This Is Where It Begins
Bruised
TWO WEEKS LATER
William took a sip of his coffee, continuing his walk along the Strip. All he could think about was Trinity, they hadn't talked since the All-Star break. He shook his head, unable to think about Jonathan being with her. Why him? She didn't know him all her life, he couldn't speak her language.
Will snapped back to reality just in time to catch a glimpse of Trinity ahead of him. Was it actually her? Or was he delusional? It actually was her, but before he could talk to her, Jonathan came running towards her. A coffee and an iced chai latte in hand; Trinity's favourite, chai. He handed it to her, then entwined his fingers around hers, kissing the bridge of her nose.
William quickly passed by the two. His head tilted down towards the sidewalk, but he didn't pass by quick enough to hear her say...
"Aww, Jon. You know I need to watch my caffeine intake." Trinity said with a stern look, but ended up laughing.
As he passed the couple, he thought about what she had said. William forgot his own thoughts when he heard a shriek from behind him. His head whipped around, startled by the noise.
"Trin!" Jonathan shouted, which caused Will to panic. He pushed through the crowd gathered around them. To his surprise, it wasn't just him and Jonathan. Marc-Andre was also on the Strip, and was there with Jonathan before William was.
Will saw Jonathan panicking, which he had never seen before. Then he saw Trinity on the concrete, passed out. William stayed back, not wanting to interfere for his own sake.
"Marchy! Calm down! She'll be fine." Marc spoke to Jonathan as he tried to wake Trinity up.
"Calm down?! How can I do that! My pregnant fiancée just collasped on the ground!" He responded sharply to Marc, who was as equally surprised about what was just said as everyone else was.
No one said anything as Trinity woke up, very alert, out of breath, and with extreme and unsual bruising on her arms. She stood, frightened by the crowd around her.
Jonathan quickly wrapped his arm around her, and faded into the crowd, out of sight.

LATER THAT WEEK
Jonathan sat on the edge of the bed, handing Trinity tylenol and water, concern taking over. "I've never been pregnant before, but I'm pretty sure that isn't a side affect." He motioned towards her arms, which were completely black and blue, and covered in tiny red dots.
"Well either way, Im getting blood drawn tomorrow to find out the gender of our baby." She grabbed Jonathan's hand, wincing as she pulled him down to her.
"Take it easy, Baby-Doll. I'm excited, you're gonna be a great mom." He smiled, kissing her lips.
Neither of them would be prepared for the news that came the next day.
