me, I have been through a lot of shit today. My parents had to give me the sex talk and Karen and Kristen gave me advice or whatever. I do have a confession to make though."
"What is it?"
"I haven't actually been out with a guy before. Like I have been out with my friends, but as a group. Ya know?"
"Yeah. It's okay. And I'm not sure if your parents trust me, but I am not the kind of guy that only dates for sex. Sure, every guy wants that, but not every guy wants just that."
"Yeah, I trust you."
"Well, Sid told me I should take you someplace nice. What about Applebees?"
"Yeah, that sounds great."
I am so nervous. Not sure if he can tell, but I definately feel it. I did change out of my uniform and into something comfortable but sexy. I really want to see him again, even if today doesn't go well. I really do have interest in him, which is weird seem how I was never really into dating. This is my first offical date and I am so excited. I can't believe that it is finally happening and with my favorite goalie...
